works well, and is small and portable

In the past i would spread deodorant on my inner thighs and then put baby powder on top to prevent chafing. This would work pretty well, but only for a couple hours (or shorter if it's really hot out and I'm sweating) before I would need to re-apply. MONISTAT powder gel works about the same as the deodorant-baby powder method, but what I like about it is it come in a small bottle that I can easily fit in my purse. So when it's time to reapply, I can easily step away to the bathroom, pull it out of my purse and do so. If you like to wear sundresses in summer or a tight skirt to the office, and you have a problem with chafing, I highly recommend this product. I haven't found anything else that's better yet.

Great for men and women

I have been using this product for 12 years now. It works well for chaffed areas, including inner thigh chaffing for ladies and nipple chaffing for male athletes. Male co-workers ask me to buy this for them since they were embarrassed to buy a Monistate product but really wanted something that they knew worked. It's a gel-powder so it isn't greasy and it last longer than talc and baby powder. I use it to prevent chaffing and for already chaffed areas. It spreads easily and only needs to be applied in a thin layer, so one tube goes a long way. Aside from athletes, I recommend this to people traveling in humid climates that plan to walk a bit or to anyone planning to do anything where there is a possibility of clothes getting wet and causing chaffing.

This stuff is magic

The branding and name is all wrong...by putting Monistat on the package it's immediately associated with yeast infections and feminine care, but that's not what it's about! It's a very light, soft, smooth (almost powdery) feeling substance that you can use to prevent chafing, or soothe a chafed area. It's not sticky like Ultra Glide or Vaseline. It's wonderful for "chub rub" between the thighs, and for underwire rubbing near the armpit. My husband even uses it (somewhere). If they took the same goop and packaged it differently and marketed it to athletes I'll bet it would sell like the proverbial hotcakes.

Love Love Love this stuff! I live in Florida and anytime you are outside you are going to sweat! Being a curvier girl I have always dealt with the dreaded chub rub. I decided to give this a try and I am so happy I did! it is seriously so smooth that you get no chaffing at all! This price is amazing for how well the product works. I love that it is small enough I can toss it in a bag if I know I will be doing a lot of walking that day. Usually, I have no need to reapply during the day. Additionally, the main ingredient in this is the same main ingredient as most primers for your face so it is a win win if you want to get two uses out of the product! Get this product and you will be a repeat buyer.

So yeah, peri-menopause and hot sweats and itchy crotch. Woohoo. Thought I had a yeast infection, did 2 rounds of Monistat, still had the terrible crotch itch. Tried some expensive tea tree oil soap. Tried some jock itch cream. Bought new underwear. Nothing was working and it was starting to seem like I'd just be itchy and miserable forever when I looked again through Amazon and found this little gem. This is THE WINNER, ladies. I don't know about the people that are using it for makeup (what?!) but it certainly weeks on keeping your skin dry in your underwear. At first I was putting on quite a bit but then realized you really only need maybe a dime size and spread it all over in the morning after your shower and on your very dry, fresh lady area and bam! Getting all healed up and no longer itching. Bought another tube for my travel bag. Won't be without this again!

Beats Chub Rub :)

This stuff is AMAZING! I bought it to use on vacation in Florida, knowing I would be wearing shorts and a bathing suit. I have sensitive skin and easily get that "chub rub" but this stuff made by legs glide against each other like velvet and it lasted for several hours and I didn't break out in uncomfortable red bumps on my inner thighs like I normally do after shaving and wearing shorts. I would HIGHLY recommend this gel!!

No more itching!

I have suffered from genital itching for most of my life and it has only gotten worse as I have gotten older. No doctor has ever been able to determine a cause and their only way of treating it has been cortisone based ointments which should not be used long term. I decided to try diaper rash ointment and while I was at the store buying that, I saw this on the shelf and grabbed it thinking it was an anti-itch cream. When I read the box I realized it wasn't so I tossed it in the drawer. Several months later I ran across it and decided to give it a try since the diaper rash ointment hadn't worked. Oh my goodness, relief!! For the first time ever, I have relief from the horrible itching! A little goes a very long way, I apply one layer at night when I go to bed, that is usually it. Once in a great while I will apply a layer during the day but that is very rare. It is wonderful being able to sleep at night and go all day without the discomfort I used to have. I will never be without this product again!

GIRL WITH CHUB RUB, LOOK NO FURTHER. THOSE CUTE SHORTS? WEAR EM. THAT CUTE DRESS. PUT THAT ISH ON. Wore this with my bikini in Florida for three days, only reapplies 1-2 times a day and had minimal chaffing (mostly due to sand, which can’t be helped sadly). But it wasn’t bad, nor did it cause me any real pain like chaffing normally does. I plan on getting this when I go to California in June to get the same use! Love love love! ***Ps- I have suuuuuper sensitive skin and had no breakouts or suspect rashes using this***

Perfect for Hot Texas Days

This lightweight gel is clear and the ultra fine powder doesn’t leave any residue on you clothes. Perfect for all those sweaty areas where you can’t wear antiperspirant. I’ve been using it for years and it really does prevent chafing. It also leaves you feeling cool and dry.

Best *Makeup Primer* Ever!

After reading the reviews on this product and seeing all of the ones that tout it as an amazing primer, I decided to throw caution to the wind and try it out. It really does make foundation (even the crappy powder I use on my textured skin) look flawless and smooth for hours. The longer you wear it, the more flawless your makeup looks, and it holds like Hercules. I put my makeup on at 10 am yesterday, wore it for all of my errands, through taking care of my kids, and even through an accidental nap, and my foundation still looked wonderful at midnight. The only thing I will say is that it does not hold up terribly well to long periods of sweat + insanely high heat and humidity. Normal heat and humidity exposure, yes, but if you plan to spend a lot of time outside when it is 92° and the humidity is 70% or more, your face will literally melt off.
