The utility of this product just keeps getting better and better as our baby ages! We initially purchased this for our baby at 3/4 months to help with his flat spot. It has helped greatly to minimize pressure points to the back of his head when he was on his back. He loved the colors and textures on the fabric and practiced gripping the flaps on the fabric with his hands. The interesting textures and colors encouraged our baby to move around and turn side to side reaching and grabbing. As he got older and was attempting to sit upright, we inflated it fully and it supported him when he inevitably fell over, providing a soft cushion and acted as a very portable playpen to contain him. Now that our baby is trying to crawl, he puts himself on his belly halfway over the inner tube and practices moving his arms and legs while the tube supports the weight of his body (his arms and legs are not strong enough yet to do this). It is definitely helping him learn to crawl. All this time our baby has never lost interest in the colorful fabric and textures. The fabric is soft, but very sturdy and withstands staining. It's very easy to wash. Ours playpen has been deflated and inflated several times as we have transported it to the grandparents' house and stays inflated. I was a little hesitant about buying a PVC product for our baby, but after letting the tube offgas for a few days after it arrived, there was no residual plastic odor. If you're hesitating on buying this product, just stop and buy it! You will be so happy you did!

This is a super cute way to make sure your baby stays safe! It's basically a big innertube like a pool float. With a pillow case over it. But it is soft and has the toys to play with. And gives room to grow with it. My only complaint is it's a bit challenging to store it some where. And don't make the same mistake as me where I blew up the innertube first then tried putting it into the sleeve. Lol it won't work. Gotta put it in before you inflate it. It's easy to clean and it can also double as a lounger I figured out lol I flip it over and lay my baby on it and it keeps her off the ground kinda like a hammock lol and she was extremely comfortable. All in all its a good purchase.

My son would not sit up at 8 months old. He was sitting up in 3 days after using this. I started putting him in here in 5, 10, 15 minute increments. He was up to 30 minutes by day 3 and totally entertained by the attached toys. Huge help. He is now 10 months old and still likes to play with it. He can crawl in and out now and that is super entertaining to him. He still plays with this tube every morning when I put my makeup on. Cover is easy to remove and wash. I will buy one for every baby shower.

The playnest has been used many times and in many ways in my house. I have 6 1/2 month old twins and we've had the playnest for 5 1/2 months. Side note: Follow the directions when they say don't fill the inner tube up all the way when a baby is younger. Also, deflate a little to take cover off for washing. Uses: holds one baby while caregiver tends to a quick chore or another baby tandem feeding tummy time (instrumental since one of my boys used to hate tummy time & this props up like a Boppy) Sensory toys (little flaps of fabric have crinkly noises that my boys love to gum) Practice sitting (fall over and land on something soft) Independent sitting Mini ball pit (balls purchased separately) I should also add that both of my boys have learned how to crawl out of it in the last 2 weeks--but to me, that's just another activity they can do with the playnest.

I actually purchased this before my son was born but didn't start using it until he was a few months old. I actually forgot that I had it, unfortunately. But I was super excited once I found it. It is easy to inflate and not as terrible as I thought it would be to get the inflatable tube part into the cover. I mean, it wasn't like great fun - but it wasn't the worst. When my son was around 4 months old we put him in there and let him just lounge because his head was supported.. You can increase the level of inflation with the pump. At this age, I only inflated the tube partially so that it would be soft enough to cradle his head and neck. It was great to have a place to just lay him in so that I could do things around the house. At 6 months, I inflated it a bit more and used it as a tool to help teach him to sit up by himself, which is wasn't yet mastering. And now, at 11 months, he OBSESSIVELY climbs in and out of the tube and interacts with the fun little flaps and squeakers on the sides of the cover. I didn't think this was going to be so useful at this age but little dude really REALLY loves it. I am serious when I say that he will crawl in and out of it at least 50 times without getting tired. He gets a real kick out of it. At this point it is fully inflated and supportive. I love this because there aren't too many toys that can keep my son's attention for more than a few minutes but he really wears himself out with this thing. We use it now primarily before bed time so that he can get nice and tired from doing his laps in and out of it. It's easy to clean and easy to inflate and deflate if you need to. It's a toy that can be used for a LONG time so I have absolutely no qualms with the price. I would recommend this to any new parent in a heartbeat. PS (My bunny is pretty fond of it too. I might have to get this rabbit her own, lol!)

I tend to be a minimalist when it comes to baby products. I was looking for a piece of equipment for my 4 month old as she was starting to show some interest in sitting more upright. I did many searches for good reviews that would help her both developmentally and ergonomically. I came across a physical therapist review of the Galt playnest. They had nothing but good things to say about it. I really like that it was inflatable so it is easier to store than some equipment pieces. Upon arrival the playnest was very easy to inflate and slip into the fabric cover and is everything and more that the company promised. The cover is full of interactive and fun sensory textures and very easy to remove for washing. This playnest will be going on my list of baby product recommendations for friends.

I really love this! Got this for my 4 month old for Christmas as she does not really like the Bumbo or the Sit me up and I felt like this would last longer because she can use it to keep her occupied when she is fully sitting up. It's kind of like an elevated play mat or the next step in play mats in my opinion. It's essentially an innertube with a removable cover. The cover is washable and has crinkle paper, raised items for sensory exploration (e.g., pig's nose, horses tail), and is very fun and colorful for little one. The edges of the inner ring are kind of lipped so they help suppose her at this age where she is not able to sit up on her on. And I love it at this age because when she is tired of "sitting", she just slides down into a laying position rather than slumping over like in the Bumbo or sit me up. It's also good for when she wants to lay on tummy because she has lots of things to look at and play with. For me though the biggest bonus was that it keeps her contained and safe when she gets a little bigger and now from her 3-year-old brother who can sit outside the ring and play with her. When she was laying on the play mat, I was always terrified he was going to step on her! The material is also heavy enough that it doesn't flip over or anything when you lean on the side, even when my 3-yr-old does it. It's easy to store, I just prop it up against the wall, and if you wanted to store it long term, you can just deflate it and pack it up. Overall, great purchase, and I am very pleased with it. Here is a picture of my little one with it at Christmas. She had just turned 4 months.

My LO has physical therapy weekly due to her being born premature. Her PT couldn’t stop talking about how this is so much better for babies than the bumbo seat. It gives her protection if she falls over and also gives her some where to place her hands to stabilize herself. It also allows them movement to explore as the bumbo seat is restrictive. With this she started sitting up on her own around 3.5 to 4 months old. She also likes the crinkle attachments and I also got a few balls to turn it into a mini ball pit for her. Great product she loves it!

Instant I put my son in he grinned at me. Instant favorite! My son is extra large at the 95% percentile so at first I was worried he'd be too big and fall out but he fits perfect! You can adjust thr inner tube air so it fits every baby's size. He never tires of the toys built into it. I bought this because I heard from a pediatrician that this was the best for learning to sit and chairs that encourage feet to be flat on the floor help learn to sit better. She told me she actually hates bumbo chairs because they force babies to hurt their spine by holding it at a unnatural angle. It also forces babies not ready yet to sit slouched which makes muscle strength in the torso unequal. After I started using this and letting my son sit on the floor with support, he Jumped ahead with the milestone to bear his own weight when held up! Made me a happy mom when his pediatrician tested it and was shocked at his good he held his weight.

Love this! Best purchase for my daughter for Christmas! She’s had it for a month now (currently 6.5 months) and she loves it. I love how she can practice sitting or in other positions and really works her core. And it gives her confidence to try different positions because it catches her any way! I rarely write reviews, but really bc I love this so much, I just had to review! And, oh, I can get so much more done in my kitchen, because, did I mention how much she loves this and it entertains her? I thought so. ;)
