I like to listen to music when getting ready for work and this player fits perfect on my bathroom counter. Looks great, sounds great and a great price. Very very happy with it.

This is a real review by an actual paying customer not a seller-discounted product for a good review. I am a Machinist/Engineer for 40 years and I own 3 Bose Wave radios and a Bose Home Theater Surround sound system so I know, pay for and demand high quality true-to-life sound. I work in a dirty, noisy, machinery-filled environment and needed a small, lightweight unit to play CD's with acceptable sound. This one is perfect. It plays excellent quality Jensen speaker sound without the amplified, artificially boosted "super bass" that everyone seems to want. I have very eclectic music taste from Smooth Jazz to real Jazz to Blues and Classical music. I attended Symphony performances for years so I know what Real live music sounds like not the massive, artificially amplified pounding sound at an indoor or outdoor concert. Bose produces actual real lifelike sound and surprisingly, for it's price this does pretty dam good. It's small and light and fits easily into my rollaway toolbox compartment. And if it gets ruined at work I've spent less than $50 and would just get another one. My Bose Wave radios cost $500 each and I won't even mention the cost of the Home Theater system! Not even close to a Bose very good sound for this price.

I could not be more pleased. A previous reviewer has written a comparison to the BOSE portable CD player/radio, with which I nearly agree, except the Jensen's lower register does not match up. But for the difference of a few hundred dollars, everything else sonically is there and, in my ascending years with a thousand or so recordings and countless live performances, I pretty much know all the classical repertoire and so hear the base lines so well ingrained in my noggin better than any machine can play them. So, I can hear the really big sounds in our parlor, and here in my library, this player is perfect. And at this price it's a steal.

I wanted a simple cd player for my daughters' room so I could play audio books for them to listen to while going to sleep. This works perfectly for that. In addition, it's easily moved from room to room, and it has radio. This is a perfect, no-frills cd-player/radio.

I love this radio. I bought this because I cannot seem to pick up any signal with my tuner via the tv. So in order to listen to my radio stations, I had to do something different, so I bought this. It is a nice color and super light. It is easy to pick up the signal with the antenna up in the air. I like the fact that the knobs are easy to use and in a great location. I have not used it for a CD and probably will never use that feature. I would highly recommend this stereo player. Plus it is really easy to move from room to room.

I wanted a light-weight portable player to listen to audio book CDs. This one is exactly what I wanted & I'm very happy with my choice.

Gorgeous radio! Sturdy, and the audio quality is great. Nice sized speakers that actually produce bass.

I'm so glad I bought this CD player, AM/FM Radio. It has wonderful sound and does exactly what I need it to do and the price was right. It's small and easy to work.

I was impressed by the sound quality given its size and weight. It's small, lightweight, easy to carry around and sounds great!

The Jensen CD-490 Sport Stereo CD Player supports "old school" CD's for me to listen to -- having so many of them which I miss. Overall, the player is working very well and not too expensive either.
