Clutch! This item is rugged and HUGE! Perfect to get the lawn ornaments off the lawn. Our mowing guy no longer has distain for my child and all his fisher price equipment and sand buckets. This container is so amazing and looks so good that when we finished assembling in our living room, we realized it would be the perfect giant toybox too! I bought it on sale at $110 and unfortunately the price has gone up to $170, so i'll stick it in my cart and hope the price drops again so i can get a second one for indoor toys.

I was concerned this box was not going to be large enough for what I wanted to do...boy was I surprised. I have two different patio sets which collectively have 10 folding chairs between them. Here are all the pros: - I am able to stack all ten chairs on one side of the box, and still have room on the other to place miscellaneous outdoor things like candles, lights. - Its huge, more than adequate space for whatever you need. - It can definitely seat at least 2 people - Easy to put together. 10-15 min and not a single curse word (scouts honor) - Stay with me on this pro before you stop reading: The lid is solid, and takes a little bit of force to open, but once you open it, the hydraulics take care of the rest. Shuts just as easily, and quietly. No pinched/crushed fingers if you have little ones like me. Cons: The picture makes it seem more brown than it really is. The one thing I was a little taken back by was the color. I have brown composite decking (from home depot) and wanted to match as close as possible, this product does not even come close to that brown. It is more a dark chocolate color, but it still looks great on the deck and beats having to walk to the shed every time we need extra chairs. Possible additions if you are handy...I think I may plan to add casters to the bottom. This way, when everything is inside, we are still able to move the box. Not sure if it will be possible, but I'll update the review if I can figure it out.

Going on three years, and fully exposed to direct sunlight and Northeast climate, this thing looks and works like new. Totally leak-proof, we use it to hold lawn tools, seed, buckets, and bags of mulch. We don't lock it and top has lifted just once in high winds, Now,if we expect wind above 30mph we place a bag of topsoil on top and all is good. Its so nice to be able to run and dump our yard tools in it when a rain storm sneaks up. The price, however, in eighty dollars more than in May 2016. It would be great to see the price drop some...

Picked up through amazon warehouse deals, beat up box but pristine product...saved a ton. There were no put together instructions, but easy to figure out. Appears to be quite sturdy. Easily holds 4 full size cushions for my outdoor chairs and some small cushions as well. I Will have to wait until a heavy rain, hopefully they should stay dry. So far an excellent deal.......and even came a day sooner than expected.

We have this in our backyard on a covered patio in Texas. It does get blowing rain and some sun, but it's relatively protected. We use it store pool toys. It's nice enough looking that I've also used it as an extra serving location for a cookout. The directions say someone could sit on this. I'm petite so I'd feel comfortable sitting on it, but a full grown man may cause the top to sag. All and all I'm impressed with the construction. I was concerned about it being plastic, but there is some metal reinforcement inside. The hinges seem very sturdy. There are hinges on each edge and then tehre is a support in the middle to keep it from opening too far, in the case of a wind gust. I agree with other reviews that if it's going to be out in the open and you want it to remain water tight you may want to caulk the inside. We didn't do that because it's up near our house on a covered porch. My husband and I put it together in about 30 minutes.

This large, plastic deck box is a great solution for storage problems. Assembly was pretty easy. An extra pair of hands is helpful because the box is large and unwieldy rather than heavy or difficult. All the screw holes line up and everything fits together well. We were able to assemble this box in under an hour, and we're not very handy at all! The box comes in large plastic panels with metal reinforcement beams already attached. The pieces snapped together. I love the pneumatic hinges on the lid. The lid stays open so you can dig around in it. The lid will never slam shut when you close it. The hinges are really a wonderful feature. The box is large enough for lawn and garden equipment. It will help keep our tools handy and organized. The lid has a loop that will accept a standard padlock. Finally, the deck box is large and sturdy enough to double as an impromptu bench seat for garden parties. The seat doesn't sag when sitting on it: I was pleasantly surprised by how solid the box is when used a bench. This is a five star product because it was easy to assemble and provides a lot of storage. It also doubles as a bonus bench on our patio. So we are very happy with this product.

I received this in typical fast shipping Amazon fashion. I purchased it to store outdoor pillows and cushions hoping it would keep them dry in the rain and winter months. I assembled it alone, instructions were very simple and it went together very fast. I was surprised at how easily it went together. We happened to be having a huge rain storm the day I assembled it. So I sat it on the the patio all day and checked later after the rain stopped, not a drop of water inside. The lid is very sturdy and has nice hydraulic hinges allowing it to open and close very softly. All around very happy with the purchase.

After the thousand or so reviews, I don't think anybody will be concerned with my little review, but I'm writing one anyway. Assembled this box in about 30 minutes and the assembling was smooth and about medium difficulty. I'm going to use this to store fireplace logs for the winter. I really like this box because it is good quality for the money. This is one of the few items that I purchase that is pictured and described right on the seller's page. I received this item in about 3 days and it arrived in pristine condition. I have found NO fault with this box and if I did, I would advise you. A good and useful product for the money...

I moved into a new apartment last month which, to my dismay, didn't have a storage closet off the balcony like I expected. My boyfriend and I had been relying on the storage area at our old place pretty heavily so this was a devastating blow. Luckily, I am a genius and thought of the brilliant idea to get one of these deck boxes to store our extra crap in. Since our balcony isn't huge and we do sit out there occasionally, I didn't want something ugly we'd have to look at all the time. We had a fair amount of junk we wanted to stuff away, so we needed something fairly large. And, given the fact that we'd just moved (which we all know can be a great expenditure), we couldn't afford anything too pricey. So with those three criteria, this is what we got. It came quickly, packed well with an abundance of styrofoam (that might be my one complaint: little bits of styrofoam got everywhere). Assembly was a bit intimidating at first just because it's such a large item, but it was really quite easy. I did it alone (although it'd definitely be easier with two people) and quickly. Most of the pieces just click together; the hardest part is probably attaching the hydraulic top lifter-upper pieces, but even that wasn't bad. And as you might be able to tell, I'm not incredibly handy. I was nervous about the "weather-proofness" of it. Since we were planning on storing cardboard boxes and other things that really shouldn't get wet, it was pretty important to me that there wouldn't be any leaking. I got to test that out right away; the day after I received this, we had about 4 days of rain. It wasn't hurricane weather or anything (not that we really get that here in the golden state), but it was certainly wet outside and this box kept everything nice and dry. Time will tell if it'll stand up to several rainy winters, but it's done well so far. Overall, I'm impressed with how well this box protects everything in it. I also like the look of it; it's not an eyesore out on my balcony. I definitely recommend it as a space-saving solution if you have a bit of patio space.

I ordered the Keter deck storage container to clean up the driveway space in front of our apartment. We don't have much outdoor storage space, and our driveway was cluttered with diving gear and garden tools. The box easily holds everything we want it to plus some! Though the instruction manual says two people are required for assembly, I was able to assemble the entire box in half an hour by myself. The instructions were clear, the pieces were easy to handle, assembly was very easy, and the finished product was beautiful! The box doesn't allow rainwater to get inside (even though we regularly get monsoon-strength rains here on our tropical Caribbean island), and the vents allow air to escape, keeping the contents from getting a musty smell. Several reviewers stated concerns about extra plastic edges from the molding process that were not cut away, but my box had no unsightly nor unfinished edges. I am very pleased with this purchase and will consider Keter products again in the future.
