I'm allergic to pretty much the entire world besides food. And I have been the entire time I've been alive. Tree pollen, weeds, ragweed, pet dander, etc etc etc.. It's a bit of a long list. After learning recently (last year) through some allergy testing how many different things effect me, they highly recommended I get a true HEPA air purifier. I bought a small one for my bedroom from a local store and tried it out. It has helped me out immensely being next to my side of the bed while I sleep. Having two dogs pet dander was always around. No matter how much my wife and I swept the hardwood floors and vacuumed the furniture there is no getting past it. But we are suckers for rescuing dogs. Sooo I saw this Honeywell unit at one of the big box stores for probably $80 more than Amazon had it. I ordered it here and got it quickly. A really fast simple setup and it was up and running in our open floor space area of our home. Noise levels? I enjoy it. A little white noise that I don't even hear anymore. Does it work? Heck yeah. It has been going great. The amount of particals you normally can see in most homes in a beam of sunlight throught he window are nonexistent anymore. The levels of dust that accumulate on furniture? Pretty much NONE. My breathing and allergies have been SIGNIFICANTLY improved. For real, I cannot recommend this enough. It's awesome!

I purchased this in March 2017 after trying to figure out why I was always stuffed up in my house. I went through allergy testing , not allergic to cat , have one. Not allergic to dogs, have two hypoallergenic types. Am supposedly allergic to dust. Anyway I read reviews and figured let me try. Within a few days I saw significant difference. I have this in downstairs of home in kitchen our most highly traffic us and pets. I am no longer stuffy, ever. I also haven't had a migraine since purchase. Coincidence? I have no idea, I wasn't frequent sufferer but every once in while would wake stuffed up and have it. I am usually a skeptic but am convinced that this did in fact help clear allergens from air. I don't think I realized how miserable I was until I experienced cleaner air. I am investing in another for the upstairs of home. I read reviews some say it's loud, I disagree, I can hear mild humming but is on,y loud if you hit turbo button. Which I don't use, i just keep it on regular clean.

This is the first product like this I've ever bought, I'm so glad I did!!! First off , I have noticed less dust on my furniture and the air in my home just feels lighter if that makes sense. I just changed the carbon filter and it was totally disgusting, I just couldn't believe how filthy dirty it was. It had pet hair along with dust and lots of it. I'm so glad it was on the filter and not in my house or worse yet in my lungs!!! If you're on the fense about this product buy it knowing it really works and cleans your air inside your home!!! I'm sure glad I did and want to buy another one for my bedroom.

Just got it today but so far so good! We really needed an odor controlling and air filtering device for the room the cats litter box is in. This product seemed to fit our needs, and the main complaints I saw in the reviews had to do with it being too noisy. I was worried it would be much too loud for us, but I was also desperate so I decided to give it a try. Now that I've got it plugged in and running on turbo I really don't know what everyone was griping about. Sure, it makes some noise but it's certainly not deafening and I don't have to scream to be heard over it. I really can't imagine this thing being too loud for people to deal with. In terms of the actual filtering, it seems to be doing the trick. It's certainly moving the air through it and it's sucked some cat hair out of the air already. I hope it does a good job controlling for odor as well, since that's my main concern. Will update with more results after I've been using it a while.

When we first arrived to Virginia my kids were constantly sick. For weeks. And because there are seven of us, it would take days to work it's way through the lot of us. Just as one illness would end, another would begin! This year we made some serious changes, as I have a compromised immune system and just could not bare the thought of repeating last years neverending plague. We purchased this with the hopes that it would help us eliminate bacteria and pollutants from our home. I am so very pleased with this product!!!! We have it running in our home almost constantly. It's setup in our living room where we spend most of our time. The kids love to take balloons and toss them above it, so that the balloon rides on the air. So not only is it cleansing the air, it's providing entertainment. It is a little loud, but honestly, I like the white noise. It's not loud like, machine loud. It's loud like, I have it on high and can hear air blowing loud. Which is quite soothing to me. I'm so glad we bought this. I recommend it to all of my friends.

This thing is amazing, and worth every penny. I have terrible allergies, and a cat I'm allergic to. My boyfriend is extremely allergic to cats, to the point he can't stay at my house. We figured we'd give this a try one night. He didn't use his inhaler once. One Allegra, and he was fine. No itching, no sneezing, no tightening of his chest. He slept through the night like a baby. Stayed two nights in a row with no problems. Pollen has started early here, and I have zero issues. That's never happened. This is an incredible purchase, and you won't be disappointed.

This is my second Honeywell HEPA air purifier. The first one was the round shaped model 12520 (purchased in 2000) with intake at the top and outflow at the bottom. This setup IMO doesn't work as well unless you place the air purifier on a table top, but then you get the airflow blowing at your chest level. My older model finally gave out, but hey, 19 years of use is good in my book. This model, HPA300 makes more sense as a floor model and better circulation standpoint, with the intake at the bottom and outflow at the top. I've read the negative reviews before purchasing this item and it seems that many of the complaints are from user error. That is not removing the manufacturer installed plastic over the HEPA filters that have been pre-installed, and expecting the touch sensitive buttons on top to be instantaneous. I've owned this air purifier for the past 5 months now, with it running on lowest setting, "Germ" every night for a good 8 hours. This is the quietest setting and you get use to the hum as it becomes background noise. During the weekends, I run the air purifier for a good 5 hours on "Allergen" (third highest setting) and "Turbo" (highest setting), which is super loud, but I think that's a good thing as the faster the air can be circulated in the room, the quicker it can remove the allergens. I'm impressed with the fans output and model design. Yes, you could DIY, and stick a carbon pre-filter and furnace HEPA filter behind a floor fan, but just from a practical standpoint, this just looks better and functions well. I've replaced the carbon pre-filters already and will be going on my third set soon. I have seasonal allergies and when the air purifier is operating, I FEEL the difference. Don't take my word for it, just look at my second photo of the dirty pre-filter after 3 months of use and I dust/vacuum my room weekly. Good purchase and worth not having the itchy eyes and runny nose.

I have owned multiple air purifiers, and this one is by far the best for the price. My son has pulmonary issues which causes him to have reoccurrent respiratory illness, sensitivity to allergens, and he requires oxygen supplementation. In addition to oxygen tanks we have an oxygen concentrator in the home that will set off an alarm when the oxygen quality of the concentrator is <86%. We have a 2600 sqft, open concept, one story home. We had reoccurring issues with the O2 concentrator setting off alarms anytime it was moved out of the bedroom. We have a unit in the living room, family room, and one in the bedroom. These purifiers have done an excellent job cleaning the air, which helps keep the O2 concentrator’s filters clean, which allows us to use he concentrator throughout the house without having to switch to using a tank. Bought my first unit in July 2016, and have had no issue.

My chronic allergies and sinusitis have required that I use HEPA air filters in every room of my home. Over the past 20 years I have owned many different units, almost all of them were manufactured by Honeywell. While all had the same basic functions and worked quite well, this unit is by far the best and quietest air filter that I have ever owned. Consumer Reports rates this air filter very high and with good reason, because it's the best and most affordable unit on the market to date. The unit is very simple and offers double filtration, the extra thick charcoal filter is first, followed by the extra thick HEPA filter. The air is pulled in from the front of the unit where it goes through both filters and then comes out from an air grate on the top of the unit just behind the controls. This makes it a great space saver that can be placed almost anywhere, especially against a wall. There are 4 levels of filtration, #1) GERM, #2) GENERAL CLEAN #3) ALLERGEN and #4) TURBO. The 1st level GERM is virtually silent, I've never owned an air filter that is this quiet - it is the perfect level to use while watching a movie. #2) is a pleasant white noise that is barely audible and offers a great amount of filtration. The 3rd and 4th levels offer superior air flow and are so much quieter than my other Honeywell filters. While I still own multiple Honeywell filters and use them daily throughout my home, I will be replacing them with this unit as my budget allows. In searching for this air filter I looked very closely at comparable units priced as high as $600.- I was searching for an air filter that offered great filtration, but was also quiet so I could use it daily in my home theater room. After looking at almost 20 different units and brands in the $200-$600 price range, checking Consumer Reports as well as the Amazon consumer feedback I was won over by this Honeywell unit because of the price, the basic method of filtration, the very cool control panel, the fact that I could place the unit against a wall, the convenient size of the unit, and finally my positive experience over the past 20 years with Honeywell products. In the end I am very pleased with my purchase and would highly recommend this unit. One final note, the ability to turn the blue light off on the control panel is a welcome upgrade over my other Honeywell units. Thank you Honeywell & Amazon!

Lifesaver This Honeywell Air purifier has been a lifesaver during this summer of awful fires out here in the west. Several days this summer the air quality has been off the charts bad, and I felt I had to do something or risk a hospital visit. Though I bought the air purifier for the smoke, I've been running it to see if it will address the dust and doggy smell--the answer is yes, it does! I did an experiment. I put the air purifier about 3 feet from the little fan in my bedroom. The fan has dust on the blades and on the encasing parts. Enough to indicate that the house is dustier than it should be, and it's no wonder my husband, who has asthma, has problems breathing every once in a while, even though he takes his daily medicated inhalant. I cleaned the fan's blades and set it running again. It's been several days, and there is no dust on the blades of the fan--it seems the purifier was working to reduce the amount of dust in the air. And even though the air is bad again this week, no one is having a problem breathing. The machine has a number of different settings--I have used the allergens setting most frequently. Though some people find the machine loud, it does not bother me, even on the turbo setting, which is about twice as loud as the next loudest setting. the settings are illuminated, and though some people find it distracting, I find it a little useful on my nocturnal trips to the bathroom to have a little extra light. However, it also comes with a dimmer if you can't stand the blue light the machine gives off. Very happy with this purchase. Consumer Reports gave it a recommended status and i was delighted to find it on sale on Amazon.
