Not for people who wear glasses for astigmatism! Otherwise, excellent
An excellent scope, but not for viewers with glasses for astigmatism. This is a nice scope, easy to use and the provided tripod is quite sufficient for the magnification. At full magnification, looking 300 yards into my back yard, the image had uniform flat focus and no discernible chromatic aberration (what all the cheap scopes have). However, if you wear glasses for astigmatism, and you must use your glasses with telescopes and binoculars (I do), this is NOT for you. There is very little eye relief, so if you wear glasses, your field of view is about 1/3 that of without glasses. This makes it useless to me. I was very sad to return it. If you are just near or farsighted (spherical correction only), then you can still use this without your glasses. Highly recommend at the $50 price I paid.

Read me !
I'm not an expert when it come to optics. I can say that the reviews in this seem to be correct . I've only used it at 25 yards so far. It is a nice clear picture and magnified the little 22 caliber holes like I was holding the Target up to my face. Like other reviewers wrote , I'm sure this scope will do well with farther distances . This was a nice affordable way of getting rid of the cheapy binoculars I was using. I couldn't believe the prices on some of the high end models. Really now? If your looking to see little holes in paper this will do it clearly for you. In my opinion ,It will also do well as a nature watching scope. It may not do well if your trying to see the American flag on the moon. The only minor issue I found was that twist handle that locks the scope into position, has to be snugged down good or the scope will move out of position. The scope itself seems to be good quality. The tri pod does its job but doesn't seem to match the quality if the scope that it holds. Bottom line is that it appears to be a good scope at a great price. It also came with a handy carry bag that has a little devider to keep the tri pod and scope from rubbing together. This was the un expected icing on the cake for me. Yup! Ya can't beat that with a stick. The surprise bag kept me from taking off a star for the minor tri pod issue. I say buy it !

I really, really like this scope.
I can believe I got this for $50. I use it on a nice full-length tripod but the optics are great. It is bright, has great eye relief but most of all it is SHARP throughout the entire 12-36 focal range. I've had more ($150) expensive 20-60X scopes that rapidly lost quality after 20X. The zoom and the focus rings are smooth and don't turn too easily. It is small and perfect for birding. Yay!!!!!!

bottom line: great value.
Wow. This scope is good enough to see Jupiter and 4 moons (barely can see the rings, but hey!) and easily could see about a mile or 2 away from my home to a nearby mountain peak, clear as day on max magnification (36x) I always wondered what made up part of the silhouette of the mountain, thought it was rock formations but turned out to be some dead lookin trees! for around 50 bucks I think i made the best purchase possible. i'll be taking this scope to the range soon to see how well it works as a spotting scope for sighting in my rifle at 100 yards. i will update this review after that.

Well worth the price paid
I don't have a lot of experience using a spotting scope so I was delighted when I took this to the range to test it out. It was super easy to set up and to focus and I could see the target quite easily and with good detail and high definition. After reading the other reviews I was a little leery that it might not be clear or might be hard to focus and I assure you that was not the case. I could clearly see and it was very helpful in sighting in the pistols we took with us to the range. Thank you for an excellent product at a reasonable price.

Great scope for the price!
Full kit! Includes the scope, tripod, and a carry case that includes a divider for the scope and tripod. Note: had to flip the case divider over (attached with Velcro) to use the elastic straps for the tripod. I wanted a cost effective spotting scope at a good price, and this one delivers. Haven’t used it in anything other than dry sunny weather so far, so not data on moisture/fogging yet.

Great for its price range
The price is right. Good little scope. I use it for terrestrial use (birds, squirrels, etc) and the views are mostly good. The focus does get a bit soft after 25x zoom, but that's to be expected at this price. The tripod is actually quite sturdy (and metal)...not a cheap plastic thing. If I want to mention any negatives, it would be: the screw to hold the rotation seems likes it wants to break into the scope. And the focus "knob" is on the body...not the eye piece (maybe I'm too used to telescopes, where the focus is near the eyepiece). Great for its price range

Great budget spotting scope with limitations I'm mainly using this ...
Great budget spotting scope with limitations I'm mainly using this scope for target practice with a large-caliber rifle (.577) at ranges of 50 and 100 yards. Pros: Small size, light weight, well-made, handy carrying case, great optics for the low price. Also does not fog in a variety of weather conditions, which is a nice feature, especially at this price point. The eye relief is more than adequate, even with safety glasses on. Cons: At maximum zoom, this scope cannot seem to focus. This is quickly remedied by dialing back the zoom a bit, but it is still annoying. At ranges of 100 yards or more, the low zoom on this model makes spotting even larger holes from a rifle difficult at times. Overall: Very satisfied with my purchase. As long as you don't go into it expecting the performance of a top-of-the-line spotting scope then you will not be disappointed.

Great for amature star gazing, etc. but also for day-time views of woods, etc.
I was torn between this and a similarly priced compact telescope that presented itself as a way to do astronomy. I went with this due to being reviewed as good for star gazing, but also (from how it presented itself) being for daylight viewing of wildlife, etc. I've been very happy with it. Fun to have it along and it's easy to take along. Tripod is good, sturdy, etc. FYI: I'm looking at small, portable camp tables to go with it, as it has to rest on something (the tripod's legs are about 10-12" or so). I'll use the table for a lot of other things, so I don't mind buying that additional item to make this more useful. That's something to keep in mind though as far as what it takes to make this useful.

Low cost but totally functional, lightweight
I bought this through Amazon Warehouse. As far as I could tell, the item was condition match the description. There were some scuffs to the body but no issues that would affect the optics. I bought this mainly for archery. I shoot up to 60 meters at the moment. For that range, this scope is perfect. The optics are clear enough for that distance and very bright. I'm able to see arrows easily. The design worked great for my purposes. Its easy to change the angle of the eyepiece and focusing. It mounted easily to my photography tripod and is lightweight. Easy to take to the range and back. I can store the scope in its bag and in my backpack. It adds a little weight but barely noticeable. As a first time scope user, I'm glad I went this route because it met all my needs without being a significant purchase. If there are versions on Amazon Warehouse., its definitely worth the purchase.
