WE LOVE THIS PRODUCT...BUT...If you order this, you don't get this. You get Hunt's Seasoned Tomato Sauce for Meatloaf. I called Hunts to ask if there was a problem (like discontinuation) with the Dinner Starters for meatloaf because we can't find it anywhere. Adrian in Customer Service at Hunt's said the reason Amazon would have filled our order with the Hunt's seasoned tomato sauce for meatloaf was, they are the same product. I don't agree. We used to make a meatloaf recipe with one can of each, and it was perfect. When we couldn't find the Dinner Starters, we used two cans of the Seasoned tomato sauce for meatloaf, and it was good, but not AS GOOD. Adrian then did a side by side comparison of ingredients from the two different labels and there was paprika in one not mentioned in the other, but maybe always there and just mentioned now for allergy patients. The only other difference was some gum ingredient. I think this is just a thickening agent. Just guessing. They don't taste the same. She is sending a report to their people at Hunt's who deal with these issues. We are not pleased that the Dinner Starters are apparently no longer available. It must be cheaper for them to produce just one kind, but that doesn't make our meatloaf taste good. Just McCormick's seasoning in the envelope might be just as good and cheaper for the consumer. I thought Amazon messed up the order. According to Hunt's, this is now the only tomato product for meatloaf under the Hunt's name. It just is not the same. Another case of ruining something by "improving" it. So don't blame Amazon, blame Hunts.

Makes my husband’s favorite meatloaf.

I have been using this meatloaf sauce for a long time, close to 20 years. Recently all three grocery stores in our town stopped carrying it. If you like meatloaf, and you follow the recipe on the can, you can always have a terrific meatloaf for dinner in less than an hour and a half. I was relieved to see this product available on Amazon, and promptly bought a case. I don’t know if Hunts stopped making it, or if people around here don’t like meatloaf, but it was impossible to find in area grocery stores. Again, just follow the recipe on the can for foolproof, delicious meatloaf.

Awesome meatloaf flavor, every time!

I was a little thrown off by the lack of heating instructions at first (an hour at 350, if you are interested) but the ingredient list was there. I add a bit of garlic and some chopped onion to it, and some brown sugar to the reserve sauce for the top. Even without those, it still makes tasty meatloaf that my whole family likes! I've had trouble finding this item on the shelves so getting this delivered was awesome, and the price was reasonable.

I accidentally found a can of this at Kroger, but when I went back several times, there were none on the shelf. I checked Amazon, where they had it. I ordered a case! I have always been challenged with making a good meatloaf, but NOT anymore!

Great starter

Great starter. The meatloaf is moist with a great flavor. I add a half cup of minced onions which add, I believe more flavor.

I love this stuff and so does my family. My mom used this as long back as I can remember but it got to where I couldn't find it in the stores so I ordered it like this so happy that I did now I can make meatloaf for my family.
