I've owned my Mitsubishi DLP tv since 2008. The first bulb lasted till 2011, the 2nd till 2014, the 3rd till 2016. The first two were OEM bulbs, the 3rd was an off brand but not the super cheap ones but still only lasted a year and a half and was around $60. My advice is get the OEM bulb. They last three years but if you do buy the cheap ones, at least buy two so you'll always have one handy.

I paid extra for an authentic Philips OEM replacement lamp. It's worth the extra money! I had another one and it didn't last very long. This Philips lamp is better quality and provides better light to the TV than the other lamp. Learn from my mistakes. Pay extra and do it right the first time. This seller is A+ and goes the extra mile for his customers. You won't go wrong ordering this or any other item from Shop Hut LLC.

After 8 years, the original bulb finally failed. Ordered this bulb with Same Day shipping and had barely any downtime. Just completed the installation and this bulb is definitely brighter. I had to tone down my settings (to be expected replacing an old dim bulb). Appears to be an OEM replacement with Phillips bulb. Installation was a breeze, but I decided to stick with the OEM Phillips head screws, rather than the fat flatheads that came with the new unit, as they are easier to use, and I don't need two different screwdrivers. Be careful not to overtighten any of these screws, as the plastic is pretty brittle. Also, do not touch any part of the bulb as oil from hands can cause premature failure once the heat of the lamp kicks in. Along with a new DLP chip to remedy white spots 5 years ago, my Mitsubishi WD-60737 has a new lease on life. With such easy and cheap maintenance, and great picture, I won't be replacing this TV as long as parts are available. When this bulb fails, I'll update this review to provide an example of life span.

I have purchased generic, OEM Phillips and the "high quality" Osram lamps and the bottom line is no lamp produces a brighter, more detailed picture or lasts as long as the Phillips OEM bulb. Even though the Phillips costs more than twice as much (unfortunately it doesn't last twice as long , maybe 30% longer) the better quality screen image makes the Phillips the better purchase. The Osram bulb does have a great picture when new but is not as bright as the Phillips and lasts about as long as the generic lamps. The only improvement would be packaging that differentiates the product in the box as all the boxes are the same plain brown package.

This bulb was so simple to put in. The Packaging was great! Never had a package packed so well. ShopJimmy was the seller and we received the package very quickly and it was handled with great care! Great job to Jimmy first of all. The bulb has made our tv brighter than ever, just like new! I am very impressed with Phillips. We shopped around for the best, quality product and even contacted Mitsubishi. THEIR BULB WAS ONLY GUARANTEED FOR 90 DAYS. ShopJimmy is guaranteed for 1 year! So we took a chance on the Phillips and so glad we did. We are once again in love with our tv! The color is awesome. The original bulb lasted us 4 years and the Phillips was exactly the same OEM as the Mitsubishi. And Mitsubishi wanted to charge us $140.00 not including shipping which would be an extra $20.00 We paid $101.00 Hopefully we get something close to wear on this product. If not, I know we will get more than 90 days!! I am a very happy shopper! Thank you Amazon for the free shipping!

The only truly lasting quality bulb is the Phillips Branded bulb with 10 digit serial number on the bulb. Best picture, longest lasting bulbs are genuine Phillips. I bought the 35 dollar one already first. It died in 50 days and the company was removed from Amazon as an authorized seller. Ie....out of biz. So I did what I should've done the first time and bought the proper built bulb. Don't be like Steve, buy the good bulb.tye first time.

I’ve owned a 65 inch Mitsubishi DLP for 7 years and recently needed to replace the lamp. We’d never done this before so when the TV brightness began to diminish over a few months we thought we needed a new TV. I did some research online and decided to try a new lamp and this Philips OEM lamp is the one we chose. We figured since the original lamp lasted 7 years the OEM should be just as good and it is. I wasn’t willing to roll the dice and by a cheap knock off. It only took about 5 minutes to unplug the TV and replace the old lamp. The changes were drastic, like getting a new TV but for a fraction of the cost.

Bought this TV second hand in 2012. Learned about replacing the bulb soon after that. A bulb is a bulb, right? The under $50 ones work good enough? After replacing them yearly figure I'll try this manufacturer suggested one. The picture is brighter and sharper than I've ever seen it. How long the bulb will last? We'll have to wait and see of course.

My original 9-yr old bulb finally and rapidly began to dim. I thought I’d just toss the 65” TV since it is yesterday’s tech but decided that, if I could find a reasonably-priced replacement bulb, then I’d keep the set longer. I was surprised to find this replacement bulb available at such a reasonable cost. Installation was straightforward, took minutes, and had no ‘gotchas’ regarding fasteners, etc, that some other reviewers have mentioned. Picture is now as sharp and as bright as when the set was new.

I opted to buy the better quality lamp due to the many bad reviews the others had. First of all the lamp is not exactly like the original it has some minor cosmetic differences. It installed perfectly into my 73 inch Mitsubishi Television. It was a simple matter of removing three screws and removing the old unit and reinstalling this one. As soon as it turned it on I notice that the TV as noticeably brighter than it used to be. So its been a week without any problems. All that is left to see is if it lasts as long as the original one.
