A must for quilting, piecing

Good for drawing on paper, nice opacity

I am an artist and I make drawings on very dark paper, these are nice and opaque, and sturdy, too.

Great Aid in Marking Patterns on Glass Bottles

I don't use these for sewing, but for marking patterns on glass bottles. Works great.

Good pencil leads but be prepared to SCRUB off after quilting.

These pencil leads worked really great for a beginner quilter that can't quilt a straight line! I did have to take dawn and a toothbrush to get all hints of pink off of the fabric. I will probably look for something else to mark quilts with but this will do the job if you have time to scrub off the lines before washing quilt.

Excellent marking lead

Purchased because Fons & Porter was unavailable. I must say I am extremely surprised and more than satisfied with this marking lead for marking seams on my quilt pieces. It is slightly harder than Fons & Porter resulting in a finer line which I find preferable. The lead fits the Fons & Porter mechanical pencil perfectly. I will definitely purchase again and will indeed recommend to my fellow quilters. I also purchased the pink, blue, and green leads but have neither used nor written a review for those colors. I can't imagine they would not measure up to the quality of the white lead.

I love my Sewline ceramic lead pencil refills

I have only tried the white. It marks my dark quilts beautifully and is easy to remove. The refills are great because i do not have to buy a new marking pencil each time i run out of "lead".

Great for Drawing on Dark Wood

Perfect for drawing on dark wood species for carving. Lead is not so soft that it splinters constantly nor so hard that the marks don't show up. It is really made for fabrics but works well for my purposes. Will buy again.
