We ordered this after searching for the best waffle makers on youtube
We ordered this after searching for the best waffle makers on youtube! This is a sturdy, well made product and it turns out perfect waffles every time. The Norpro 1975 Grip-EZ Grab and Life Silicone Tong is a must to pull the waffles out. We are using the waffle recipe in the All-Clad booklet, minus most of the sugar, and the waffles are so, so good. It's a little more work because you have to whip the egg whites. If you don't have time for that, you can just use Pioneer Baking Mix to create a decent facsimile!

Best Waffle Maker ever
If you are serious about waffles like I am, spend the bucks & get this one. It is the best waffle maker I have ever had. The waffles are thick with deep indentations and evenly cooked. As soon as my kids saw it, they started arguing about who should get it in my will.

Perfect waffles every time
We've had one of these for years. The waffles come out perfect, crispy outside, soft and fluffy inside, delicious! The key to perfection is using a spray-on oil. We use organic coconut oil. Without the spray, the waffles stick to the waffle-maker. Our waffles are so popular with the family that we got another 2-waffle-maker from Amazon. Some users say the 4-waffle unit heats unevenly, so we decided it would be better to have two of the 2-waffle units. This has worked out just great.

Great belgian waffle maker
I had done a lot of research on waffle irons and found this to be pretty universally loved by everyone that had bought it. I entertained the idea of cheaper waffle makers, because quite a few had pretty decent reviews, but went with this because it seemed really durable (many people left follow up reviews) and made high quality waffles. I have definitely found the latter to be true. I don't use any nonstick spray and have only had to wipe the iron down with a towel when I'm done cooking. All excess batter goes out the back. I have made a wide variety of waffles and all have turned out great regardless of whether there is fruit in them, or they're made with whole wheat flour--all have been perfect. The handle stays nice and cool while you're cooking, but do beware that the rest of the waffle iron gets very hot--so watch out for little kids. I am ridiculously happy I bought this waffle maker and would recommend it to anyone.

... it for a few months now and have done sweet and savory waffles
Have had it for a few months now and have done sweet and savory waffles, all have have been delicious and perfectly cooked.I was surprised how hot this iron cooks I have yet to take it off the #1 setting. The finish lives up to All Clad quality. I have graters that require more effort to clean.

BEST WAFFLE IRON - EVER!
I have tried so many different waffle irons. They seem to work fine for a little while and then everything starts sticking to them. I have made more waffles with this iron than I have over the rest of my life! The surface is durable, cleans easily. It takes a little while to heat up (I use a 4 setting and let the waffle cook a little bit longer) but the waffles are consistently wonderful and come out easily. I use the Tovolo Waffle Tong (also very pleased with this) to remove the waffles. I like that the lid latches closed for storing on its side (takes up less room in my crowded pantry). It does come with a drip catcher that you slide onto the back for when you overfill. It works pretty good if I make sure it's pushed all the way in...but I just try to perfect my pour and not overfill. Perhaps my brand of waffle mix has made a difference - I have been using Krusteaz waffle mix - the come out of waffle iron like a charm and they are the best tasting waffles I've ever had. I LIGHTLY OIL MY IRON WITH VEGETABLE OIL (NOT SPRAY OR SOLID) BEFORE EACH USE AND I WIPE CLEAN WITH DAMP PAPER TOWELS TO MAKE SURE I GET ALL RESIDUE OFF AFTER EACH USE.

this is what I have been looking for
I make waffles weekly and even take my waffle maker on family vacations to the beach. I need a new one every few years and hesitated spending so much for this one. I am glad I did. The waffles are thick and fluffy inside. I also have used brownie mix and regular cake mix in this waffle maker, both turned out amazing. The unit is pretty enough that it stays on my counter top, something no other waffle maker was allowed to do. it had a great looking feature that allows me to stand it up right for space savings and still show off an well made routine kitchen appliance. I am glad I took the plunge and bought this one and believe I might never need another.

This thing is worth every penny.
We make waffles, waffle pancakes, grilled cheeses, egg sandwiches (the little waffle-shaped eggs, uhg), more waffles, etc. in this thing. It is fantastic. So easy to clean (do yourself a favor and learn how to portion the batter so it doesn't go flooding over the sides - that's just for any waffle maker, though). If stuff is stuck on, just turn the waffle maker up for 5 minutes, let the stuff crisp up, and brush it out with a paintbrush (bbq brush, whatever) as you have it turned on its side. It gets VERY hot on the outside as it's cooking, so be wary of this if you have kids. For myself and my husband, we've never burned ourselves', but I can see it being an issue for unsuspecting helpers. Also, my sole complaint about this maker, is the locks. The locks get very hot. Hotter than the outside of the maker. So hot, that if you press your finger against the little lever instead of doing a quick swipe, you will have a welt. This is weird to me. I understand that it's nice aesthetically to have everything be metal and whatnot, and you can just use oven mitts to lock and unlock the iron, but that's my only complaint. Not a deal breaker for me when the waffles (and everything else) are astonishingly beautiful and crisp and so nice.

WAFFLES ON SUNDAY!
WAFFLES EVERY SUNDAY! After reading thru countless reviews on several waffle makers the All-Clad 99011GT 2 Square Belgian Waffle Maker was our choice. I wanted something easy for me and my teens to use, quality, and nice looking. It was well worth the cost, cleans easily, a light goes on when ready to pour the mix (Kodiak Cakes, Power Cake Waffle Mix after many other mixes was the supreme waffle that is also 5 star light fluffy and perfect) as well as when the waffle is cooked according to the number you select, for this mix it was level number 2 gets it to the perfect crispy outside fluffy inside waffle. I spray a little non stick, PUR 1/3 cup of mix in, (if there is overflow there is a nice little removable catch for it easy to clean. When done beeper goes off and I use the little waffle tongs I bought on amazon also (a fork will scratch the nonstick surface) but with this mix and waffle maker the waffles easy lift out with you fingers! Its does get hot on the outside (not for little kids) and it is heavy (think quality) it locks to stand upright for minimal storage space and there is a cord wrap on the bottom. My cakes come out looking gourmet restaurant quality.

Very impressed!
As a rookie wafflist - as in, NEVER made them before - I wanted to start with a good machine that wouldn't let me down. I was willing to spend the money on this one after I read the positive reviews, and I'm glad I did. I followed a Belgian waffle recipe I found online, separating and whipping the egg whites for nice fluffy waffles. I set the temperature control on 4, thinking I'd start right in the middle. My very first pair of Belgian waffles came out PERFECT. They were evenly browned, had just the right crispy finish and inner fluff, and were just the right shade of brown. Popping them out of the iron was easy with a small silicone spatula. Cleanup was easy too, just a soft cloth on a couple batter spots. It's an attractive enough appliance to leave out, but I put it away because I'll only use it Saturdays. My only complaint is that I prefer circular Belgian waffles....but these came out so exquisitely good, I'll take squares. :)
