Very nice oil for quality carbon steel knives. The proper use of this oil requires that one uses a lint-free fiber cloth with just a few drops. Carefully, put a light coat of oil on the blade and, then. wipe with a second clean cloth. What I call a "nano-layer" is all that is needed. Use this oil following each use, after it has been washed clean and dried. This will keep 100% of discoloration from your knives if you clean and oil the knife immediately after using. Letting a knife set around, wet and nasty, will guarantee that the knife will lose its finish and begin pitting.

It's a lot bigger than I thought when I was buying it. I kept thinking it was going to be a 2 inch tall travel size bottle. Nope it's a lot more than that it's a 4 inch bottle not including the cap. Which actually justified the cost to me. I bought this for my opinel carbon steel pocket knife. I also was happy with the fact this was food grade oil. The reviews are correct you only need a drop or so on the blade. The rust easer is also very handy. In fact, we are using this oil on all of the knives.

I live in a very humid climate and have 2 beautiful masakage carbon steel knives, not the ideal combination as they tend to rust even when dried thoroughly before being put away. To prevent this, I need to oil them. This camellia oil is perfect for the job. The bottle is squeezable but seems durable enough, and you can very easily dispense a single drop at a time, which is all you need per side of the blade. The oil is viscous enough to stay put on the blade and tiny enough to spread easily. I use my finger to (carefully) cover the entire surface and spine of the knife, and just leave it there since this oil edible and does not go rancid. The rust eraser is tiny, but it is a complementary gift and works well, so no complaints there at all, and besides you should only have to use it very rarely if you apply the oil properly.

I bought this when I discovered a rust spot on my nakiri. I was really upset, thinking I'd carelessly ruined my knife. The rust eraser took the spot right off and the oil has worked so far to prevent new ones. The blade looks good as new!

Buy this. It never gets sticky, or turn rancid. The included micro scrubber will not scratch your blade, as long as you run it with the grain. Money well spent, and even as a full time chef, this will last me for years. Also, as long as you don't allow your carbon steel to rust, you will maintain that nice bluish patina that seems to be so important to wannabe chefs.

This item works well and is easy to use. The oil is odorless and doesn't leave any residue as far as I have seen. The only thing I must say is your only supposed to put one drop of oil and each side of the blade and unless your like a chef this is going to take years to use up this bottle because it's a pretty good size bottle. So I think it would be better to sell a bottle half the size for half the price.

Awsome product, I just received the item today and the shipping was fast, no leaks or damage, the bottle was ten time bigger then the picture, can't beat it for the price..I haven't had to use the eraser so I can't give u feedback on that just yet but the eraser looks to be in fine shape, I even checked out the video by scanning it with my phone and even the video was very helpful on how to use both the oil and eraser, deff will purchase again if needed to.

Absolutely great. Probably the best oil you can use on your high carbon blades. This amount should last me a lifetime. I appreciate the nice bottle with drip applicator and cap -- it's all about the little details. I also tried the small rust eraser on an old Soviet pocket knife I have that was in pretty rough shape. I couldn't believe how well it worked!!

I used this oil on multiple types of blades, kitchen, hunting and pocket; it not only cleans and polishes, holding the polish too for extended duration but also has removed small rust particles and prevented their reoccurrence.

Food-grade quality oil. I use it for steel blades that will rust if not attended to. The kit comes with a gentle rust remover for any accumulation since last use. Bottle bigger than it appears, and a little goes an incredibly long way. Goes on smooth and preserves the blade.
