Solid product. Great fit. I use these to mountain bike after going over my handlebars and hurting my wrist. They work very well even with a damaged wrist.

Bought 4 sets, after the 1st pair. Feel good. Looks good. A buddy of mine has already played crash test dummy and they saved his palms and wrists 100%. I've got all kinds of armor and PAD gear, but I Never ride without these on. Just received the full set, but have not tried the knee and elbow pads yet, but they look great also, and quite functional.

The Update I never wanted to write: I crashed at full speed off my Boosted Board while wearing these, that's about 20mph flat onto the pavement in an instant (I don't even really know what happened). 3 years of riding like this and suddenly I guess I just got lazy and BANG! I know I slid a little bit on the wrist guards from the gouges and then onto my elbow from the bruises from there the impact broke my upper arm bone at the shoulder, although I did no land on my shoulder. But how are my wrists you ask? Super! Almost 100% perfect. I was so amazed that I consciously considered if there was any pain at all and figured that maybe I had a vague sense of possible soreness for a day or two? I DON'T EVEN WANT TO THINK ABOUT HOW SICKENINGLY BROKEN MY HANDS, maybe my WRISTS, maybe my lower arm bone would have been without these. Ugh! And the road rash! I would give these 10 stars if I could, shoot, 11! If I could go back in time and put $20 into Apple computer stock in the 80s or buy these, I'd buy these. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Original review: Haven't crashed yet, but I'd feel a LOT better doing so wearing these. I bought them after my stepmom broke her wrist on a Hoverboard indoors and recommended I get some protection as it shut her down for a good long time. They are very comfortable. I ride a Boosted Board (powered skateboard) a lot in San Francisco, so I'm regularly going 20mph+ on urban streets. I figured I don't have time or money in my life for broken wrists so it's a great investment. A little dorky, yeah, but whatever, that's safety gear. I did some light research, and it seems there are two "mechanisms" by which these would save wrist bones in a crash. 1) spreading the load, (that one is obvious) 2) sliding. Go to YouTube and look for videos about people breaking their wrists. A lot of the time the unfortunate hand basically sticks to the ground, and the arm moves. Wearing these would allow the hand to slip. I mean, there are problems with that too, but overall I think I prefer it in most cases.

These are great, especially for the price! Great, well fitting hand protection. (As a side note I am a 30-some adult who roller blades for sport) Would buy again.

Recently I strained both my wrists. A therapeutic wrist brace I tried (“Gold Xiong”) did not fit right and inhibited full use of my fingers. Someone suggested I try roller blade wrist guards, so I ordered these. They work very well – giving solid protection of my wrists by limiting movement while also being comfortable and giving me fairly good use of my fingers. Each one consists of two pieces – one piece that goes under the wrist, and on that goes over it – both connected with two Velcro straps that are used to draw the brace tight. The only downside is that the bottom piece is supported by a piece of hard plastic to keep the wrist immobile. This piece, of course, is not breathable, and can make that part of the guard a little hot in warm weather. But both sides are open, which allows more air. (I have what I consider medium sized hands – about 8 ½” around the hand at the palm. The medium size of these wrist guards is just right for me.) Highly recommended. (Of the therapeutic wrist braces I have tried in the past, Muller Fitted Wrist Brace [“Green”] worked well. While the roller blade wrist guards are a little firmer, which might be helpful for sprains, etc., the Muller brace allows a little more flexibility for something like typing [your fingers can spread further apart]. For most functions, either type of brace would probably work.)

I have had Parkinson's Disease for 12 years, and with that comes balance issues. Of late, my falls have been coming fast and furious. I knew it would be only a matter of time before I would injure my wrist. Instinctively, we tend to try to catch ourselves when we fall. This would put much of the body weight on the wrists. I can only guess at the number of falls I've had since getting these Rollerblade wrist protectors. I will say twenty. I'm talking about real falls. Where the bottom drops out and you're halfway to the ground before you realize it. And again here I can only guess, but I would say that three of my falls could have resulted in wrist injuries.

Perfect for my 7 and 10 year old kids. One uses them for skateboarding and the other for roller skating. Fit fine, easy on and off.

I bought these to replace an aging pair of Triple8 wrist guards. When I told my doctor that I was going to take up rollerblading, he insisted I wear wrist guards when doing so, and I am glad that I did! The old set has many scars. Rather than simply get an identical pair, I was looking for the upgrade. These certainly appear to be a design upgrade. Made by an Italian company, it's no suprise that they look and feel more like Agents of SHIELD body armor than simple, functional wrist guards. I no longer rollerblade, but I do Segway in the park, and will don these for tonight's ride. The basic design of a wrist guard uses a curved, rigid plate made of thick plastic to absorb some of the shock of a fall, thus protecting the wrist. This design does away with the plate, in favor of formed sectional pieces that cover more area without the pronounced stiffness of a more conventional design This seems to provide added flexibility that may make it easier to operate controls with the hand and fingers. We'll see...

Very nice wrist guard for skating. Comfy and cool, plus I've had a chance to try them out in action (multiple times) and was pleased with the zero amount of skin I left on the road.

I fell forward when I was rollerskating at the beach, but these awesome wrist guards took most of the impact. My wrists feel fine
