Great for my tiny apartment
I wasn't sure how I'd feel about this combo device, but I love it! It saves space in my tiny apartment, and is the perfect size to heat up small portions. I do with the tray was SLIGHLTY bigger, as it's hard to squish a personal pizza in there, but I make it work! I use both the oven and the toaster all the time. The ONLY issue I've had, is once I thought I turned the oven off but I guess I didn't press the button hard enough. The tray was still inside and ended up discoloring due to the excess heat and the residue from the food I just cooked. I still use it and it works perfectly fine, it's just not shiny and new looking anymore.

Welcome to my kitchen
This is my new favorite kitchen appliance. I’m not much of a cook, and the oven in my apartment is a million years old, so this has filled a void that I needed in particular. I put tin foil on the tray and then toss in the recycle bin, which keeps it easy to clean. Only takes about 5 minutes to preheat. It’s a little small if you’re looking to reheat pizza, for example, but it works fine for me cooking for one.

Best of both worlds
My wife and I have always disagreed on what kind of toaster to get. I prefer the dual purposed toaster oven and she just wants to make toast. She finds that toaster ovens do toast unevenly and take too long. I also think it takes a long time to make toast in a toaster oven, but I do like being able to heat up next day pizza. We seem to have found a very useful compromise with this toast oven. It makes toast like the old toasters (quickly) and I can heat up pizza. I will say the oven portion is very small. It won't fit a regular sized cut piece of pizza. I have to cut the slice in half and flip one half to make it fit. The oven heats up very quickly as well, without burning the pizza. I love the stylishness of the appliance and it fits very well in our small kitchen. It seems easy to clean especially since I wrap the metal plate in tin foil. I just have to wipe off the toast crumbs off the tin foil. There is one thing that is pretty obnoxious ...it does 3 very loud beeps when the toast is done. My neighbors know when our toast is done :))) Basically this unit is great if you mainly need a toaster but like to heat up small leftovers (the oven portion is small) too.

LOVE LOVE LOVE IT~
The fact that it is relatively small (great for my small countertops) and doubles as a real toaster is such a plus! I use it often to reheat things for dinner or snacks - much better than heating the oven. The only negative (but this happens with all toasters) is sometimes the bread is "limp", and when the toaster pops back up, it gets stuck. The nice thing is you can open the door and get it out easily!! I like this so much, I bought another one for my son's house.

To my delight the kids immediately started using the Toastation for chicken
Bought this so the kids would not heat up the house in the summer to bake frozen chicken strips that my wife buys in large bags at Costco. She is also very particular about counter space in the kitchen so I needed something that would not take any room. By replacing my Oster toaster the Toastation I was able to add a toaster oven to the kitchen without taking any more room. My wife likes this an immediately recycled the Oster so there is no going back! To my delight the kids immediately started using the Toastation for chicken, and so did I for Hot Pockets. My wife also uses it to make regular toast. It's a hit! we've had it over a month and I love it.

Perfect toaster/toaster oven combo! Doesn't take up a lot of counter space!
Really like this toaster oven! The double wide toast slot will easily hold a long slice of bread. Used in an RV, but doesn't take up a lot of counter space. Really like the (less expensive) red color! Price, at around $32, was more than reasonable! (How do they make it that inexpensive?). When I was a kid you had a choice of a toaster or a toaster oven, but not both. This is a great combo of both! I honestly can't think of any improvements to make this toaster oven better; maybe teflon coating on the oven pan! --

My Favorite Toaster Oven
My mom has had one of these for years and when her first one was on its last leg she replaced it with a new one. I just bought one a couple months ago and use it often! I've toasted bread, muffins, bagels, leftover pancakes and I've baked bacon-wrapped, cheese-stuffed jalapenos that come out great. I've re-heated pizza in it but it only holds 2-3 depending on size and you have to squeeze them together. In some ways I love that it is a smaller, sleeker appliance, but when I'm using it, I wish there was a little more bake space. It is not as deep as other toaster ovens I've used, but having the toaster and oven in one appliance far outweighs the size for me!

Great for a compact dual purpose toaster / toaster oven
Replacing an older version of this same toastation toaster oven. I kept having trouble with the feet on the bottom of the old one. They have made some great improvements to the new model. You can open the bottom to empty the crumbs, no more fighting with gettin a crumb tray in and out. The feet on the bottom are made better and connected so they won’t fall off. It is sturdy and well made without being huge or heavy. I like that I can use it as a classic toaster or as a toaster oven. Does a good job toasting the bread / bagels or heating things in the toaster oven. And when I’m done with it I can put it away in the cabinet.

Very good compact toaster and oven combination
So far, so good. Compact. Does what it should do. The outside gets pretty hot, so we move it forward so it is not under the cabinets above. The toaster (slide the lever to close or open slot cover to 'toast') toasts as it should, but for even toasting, remove the inside tray. There is a crumb tray that can be opened on the bottom of the toaster over to clean it. I would be sure to UNPLUG it to clean. The toaster tweets an alert and pops up when toasted to whatever # is chosen. The oven is set with a knob from "keep warm" to 250 degrees to 450 degrees. My husband likes toaster toast. I like mine buttered & toasted on one side, so I butter my bread, put it on the tray and turn the oven to 450...then turn the dial back to lowest setting and punch the off/ on button. I've used it also to heat focacia with added bruschetta topping..3 1/2 minutes at 450, about the same for buttered bread toast. Turn on oven with the on / off toggle. A light glows when oven is on. There is no timer or automatic off feature to the oven when the door is open. I use a small digital timer (bought at Southern Season) that hangs around my neck so that I don't forget and burn something. Any good timer you can hear would work and I think it is a good safety tool to use when using the oven. There are 2 long elements in the bottom and 2 more at the top...1 on each side of the toaster slot.

Great little toaster oven
Hamilton Beach apparently listens to customer feedback. This new version has a taller oven compartment. They say you can now bake a potato in it (although I haven't tried that yet). And the sliding toaster slot cover seals better; the top of the oven seems evenly warm, with no extra heat escaping from the slot. I also haven't had any issues with toast falling into the oven cavity or jamming. The sides of the toaster section hold the bread slices firmly in place. Overall We are very pleased with the 22720 Toastation, it does what it's supposed to do.
