I liked the Nite Ize clips at first sight: light, strong and good looking (at least by micro tool belt fashion standards!). I briefly used a similar clip, the Nite Ize SB1-2PK-01 Size-1 S-Biner, Black, 2-Pack, to attach a pen knife and Photon LED to my keychain. Sadly, they came unlatched constantly and I found my goodies loose in my pocket or tumbling down the sidewalk. This Micro Lock version looks like my prior Nite Ize but the lock keeps the gate locked tight and not once in several months of daily use has an item come unlatched. I'm surprised Nite Ize didn't figure this out long ago. Now their product is actually useful and secure. I plan to buy another set!

I bought these to work as a zipper lock on my backpack, and for that purpose they work great!! I'm using them on a Fjallraven Kanken Mini and I was worried that they might be too short, but they connect all 3 zippers with more than enough room. After reading the reviews, I thought the lock would be very lackluster, but so far I'm very pleased with the lock and it's more secure feeling than I had thought. Overall, these are very worth it!!!

Not too shabby. MicroLock is nice touch. Finish is only adequate. I understand these biners have more than one use, but with this footprint, many will be using these for keys and EDC items, so titanium would be a nice addition.

These are a Godsend. I love how organized they have made my key ring. I try not to carry a lot of crap on my keychain because it's annoying and messy but I have to have my car key, My KeyBar (key organizer, google it, it's amazing), small flash light and one whimsical item, in this case it's a keychain from a friend. Anyway, these keep everything nice and organized on the ring and everything hangs cleanly and doesn't get all messed up and interfere with other items on the ring. I also love when I go to get my car serviced that I can just undo the s biner and hand the guy the key to the car with out handing him my keys and other items.

These are very handy little carabiner clips. I initially purchased a set of two Size #1 S-Biners as part of several different items I wanted to try out along with several other products in my search for the most suitable combination of rings and clips to organize my keys, and I've since added a selection of these S-Biners for various uses. What I've learned is that Nite Ize produces these S-Biners in various sizes and materials and finishes, each suitable for certain purposes. They're all well made, and in my opinion they are all a good value. I particularly like the locking models that are also available, both this small MicroLock size, and the larger SlideLock(see the models at the bottom of the listing below). This locking style S-Biner is particularly useful since it reduces the chance that something attached using this clip will become accidentally released, which is something I've had happen when using the non-locking style slip. This particular locking S-Biner is only available in the very small size, so for someone who wants the locking feature then the other locking style should also be considered since it's available in two larger sizes. After going through a mini research project of my own in order to both determine the relevant dimensions of the various sizes, as well as find the best listings for them on Amazon, here is a guide to simplify this process for others. IMPORTANT NOTES: - I've done my best to determine representative listings here on Amazon for each of these models. Please keep in mind that these are sold by a variety of sellers here, there are multiple listings for the various different sizes and finishes, and the listings are not always well described such that you can be sure that you'll receive the correct size listed. - The prices also vary widely and from my own observations of the various listings here on Amazon, the best prices are usually for the Amazon 'Add-on Item' listings. It is sometimes necessary to take care in going through the choices available on some of the product pages in order to find those listings and prices. The following listings links are the best I have determined on Amazon at the time of posting this review: -- S-Biner, Size #.5, SBHLF-2PK-01: (available in stainless steel or black, 2-packs) Dimensions: 1.31" x 0.48" x 0.22" | 33.41mm x 12.40mm x 5.74mm Weight: 0.11oz | 3.00g Weight Rating: 3 lb. -- S-Biner, Size #1: (available in stainless steel or black, single-packs or 2-packs, part number begins with SB1) Dimensions: 1.56" x 0.62" x 0.21" | 39.67mm x 15.86mm x 5.50mm Weight: 0.14oz | 4.00g Weight Rating: 5 lb. -- S-Biner Size #2: (available in stainless steel or black, single-packs, part number begins with SB2) Dimensions: 1.95" x 0.85" x 0.24" | 49.75mm x 21.71mm x 6.15mm Weight: 0.25oz | 7.00g Weight Rating: 10 lb. -- S-Biner Size #3: (available in stainless steel or black, single-packs, part number begins with SB3) Dimensions: 2.67" x 1.18" x 0.26" | 67.97mm x 30.09mm x 6.83mm Weight: 0.49oz | 14.00g Weight Rating: 25 lb. -- S-Biner, Size #4: (available in stainless steel or black, single-packs, part number begins with SB4) Dimensions: 3.52" x 1.57" x 0.31" | 89.41mm x 39.92mm x 7.94mm Weight: 1.06oz | 30.00g Weight Rating: 75 lb. -- S-Biner, Size #5: (available in stainless steel or black, single-packs, part number begins with SB5) Dimensions: 4.38" x 1.93" x 0.33" | 111.41mm x 49.19mm x 8.45mm Weight: 1.69oz | 48.00g Weight Rating: 100 lb. This Nite Ize S-Biner 3-Pack is also available and includes one each of sizes 2, 3 and 4, in either stainless steel or black. (Part number begins with SB234). This is a better value if you want to get these particular size S-Biner's. There are also a couple of variants to the S-Biner product that incorporate locking features to better secure the two gates and prevent them from accidentally being opened: Nite Ize S-Biner SlideLock (size #2 or size #4) (Part number begins with LSB2 or LSB4 for size 2 or size 4) Nite Ize S-Biner MicroLock (size is between the regular S-Biner size #.5 and #1) (Part number begins with LSBM) Nite Ize also offers the same style product but manufactured in plastic, in sizes 0, 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10, in various colors. For example, here is the Nite Ize SBP4-03-01BG black #4 size plastic S-Biner. I can't include listings to more of the plastic models here because Amazon limits the number of links to 10 in any review. The size and weight ratings for the plastic models are comparable to the metal S-Biner's. Nite Ize has a very broad product line of hardware products, and it's helpful to go to their own website in order to get the best descriptions of their products as well as representative MSRP pricing, before making final purchasing decisions here on Amazon.

Using to attach the dog tags to a dog collar. Works great since you can move from collar to collar in seconds. I prefer the microlock to make sure they don't accidently come off. Would recommend the product to anyone with dogs. Will buy more and give out as presents.

These were EXACTLY what I was looking for. We wanted something to help secure a purse and a backpack when traveling in crowded, tourist locations. These fit the bill. Attached each end to 2 zipper handles and then twisted the little lock, which made it very difficult for someone to unzip the zippers. Also used it on a purse - attached 1 end to the zipper and the other to the metal ring that attached the shoulder strap to the purse. It was a little hard to turn the lock, but I was ok with that. If it was a little hard for me, then it would be for a pick pocketer, too. (Of course, we were vigilant, too but felt that these were an effective deterrent - why try to mess unlocking these when there were probably other, easier targets out there (sad, but probably true). I would highly recommend these.

Just wanted to let people know -- currently this product page has two of these for $6.00, but you can buy the "Nite Ize Key Rack Locker" for $8.26, and it comes with SIX identical micro-lock s-biners. Now, actual review: I love these things -- a little extra peace of mind, if you need it, that whatever you're attaching things to will stay attached. The little locking plastic bit is very secure. That comes at a price -- since it's stiff, and very small, your fingers can't get much leverage on it and it can be a little uncomfortable to lock the biner. Still worth it, and most of the time it won't release whatever's on it when unlocked anyway.

UPDATE: 9/26/2015: It has been 6 months since I put these on my camera and it has worked beautifully for me, with no problems or issues of any kind. I can think of no reason why this won't continue to work for as long as I decide to keep this camera. These worked PERFECTLY to connect the swivel loop on my vintage strap to my new camera without having to resort to the nylon straps usually used on modern camera straps. For my purpose, it wouldn't fit on the camera mount (and even if it had, I'm not sure I wanted the metal on metal contact). I used this item on my camera OP/TECH USA System Connector Adapt-Its I love that it is available in black as well as silver because the black blends in with how I am using it. The lock was a little difficult to open in order to be able to attach it, but I look at this as added security of it not coming open when I do not want it to. If I were going to be changing it frequently, requiring me to open and close on a regular basis, I would look for something else. Not only would it be too much of a pain, I would be concerned how long the lock would last since that part it is made of plastic.

This is the best key organizer I've ever used. I have three sets of keys, with one set that I carry every day. This clip makes it easy to switch the other sets. The lock is nice, but I usually don't even bother with it.
