Years ago, I used this spoon for feeding my human babies and I loved it. I remember liking that it kept the pureed food free of "double dipping". That was at least 8 years ago - but I just purchased this because I was having trouble weaning my bottle fed foster kitten! Just like a human baby, this spoon did the trick of transitioning an orphaned kitten from suckling a bottle to licking from a spoon! Easy to fill, easy to dispense, easy to clean. I'd recommend buying 2 so one is always clean and ready to use.

Perfect for on-the-go moms

Perfect for on-the-go moms! I just put yogurt or any puree into the pink portion and it squeezes onto the spoon when ready to feed. The spoon even comes with a cover to protect while it is in your purse or diaper bag.

I'm a new mom and this was one of the first products I chose without a family/close friend's suggestion. MY HUSBAND AND I LOVE IT! I pop in frozen cubes of her favorite homemade purees and leave the house. 2-3 hours later she is ready for her meal and after a quick shake of the "bottle" to mix it she's eating. I feed with one hand and use the other to battle my 7 month old's hands from playing with her food. Easy to wash and hasn't leaked at all in the month we've had it. 3 things to be aware of: 1. Spoon cover is small, I always worry I will lose it when I take it off. 2. Squirt with caution, a little pressure is all you need. We made a mess till we got the hang of it. 3. Purees have to be a smooth consistency. If it's too watery the food/liquid may separate and you will be either squirting liquid or shooting food from it. We get compliments on it whenever we use it. I've already purchased a spare and another for a gift. Worth the $10 if you make your own purees and want to feed on the go.

Life savers!

This product is Amazing!!! I happened to get a hand me down boon spoon about 8 years ago. I saved it for years to use with my other kids. I needed more to use since I now had kids in sports/activities and I was always on the go. I would put my baby's food in one of these and take it to go in my diaper bag. They come with a spoon cover that is hard plastic that covers the hole where the food comes out of. The body of the spoon is a soft silicone that you gently squeeze to get the pureed food out. The spoon itself is a hard plastic but we had no issues. It is easy to clean and comes apart in 2 pieces. Seriously, best gadget ever! This is coming from a mother of 4 who has probably owned and purchased every gadget out there to make life easier!!

Great for transitioning

I'm breastfeeding and a nurse originally recommended this spoon to use it to feed my son breastmilk instead of bottle feeding. (To avoid nippke confusion). I tried it but drops the milk too fast, my son has a hard time swallowing it since it's too much. I'm definitely keeping it for when I need to transition from liquids to solids. It's a great item to have. It's easy to clean and will do the job just fine.

Baby food on the go

Just fill this container with baby food and take it on the go. It does splatter sometimes when there is a lot of air backed up in it but it keeps the baby happy in the car when you stop to feed them. I tried it in the dishwasher and it did not clean well at all. I was slightly disappointed in that but now we just clean it by hand and it comes out so much cleaner. We are very pleased with the purchase.

Another Great Boon Product!

First of all this is not our first boon product and wont be our last. Boon makes babying EASY!! This soon is great because you can add the amount of food baby needs, our baby doesn't eat the whole jar yet therefore double dipping with a regular baby spoon is a no no because of bacteria. Reason number 2 that I love this spoon is that I dont get baby food all over MY hands. The spoon itself seems easy for baby to eat off of. Easy to wash, I put the tube part on the top rack of the dish washer and the spoon part in our boon dishwasher basket. Also this product comes with a cover for the spoon with is great for the diaper bag. I think Ill order another so that when ones dirty I have a back up!!
