14 year old golden retriever still active

My golden retriever is still in great shape after 14 years because of this dog food; 1 cup twice a day. He looks and acts half his age. My next dog will eat nothing but Iams... well, maybe the occasional banana or carrot too

When I rescued our black lab mix as a 9 week old puppy, she was the runt of the litter. Very tiny, I don't think she weighed 6 lbs. We had a Fox Terrier rescue at the time and he was eating Iams Mini-. Since she was so small, we went to the pet store and got her some Iams Puppy. She devoured an entire bowl. Her little tummy looked like she had swallowed a child's football as she snuggled in to my jacket and promptly fell asleep. She stayed on the Iams Puppy until she was a year old and we then switched her to the Iams Mini Chunks. Fast forward 13 years and she's still eating the same Iams Mini Chunks and still going strong. She not over or under weight and her blood work from her vet shows her to be one healthy girl. I whole heartedly endorse Iams Mini Chunks and the IAMS brand overall. Each of our 6 dogs started with Iams Puppy and graduated to Iams Mini Chunks. We never switched any of them to the Adult versions or Low Fat Versions and all 6 dogs lived well into their teens. I guess that's proof enough that Iams is a great dog food!

If you have an older dog; this is the food to get!!

Started my dog on this dog food since she is an older lady now and when I noticed she was having some problems with energy and getting up the porch steps. She has been on it for about 2 months and oh boy can I see a change. I never thought that dog food would make such a drastic difference but she is like a new dog. I swear that food made my dog about 5 years or more younger. She still lays around and sleeps a lot but when she is awake she has less problems going up and down the stairs; heck she even seems to use them as her personal stair master and goes up and down several times a day just for exercise. She is also more sociable and interacts more with all of us. I need to start taking her for walks again to see if she also has more energy while making it around the block.. LOL

my little dog isn't scratching all the time

My little Rat Terrier likes it. The dog had developed a bad rash on his back, he scratched and scratched until the rash was red and he had lost a good deal of fur. My son told me that it was probably the cheap dog food, Alpo. Well, the rash is clearing up and the fur is growing back. More importantly my little dog isn't scratching all the time. IAMS costs a bit more but it is worth it. January 2, 2018 Up-Date. The dogs rash is completely healed and his fur is nearly filled in. No scratching at all.

Hope you love this product as much as I do

This is the first time I switched my dog's food and my dog didn't get sick. She loves this food as is although I sometimes add white or brown rice to it. My dog just loves rice so I give her a little 2 or 3 times a week mixed with this product. I've also fed her around other dogs whom I seen completely walk away from the food their owner gave them to eat the IAMS brand. No dogs got sick when they ate this food. It's the only thing I will feed her now. It has always came on time and packaged well in a big box that my 3 year old turns into a car, plane, and doll house. Hope you love this product as much as I do. SN: I have a pitbull and I've noticed she doesn't have gas as much anymore nor does her farts smell as bad as they used to.

Great Dog Food

I've been feeding my dog Iams for several years. He is 8 years old and has experienced no health issues at all. The price point is decent in comparison to other similar items. I am a fan of the "mini chunks" even though my dog is well over 50lbs and has no problem swallowing a chicken bone whole if he wanted to. There isn't much more to say about this product without extensive knowledge of dog food ingredients, but i went to their site and got a full description of them which i find acceptable since the first ingredient is chicken, followed by several others that I know to be healthy and safe. I have 3 dogs; a Jack Russel mix, a German Shepherd/Collie mix, and an Australian Shepherd. I've tried different foods with them as they were growing up, but as adults this is the one food they will all continuously eat. We average one of these big bags about every 2 weeks, the dogs are all healthy, energetic, playful, and have beautiful coats. I'm not in a position to pay $50+ per bag for Blue what ever, this stuff does the trick and even my vet said, buy what you can afford, but try to keep overall quality in mind, and said that there was absolutely nothing wrong with Iams.

Iams small bite dog food 30lb bag

Before I became an Amazon Prime member I purchase this exact dog food from local retailers. I usually paid approximately $15-18 for a 15 lb bag. I had previously tried other well known small bites dog food from other major manufacturers and was told to change my dogs food immediately. I have seen great improvement in my two dogs coats, breath,teeth, and appetites since I changed over to Iams. Now the bonus if you are a prime member you can purchase a 15lb bag from Amazon for around $13 or like I just did and bought a 30 lb bag for only $23.99. This is only one of the cases that make me continue my membership and urge others to take advantage of the many perks available for people who give Prime a try.

My mainstay dry dog food

It's Iams.. what can I say! It's good for my dogs.. both my Boston Terrier and my Norwegian Elk hound seem to like the little mini chunks just fine and they are a perfect size for my Boston .. she does not have to struggle to crunch them up. I feed my dogs a small amount of wet dog food also.. but always have a bowl of the dry dog food setting out. I have used the mini chunks for quite some time years ago for my Jack Russell... who had a small delicate mouth. On occasion I will switch to another brand of dry dog food just to let the dogs have a bit of a shakeup and taste something different.. but my mainstay is Iams mini chunks... Its hard to know what else to say.. so I will just say that I like all the Iams products.. and this particular kind is the fav in our household for the two dogs I have now.

Tastes great and keeps me healthy

I love this food! It so good that my master even lets me have it as a snack! He also says I can have it if I go get the ball. Only thing that I don't understand is that he keeps throwing the ball across the yard and then giving me more food! What an idiot....humans. Anyway, I have always eaten this food since I was I little pup and it keeps me regular, gives me a nice thick coat nice with a little bit of a shine. I highly recommend that canine friends out there beg that their masters get some!
