I'm currently using this to set on and off times for my old crock pot so it will come on at a certain time while I'm busy around the house (and our dinner will be ready at a certain time). So far it has worked great. It's easy to set by just clicking the buttons down to get the desired time frame. If you wanted to put this on a lamp and set various on off times you could do that simply by pushing down the buttons for whatever time you want. It's so simple and easy without aggravating electronics.

Definitely had to make a trip to youtube to figure out how to set up the darn thing, and I'm absolutely amazed that it doesn't include more detailed instructions in the package. Regardless, it works quite well and is keeping my plants happy. A bit bulky for an outlet, however.

Bit confusing at first

I was about to return this timer, my brain could figure this thing out. I should have order a no brainer timer but this was cheaper and had pretty good reviews. I kept trying to push in the timer after setting the dial to the current time but I wasn't pushing down the black tabs. Finally I came back to the order page and re-read the directions, reviews and questions till I figured out what I wasn't doing. Tested the timer for 15 minutes at 11 am and it turned off on time.

Usually Quiet; Loud SNAP Between Settings

Very quiet little ticking sound; I was worried about this originally, so sensitive people be reasurred! It's really quiet. Except, I should add, when turning on and off; then it makes an audible SNAP sound. However, this is an important part of my homemade humidifier, so we're living with it. Been reliable for a few months now. Satisfied for sure.

Decent timer.

Decent timer. Easy instructions. It is pleasantly a 3 prong plug and outlet. Working great so far. Setting the actual, real time is a plus or minus approximation at best, but good enough for holiday lights. There is a timer bypass so you can turn on stuff outside of set times.

As simple as it gets

Mechanical times come back on after the power is off. The timer may be off by an hour or two, but it still will run. So if the heater needs to keep the dog warm or the plants need light or the house needs to look occupied, it still will. Additionally, they don't tend to get weird like electronic timers. No 888 message and early failure.

So confused

I still can’t figure out how to use this. It maybe I ordered the wrong thing. But I manually have to still turn it off and on. I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong, if it is something I’m doing wrong.

Great safe buy

Works as described. I accidentally dropped one of them pretty hard when taking it out of the box and it still worked just fine after. Unaccustomed to using these for quite a long time. I didn't realize there was a slider button on the side to leave the lights on or to turn it onto the timer. That's what I get for using them before coffee, eh?

Works great

I use this time to control my dehumidifier during the winter when I'm not running my central A/C. It works perfectly to limit the run time of the unit which has a tendency to freeze up in the winter when there's not a lot of humidity. It was easy to figure out despite the lack of instructions.

Perfect

I use this with my mini heater so my bathroom is warm when I wake up during the cold winter mornings. Easy to use and has so far been reliable
