Everyone who uses 18 volt Ryobi devices should have two batteries.
If you have an appliance that came with one 18 Volt Lon battery, I suggest you purchase a spare so that you'll always have one charged. I have two Ryobi devices that use this battery: a leaf blower and a hand held vacuum. The leaf blower exhausts its charge after blowing off about half our our driveway. By having two batteries, I can always be sure that I'll have the juice I need to complete my projects. Incidentally, be careful. There are knockoffs out there, often NiCad or other technologies which are not as effective as Lithium Ion.

Battery is strong AND light!
These are replacing some old yellow 18 volt batteries. They charge faster, have the same energy throughout their use cycle (no dwindling off), and they have an indicator that shows power level when I pick up the tool so I know if I want to replace the battery at the get-go, or use it as is and see how far it takes me. I got these because they are 1/2 the size (and weight) of the biggest ones available. They last about 2 times as long as the old lithium batteries (which had the black charging nose versus the green one these have), and about 1/2 as long as the biggest battery Ryobi makes. Their big benefit, is they are very light compared to the old yellow batteries they are replacing, and lighter than the biggest Lithiums from Ryobi.

Awesome Battery
Works as expected. Love this new battery compared to my old model Ryobi. More powerful and last longer. Slim size is just perfect.

Works great.
Works great. One of these batteries they came with my drill was not charging correctly. The battery would only show one charge status light illuminated no matter how long it was charged. I guess it was just defective. This replacement battery works great.

Works, no regrets with this battery!
Works great with my ryobi one impact driver. Highly recommend. Has not failed me and seems to last as long as I need it on full charge. Glad I went with this one vs. other alternatives.

Holds a charge longer
I got this for a cordless trimmer (weed whacker) because the battery that came with it would only allow 12-15 minutes of run time, which wasn't quite long enough to do everything I needed. This battery holds a charge longer - more like 20 minutes, and it doesn't slow down or peter out until right before it is completely drained.

but it seems like a good replacement for the older version
I have only very limited usage with this battery so far, but it seems like a good replacement for the older version, Ni-cd I was using and no longer holding a charge very well after 15+ yrs.

Great battery if you want this size and amp hour rating
Not much to be said, it works as you would expect it to. Make sure you know what size you are getting (e.g. how many amp hours). Ryobi now has a series of different amp hour rated batteries, so none of them are the same. I like this smaller size for drill and caulking jobs because it is lighter and less clumsy. So for instance this P107 is 1.5 amp hours. The P122 is 4 amp hours. The more amp hours the longer the battery will go before needing a recharge. Also remember this needs the dual charger, not the original nicad only charger.

A better system
Gradually replacing my Craftsman C3 tool system with Ryobi One +. The Craftsman tools were pretty good but their battery systems are overpriced junk that don't last. Some didn't last 6 months in very light service before they would no longer recharge. None have last more than 2 or 3 years. So far, the oldest of the Ryobi One + batteries I have bought has already outlasted even the longest lasting of any of my C3 batteries. I expect much longer life from the Ryovbi system. Time will tell.

Great battery
I've had a bunch of Ryobi 18V tools since 2009. First batteries (6 years old now) are just starting to fail. I'd say that's an outstanding life! Between the big 4ah bats and these smaller bats I actually prefer the smaller ones for most applications. If you have two of these small bats you really won't need the bigger ones.
