I have a 2015 F 250 4x4 crew cab and tow a 39-foot 13500 pound toy hauler with a tongue weight of 3,500 pounds. The truck towed horrible at first due to being jerked around load swaying back and forth, but after I install the air bags with the onboard compressor it is night and day I no longer need a dually pickup truck because with the bags, my truck tows my toy hauler like it's barely there. Don't buy a wide painful dually, buy these friends.

First off let me just say the shipping was like Way faster than I thought. I ordered them on Saturday afternoon and got them on Monday. Installed on 2014 f-250 short bed. I saw a lot of fuss about how hard these were to install. I didn't have any trouble at all. It went rather well and only took about 2.5 hours. I didn't use any power tools other than my drill for the shader valves to go in the license plate holes. The directions weren't really even needed to much, it is a pretty simple install. The exploded diagram was the most help and showed what parts you needed with what hardware. I backed up on some blocks and took out the spare tire so I didn't have to fight jacks while I was under the pickup. To avoid having to raise the frame to gain clearance I assembled what you are supposed to on the bench and linked a couple zip ties together and kept it flat while I got it in place. Once it was situated and lined up just cut the ties and all the bolts went in the right holes and that was that. Took longer to tighten all the bolts than to put it all together. I compared the Air Lift set to the Firestone set closely before purchasing these. I think both would work just fine but I like how this one sits on the joiner strike plate rather than a clunky 2 piece setup that you have to bolt together sitting on the axle. This one looks much cleaner and almost like a stock option. I would highly recommend these to anybody wanting a level ride when towing and a better ride. I put 35" tires on with a leveling kit and the front ended up about 3/4 of an inch too high. I put about 10-12 lbs in when empty and it sits nice. Test drove it empty and felt good too. I will play with the psi a bit, haven't had many miles on the install yet. So far, I couldn't be happier.

First off, I am not a professional mechanic/technician. I am 72 years old and would rate myself as an advanced automotive hobbyist with an above average retinue of tools including air impact wrenches and air ratchets. I might be able to hit the 3 hour install mark on the next install. But this one took 6-7 hours. A good portion of that was spent reading and re-reading the instructions. Not to say they are not well written, but this was an appliance with which I was unfamiliar. So I read the instructions numerous times to insure I got it right the first time. I also looked at several YouTube videos. For the record, the Air Lift video was the least helpful. Too brief/too quick paced. I had, what appears to be, a common, frustrating experience getting the nut on the driver's side upper bracket mounting bolt that goes through the original jounce bumper hole. The interference caused by the large wiring harness, the DEF tank bracket and the upper mounting bracket itself made it extremely difficult to reach the bolt and start the nut. It took me over 45 minutes! One reviewer characterized it as "impossible." Not quite, but close. I found the best jacking technique, for me, was to raise the entire vehicle substantially high and place jack stands under the trailer hitch frame. Remove the tires and the spare and then use a bottle jack under the differential to raise and lower the suspension, as necessary, during installation. I love the system, after installation. I have a 32ft travel trailer with about 1100 lbs of tongue weight. My 2015 F250 does not have the off-road package, so, even with the weight distribution bars, the tongue would still lower the rear of the truck beyond what I desired. This appliance fixes that. I'm happy. For the record, Firestone has the name, Air Lift has the game.

Installed this on a 2016 F250 with power stroke diesel. The frame bracket was quite a challenge to install on drivers side due to limited access. Also the truck had the factory fifth wheel hitch puck system installed and the main bolt (1/2") required to attach the upper frame brackets had to be shortened on both sides as the end hit the fifth wheel mounts before the nut was tight. Installion other then previously mentioned went pretty smooth. Basic tools required and lowering the spare tire provided better access. I used the truck jack under the hitch to raise the body to place the air bag assemblies so no special lift required. It does take quite awhile to install. I probably had 6 hours invested with a good bit of that spent on drivers side upper frame bracket. The air bags do an excellent job at keeping the truck level with the fifth wheel trailer and I didn't seem to notice any change that effected how smooth the truck rides unloaded with about 30# air which seems to allow the truck to relax on the factory suspension. The whole assembly uninflected does seem to leave the rear of the truck setting slightly higher then the front and 30# seemed to be just below the point of raising the body when additional air is added. Summary, the entire system was a bit of a challenge to install but is doable with average mechanical experience and basic hand tools. You will likely need a hack saw or equivalent to cut two 1/2" diameter bolts if you have a fifth wheel hitch installed. Very satisfied with the air bags.

Installed on a 2011 Ford F-250 super duty. Just got done installing these. I can't say it was a difficult install but wasn't easy. No fault to the product, but to the fact that I'm not a mechanic, I'm a carpenter. After watching all the videos and reading the installation instructions I figured I could tackle this. You only need some basic tools, ratchets, wrenches, torque wrench, floor jack and jack stands which I didn't have. Thought I could tackle this with out the floor jack and just use a bottle jack and I did , but it was a battle. Some points I would like to point out, drop the spare tire and get out of your way. The jounces I had trouble with the bolts and eventually got the sawzall out and just cut them off. Followed the instructions word for word. After installing the top brakets and going to install the bellows, I had trouble getting the bellows in place, the only reason is because of my lack of floor jack. So what I did was took a bottle jack and raised the frame about 4", took off the top brakets, put the bellows in place and reinstalled the top brakets. From then on it was smooth sailing. I can't say enough to read the instructions before you start and to follow them. The videos helped also. Everything looks exactly as the photos show. The total project took me about 7 hours, once again I feel for my lack of mechanical abilities and trying to make the bottle jack work and my multiple trips from in and out from under the truck. If someone has a lift, I feel this would go in 3 hours as they say. The only reason I didn't give 5 star is because I haven't pulled trailer yet. I will see if I can add to this review in a couple weeks after trying them out with a load. I would like to say again that my problems with the install were no fault to the air lift product. Good luck and hope these pointers help. I wanted to check back in. It's been a few weeks since I installed these, I've made a couple trips with them and what a improvement! Anybody whole pulls or hauls should not go with out these. Leveled the truck right out. The sway I used to get with my 36' trailer is practically gone. Thumbs up to this product!

Five stars due to quality but be prepared for some difficult installation tasks. The driver side doesn't have much room to maneuver the airbag to get it into position. Best to remove the rear wheel - I did not and paid the price. The driver side has a wiring harness on top of the mounting rail that limits the room within the top mount bracket. The bolt that comes up through the rail is difficult to get to and requires a wrench (socket wouldn't fit) and little moves to tighten the bolt. Good news is the passenger side is a lot easier due to more room to work. Best of luck. I purchased the Wireless One compressor as well and really appreciate having it when I release the trailer and can reduce the pressure on the fly.

Everything needed was included in the kit and fit perfectly. I purchased to reduce sag when towing my travel trailer. I haven't towed the trailer yet but the empty ride quality greatly improved. I would recommend 2 people to install unless you have a vehicle lift handy. My truck has the factory ford 5th wheel/gooseneck combo. The outside frame brackets were in the way so I had to remove them for install but even with that it wasn't a hard installation. The hardest part is figuring out how to piece together the bag setups. Make sure you follow the directions to a T, or you will have to start over.

I installed this kit on my 2011 F250 with an Air Lift on board compressor. I went with Air Lift over Firestone because I could get the air bags and compressor for the price of Firestone's air bags. All the reviews I found said that the product quality was comparable between the two brands, but that the Air Lifts are harder to install. I've never installed a Firestone kit, but the Air Lift install was not bad. I read the directions, and watched a couple YouTube videos before I started, and the whole process, including compressor, took me about 5 hours by myself. That time could be reduced by having a second pair of hands. The whole system works perfectly. I use these to load level when I haul my camper which weighs about 3000-3500 lbs fully loaded. I would recommend this system to anyone who hauls a camper!

Installed on my 2014 f250 to haul my travel trailer, the install is staright forward but will require a six pack of bud light since it took me about 4 hours, if i had the perfect tools it could be done in about 3 maybe, once these were installed they are easy to fill and wont leak and my truck won't sag at all pulling an 8000 lb trailer with about 30 psi in the bags, it makes towing easier and feels way safer

Works great! It took a little over 4 hours to install plus stitches, but that also included the remote compressor and controller too. I did the install over a period of 4 days starting with the controller and compressor. I found a great protected place for it above the spare tire in that little compartment. As long as the tire is under the truck it should stay nice a dry. BEWARE dont think you will get away with leaving the tire heat shield on and also install the passenger side bag you will certainly regret it. Do yourself a favor and start by taking that stupid thing off before you slice yourself wide open and have to get stitches! (yes spoken from experience). I knew I was going to have to take it off I just waited to long thinking I might be ok. Once I slit myself open it came down. After all the electronics went on the bags were easy. Also try to watch a video on youtube to help you out.
