This made a huge difference for me..
I love this thing. I had been using a CPAP for about 6 months and was suddenly getting a lot of sinus inflammation and sinusitis even with weekly hose cleanings. My doctor recommended a daily cleaner so I tried the SoClean. I use a ResMed AirSense with a Philips Dreamwear Nasal Pillow mask. I had to get an adapter bracket to connect the machine to my water reservoir. However, the setup was SUPER easy. I programmed the cleaning cycle for 10:00AM every morning. The unit sits on the shelf under my nightstand; when I wake up in the morning, I just toss my mask in the cleaner and it’s nice and fresh when bedtime comes around. I have heard some people complain about the ozone smell after cleaning but I love it; it smells fresh and reminds me of the old school electric bumper cars you used to see at carnivals. However, the most important part is that after about a week of usage, I started waking up in the morning with much less sinus irritation and no sinus infections since.

Gets rid of sinus infection symptoms. Saves $$$.
I am completely satisfied with this purchase. Here's why... Before I started using the SoClean, I didn't really do a good job keeping my ResMed CPAP clean... I mean, who really wants to clean the thing with mild soap and water on a weekly, let alone a daily basis. There was no way the equipment would be dry every night before use if I cleaned it with water every day. So, I didn't. What did that cause?? It caused me to have constant symptoms of sinus infection... excess mucus, having to flush my sinuses with NeilMed twice per day, using Flonaze and Mucinex twice per day, etc.. When I started using the SoClean, those symptoms went away. Amazing!!! Who knew? As for the smell that the cleaning creates, it really is tolerable after letting the air run for at least 30 seconds before using it. And it becomes even more tolerable after 2-3 uses. So, considering the cost of regular Flonaze and Mucinex use, I'm saving money.

So easy to use!
Arrived quickly and in perfect condition. So much easier to clean my tubing and mask this way. My sleep doctor is not a fan, but the ease of this keeps me compliant with cleaning and is likely avoiding infections. I’ve been using mine for a year successfully and we bought this one more recently for my husband. One thing to remember when traveling is to take the piece inside the water chamber to put back on the original chamber if not taking the SoClean with you. I remembered to grab the other chamber but not that piece inside and my CPAP wouldn’t work. I had headaches on the trip from not using my CPAP.

If you have CPAP, this will make your life so much easier and healthier!!
Fantastic product! If you have CPAP...you NEED this. Saves so much time, wake up, drop in the mask and hose while still connected to the CPAP, fill the water reservoir and close the lid. I have it programmed to clean everything around 10am. Come home from work to a fresh, clean, sanitized CPAP. The ONLY caveat I have is that IF you travel and don't take the SoClean with you. Be SURE to have all the original parts of your water reservoir with you...including the seal between the top/bottom or your CPAP won't work...found that out the hard way. I purchased a complete seperate resevoir now that is already in my CPAP travel bag so it won't happen again! Well worth the cost! Works as advertised. LOVE IT!

Great solution to an annoying problem. Buy one!
I was recently diagnosed with OSA. I chose the CPAP route as it seemed to be the most reasonable and effective way to deal with OSA. Then I learned that I am supposed to fill/empty the humidifier reservoir every day, clean my mask/hose with soap and water every day, and soak the whole thing in a water and vinegar mixture once a week. That posed a problem for me. On the one hand, I really like for things to be clean, especially when I am breathing using that thing for hours at a time. On the other hand, the level of commitment required to keep it clean and healthy is too damn high. Enter the SoClean. This thing is freaking brilliant. It generates O3 (aka activated oxygen, ozone) and pumps it into the water in the reservoir, down the hose, through the mask, and lets the whole thing sit for a couple of hours until all the O3 is gone (O3 is unstable, only lasting about two hours normal circumstances). If you're like me, you may not have realized that O3 has the interesting quality that it kills just about anything organic that it comes into contact with. The upside is - if you set this thing to run every day - you don't need to empty the reservoir, you don't have to do the daily cleanings, and you don't have to do the weekly cleanings. Now you may want to do some additional hand cleaning occasionally - this won't remove facial oils or similar substances - but from a health safety perspective, it will be safe to use regardless of whether or not you have hand cleaned it recently. The company recommends using their "prewash" every 5 or 6 weeks for that reason. The downside, as many have mentioned, is the smell. There are ways to deal with the smell, but there will be a smell, and you will notice it. Speaking for myself, I don't really mind the smell. It's not a particularly bad smell, and I guess I associate it with the fact that everything was recently disinfected, so it's even comforting in that regard. TL;DR - The SoClean should be standard issue for CPAP users. The smell really isn't that bad. If you can afford it, buy it.

A well-thought-through and well-implemented solution
I don't usually rave, but I have to about this. Properly cleaning a CPAP machine plus mask and hoses is a particularly boring and time-consuming task. This machine eliminates the task. All the evidence I needed that it worked better than manual cleaning came the first time I used it: Everything came out smelling horrible! When I read some of the early reviews, I found out that was the smell of dead, rotting lifeforms inside those supposedly clean tubes, masks, and machine innards. One more thorough cleaning, and the smell went away to never return. The product is remarkably easy to use: Just open the lid, throw in any accessories, which in my case includes a chin strap and sleep shade, along with the mask (it's pipe trails out the side of the machine). Close the lid and you're done, maybe 15 seconds work per day total. The machine works by generating ozone for about 10 minutes every day, letting it circulate through every nook and cranny of the machine, hose, and mask, and then converting the ozone back into oxygen with a carbon filter. I know the smell of ozone, and I've never smelled the faintest whiff. Cons: The small one: It's a pain to set the clock, and you have to so the loud buzz of the ozone generator happens, for example, at noon, not at 3:00 in the morning. The small one made suddenly very big: The manufacturer was too cheap to include a battery for the clock, so even after the briefest of power outages, you get to set the clock again. I was lucky enough to already have a non-interruptable power supply nearby, so I just plugged the device in there. Hint: If you get one for the AirSense 10, the adaptor is missing the gasket that wraps around the bottom. You are expected to use the one from the existing top. Forget, and you will have much sputtering, initially from the air and water pouring out and, later, from yourself as you clean up. Not a big deal, but it comes as a bit of a shock. My personal modification: I find having to remove and fill the water tank to be a bother, so I drilled a 5/8" hole in the top of the adaptor, bought a laboratory-grade cork and wrapped it in sandwich bag plastic, so the ozone wouldn't attack the rubber. To fill the reservoir, I pull the cork, drop in a funnel, and pour in distilled water.

I No Longer Feel Like I am Drowning From a Wet Hose!
I am really happy I bought this machine. There is a video on youtube by SoClean that can show you how to hook this up if you are having problems, "Setting up the SoClean with ResMed AirSense 10". SoClean has a whole series of videos that will show how to hook up all of thier different adapter lids to your specific machines. It is pretty simple to do, especially after you watch the video. The first time I hooked up the SoClean and used it, I have to admit, the smell was quite overwhelming. It was kind of a metal taste in my mouth. Since then, it is not so bad and like others have said, it kind of gives you the sense of sanitized machine and room. I use distilled water in my machine, but I am glad that it sanitizes the water as well as the machine, especially if the water is in the reservoir for more than a day. I am new to the CPAP world and this has been quite an adjustment. I am sleeping better and longer and feel well rested now. Now I have peace of mind that I am keeping all of my breathing equipment germ-free. Is it worth the price? Absolutely!! Before I made this purchase I was hand cleaning everything. Sometimes I couldn't get all of the water out of the hose and I would wake up in the middle of the night with water in my mask. It felt like I was drowning! Obviously, I didn't know there was water left in the hose. This was an awful feeling. I no longer have to go through that nightmarish feeling of drowning. Then, I started using a product that kills bacteria 99%, it was and is great for the mask, but I never felt it was completely cleaning the hose. The hose is where I have struggled with cleaning and sanitizing. Even if you buy a seperate hose to alternate, while one hose is drying, it is also collecting dust and I also had a fear of a spider crawling inside it. I live on acreage and in the high desert, so dust and critters are inevitable! Also, using the humidifier is a must. This machine has solved my problems and now I sleep like a baby!!

SoClean unit exceeds expectations.
I have been very pleased with my purchase of the SoClean system. I read a lot of feedback on the smell of the face mask after cleaning. Actually, I like the disinfected smell. It is immediate feedback to me that my mask and hose have been cleaned. Frankly, I was not very disciplined with the manual cleaning process in the past. The SoClean system makes it easy and most likely more effective. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase.

Surprised me
I really thought this might be some sort of scam and not really effective. I've been using a CPAP for 15 years and have become very lax about cleaning the parts with no increase in sicknesses that I could see so why bother? But the nagging thought that I really should be paying more attention to cleaning it pushed me to pay the money and get one. What I found is that it is super easy to use and takes care of my nagging guilt over not washing it daily (or ever). Plus the morning congestion and sneezing I frequently had for maybe half an hour or so is a thing of the past. It has definitely made a change. Yes, it does smell bad at first but that passes. I hope it lasts because if it breaks down I'm going to miss it and want it fixed ASAP.

This thing is awesome. I got the adapter to hook it up ...
This thing is awesome. I got the adapter to hook it up to my ResMed Airsense 10. Super easy. There are videos on youtube about how to hook it up to many various PAPs including the ResMed Airsense 10. In the morning I just put the mask in the chamber and go. When I go to bed at night clean mask, hose, reservoir (including water) for humidifier. Saves me tons of time and hassle. No more messy hand washing. Worth every penny.
