Did not melt away with first rain, stays very well, gives good traction with foot traffic. Have not noticed any tracking inside, so far so good.

It works!

Living in Northeast Wisconsin I live with snow and ice. This product worked and did not harm my dog's paws or the concrete driveway. I like that you shake it out and then screw the lid back on. We leave it on our outside covered porch and it is handy for when we need it. Bagged products start to melt once the bag is opened. Will buy again.

Worked very well in a extremely cold environment

We had temps in the low teens (Fahrenheit) a few weeks back and the ice was not melting and starting to get dangerous in certain areas. However, the area was also close to vegetation and where animals often cross. I wanted something that would melt the snow, but not burn paws or plants. The ice is gone and was gone pretty quickly, I can't vouch for the vegetation until this Spring and I really hope the four legged creatures appreciate the attempt to save their paws. Either way, I felt the extra I paid for this product did the trick and will make me a bit less disappointed come the Spring thaw.

First time using snow and ice melter

Kid, pet, and concrete safe; what more can you ask for??? I am new to dealing with the actual winter season of ice and snow so never having to use this type of product, I bought two different brands. Hands down, this product worked the best of the two. I spread this out on my slate steps, concrete and paver patio, and blacktop driveway. I was very happy with the results and just bought two more of these bags.

For keeping paws safe

Needed this to treat the walkways around my home to keep our "Grand Dog" safe. Product works well, reasonable price, quick delivery. Will be ordering more

Best Ever

Had to wait for a snowfall to review This ice melt worked very well. I like the size of the chunks, their visibility and that they won't hurt other outdoor critters. The fact that it is good for the soil around the driveway and walkway,is a bonus. I feel like I'm getting ready for spring with my winter snow removal and ice prep.

We just had an winter storm with mixed precipitation and I got a chance to use my ice melt. It worked really great! Not only did it prevent ice from forming where I had spread it, I really didn't have that much snow left to shovel. I'm really pleased (and a little surprised) that a pet safe product worked that well.
