I was searching for some play food for my toddler's new kitchen set. I am so glad I came across this brand. Everything looks realistic and has such a precise detail to it. I especially love that majority of the material is a soft plastic, but still safe to chew on. My toddler is still teething and she sometimes bites the food forgetting it's not real. I was worried at first but I'm glad that everything has held up to her teething. I highly reccomend this for any child. It takes healthy eating and imagination to a whole new level!

I love these sets of New Sprouts Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner baskets. I couldn't wait to buy my daughter her very own kitchen since I loved mine so much when I was her age. I shopped around everywhere and read several Amazon reviews when it came to buying the right food to stock her fridge with. I finally settled on the Learning Resources New Sprouts sets. I'm so happy I did and the product exceeded my expectations. Why I Like It: -Very durable and constructed from a foam/rubber like material (has survived being stepped on and put in a toddler's mouth) - Adorably realistic and perfect for little hands (Food is not to scale, but that was something I was looking for after reading reviews on other foods too big for smaller pots and pans) -Created by a company that encourages creative development. (My best friend works at a school supply store and was very complimentary of the Learning Resources products.) -Teaches good food choices with more options like yogurt and veggies over chips and soda. -My child loves it! (She prefers these to her Melissa & Doug food set because its softer and more realistic) -Comes with shopping baskets that are great for pretend play and clean up! Dislikes: -The products are expensive compared with other plastic food alternatives. (for me the costs was worth it) Learning Resources New Sprouts Breakfast Basket (16 Pieces)

Like so many others, I spent excessive hours researching play food to go with the kitchen I purchased for my 20 month old daughter that of course only came stocked with junk food. I was so tired of looking through play food sets that only had cookies, doughnuts, mcdonalds labels or were so low-quality I was afraid to give it to my daughter in fear she would gnaw through it in 30 seconds. I purchased this set as well as the healthy breakfast basket and the munch it set and am very pleased with all three. I've ended up with approximately 50 pieces between the three sets for about $50. Yes you can purchase 105 pieces for $12, but remember you get what you pay for and this is no different. This food is thick, rubbery, sized and colored properly. The salad was impressive :). I want my daughter to play with the same kind of food we eat in real life, healthy. I would recommend this product, would buy it again and will purchase additional products from this company in the future.

This is one toy that is EXACTLY as pictured! No tweaked lighting, photoshop, or any other tricks. What you see is what you get. (It happens more than you'd think) The basket is so handy! The food fits very well. It's rubber, but not like a dog toy. Thicker than that, and higher quality. Even the handle grips on the basket are rubber, which they didn't have to do, but did. And I think that also speaks for the quality of the set. The bowl really looks and feels like the plastic bowls in my kitchen, only smaller! As always, I love that it is mostly whole foods and not just junk like a lot of sets! I was happy to catch this for like $18 or so, marked down from the regular price of $25 that the breakfast Learning Resources New Sprouts Breakfast Basket and lunch Learning Resources New Sprouts Lunch Basket were still going for! I also grabbed the Munch It set Learning Resources New Sprouts Munch it My Very Own Play Food, but I had some issues with that set, which I mentioned in that review. (A pic of THIS set is included in the tail end of the video on said review, if you'd like to see it.) I'd buy it again! And I will keep watching the Breakfast and Lunch sets for price dips!

I love all the play food by this brand. The pieces feel solid and high quality, unlike those cheap plastic play food pieces that you can literally crush in your hand. I also like them better than the wooden food by Melissa & Doug because wooden pieces can easily become airborne weapons! The pieces from this brand are the ones that have held up. My 3 year old loves breakfast food so this set has kept her super entertained. The basket is a nice addition too for having "picnics" around the house. Definitely recommend this!

Learning Resources has some of the best play food around! We have bought a few sets from them and are happy with them all. The food is realistic and reasonably true to size (it drives me nuts when you see a toy pizza slice that is the size of a ping pong ball). I like that most of it is a durable but flexible plastic, too, since it will likely get tossed about by little hands. Learning Resources also gets major kudos for provided such a well-balanced dinner basket -- lots of veggies. We were given this set as a gift and I have since purchased it for two other children. If you can only buy one set from this company, I'd recommend this one in a heartbeat!

This food is the best! I've done a lot of research on play food and I'm so happy we went with this brand. It's durable crush resistant, looks realist and my little guy loves it. His pots and pans came with a few pieces of food, you can tell the difference just by looking at the picture I've posted. I will absolutely be ordering all of the other baskets.

These learning resources dinner foods are very realistic. My kids love to play pretend cooking with these otems, they love that they can act like they are cooking real dinner foods like the steak and baked potato or the grilled chicken with a realistic looking salad. My teething baby likes to chew on these foods to sooth his gums and even makes a num num sound when he pretends to eat these foods & pretends to feed them to other people. I highly recommend this product from Learning Resources. I have not & will not be provided any compensation for this honest and unbiased review.

I have reserched play food for my son's new kitchen for WAY TOO MANY HOURS. I initially wanted M&D food, and then read how it chips terribly. I read many good reviews on Hape and Plan food, but I wanted one decent "starter" set for his kitchen, of real foods that he was familiar with that he could start making meals with. All of the sets for plan or hape are pretty themed...like a salad, pita, etc. I used to have the rubbery learning resources food when I was a kid and loved it. I went with the New Sprouts set over the other sets because I wanted it to be more toddler friendly in size. I had read the other playsets are "real life" sized. I LOVE this set. It is well made, and most pieces are pretty rubbery. A few feel really light, but are still very realistic and well made. My kids have been chewing on them, throwing them, and playing with them since we got it this week. So far, so good. I love the variety in this set. Stuff they actually will eat! Veggies, meat, and my son can't get enough of the glass of milk. I will be purchasing the breakfast set, and either the lunch or munch it set for his birthday.
