The rack (or cradle) portion of this product is just what you want — well designed, well made, and something you trust your expensive boat with. Just as important, the four included straps are simply the best quality you could ask for. They are plenty long, have an excellent locking mechanism, and will not scratch your (even more) expensive car. Even though I gave this product a five-star rating, there is one downside and that is installation. Maybe these tips will help you: • Screws can be difficult to get started. Save a lot of time and frustration by doing a dry run with just the screw and bottom bracket (thread the screws first), then unthread and install per manual. • Use a towel under the assembly area because you will be dropping the allen wrench a lot. • Before the final fitting / tightening, put on all cradles snug enough to barely slide on the crossbar. Then tighten the outside cradles (the ones closest to you) on each crossbar, positioned as near to the outside end as possible. Then position the inner cradle on the first crossbar according to the width of your boat. Measure the distance, then repeat on the other crossbar. Two things to keep in mind: your car antenna and whether you want to leave room for a second set of racks. • When installing the cradles, make sure sure screws are tightened evenly (alternate sides) until the assembly is secure. Eyeball everything to make sure the crossbar runs through the center of the cradle bracket.

I purchased these to install on my inno square bar roof rack on a Mazda 5. I had originally purchased the Yakima Even Keel saddles and was unhappy with the way they supported the kayak and mounted to the bar. After doing a lot of research, I found these Nautic Series 570 saddles. These are exactly what I was looking for. Pros: - Lightweight and quick to install. You can leave one side of the connecting bolt threaded and then finger thread the second bolt once placed on the cross bar. - Once connected they are secure and the flexible pad forms to the kayak for a secure hold without putting undo stress on the hull. - The pivot feature is innovative and makes the loading and unloading process a breeze. With other products you have to lift you 60+ lbs Kayak up and over the saddle with these you can simply roll the kayak on and off the rack. The whole process is very easy for a single person. - The straps included are of excellent quality and have a rubber molded guard to protect your car from the cam cleat. They are the perfect length so you don't have a lot of excess strap to tie down after the kayak is secure. Cons: - The security method utilizes a keyed allen bolt with a center pin and although it does provide some measure of security, With the design and additional bolt thread visible it would be easy to remove these without the key with a pair of pliers. Hopefully they don't get stolen.

These are perfect for my purposes, holding my OC1 outrigger canoe. They went on well enough, but the "keyed" allen bolts were a bit irritating. They have a post in the middle of the bolt so you can only install them with the included allen key, which doesn't fit very well. Otherwise they're great. I get a nice secure fit on my OC1 hull and the pressure is distributed really well across it. Definitely a perfect investment.

Surprisingly sturdy product. The rear pad set allows smooth easy sliding of our kayaks without any resistence. Fit my aftermarket Areo cross bars by Rage Powersports without any problems. Tiedown straps are high quality webbing with high quality camlock buckles. The instructions are a little vague, but once you start working with them, it is very clear how to mount and assemble. Only difficulty (minor) was with hex-head mounting bolts that use hex key (supplied with product), but sometimes the clearance to use the key is difficult. But this is a very minor issue. The value is good on this product compared to Yakima's stuff.

These things are the bomb! Low profile, yet crazy sturdy - I received them a few days back and I've already driven 200+ miles with a 60 lb kayak loaded on them. No problems at all. They fit the Yamika Q Tower circle bars well, although it wouldn't appear that way at first glance (the brackets are pretty flat). All in all I'm quite pleased; no need to worry about your pricey boat flying off in the wind. The straps that they come with are great, no need to use bungie cords in addition to them or anything. The only drawback is that these little anchor straps (

The perfect carrier......for me. It allows me to load my 60 lb. Kayak myself onto my Honda CRV. My Seda is long and skinney. 19' by 19". Adaptations I used were; a piece of carpet for the rear of the car, carpet around the roof rails. Quality equipment, excellent straps. So nice someone took mine. I looked at other straps and I'm ordering Rhino Rack straps.

These are great and stylish. We actually have these on our Sonata and easily carry a 75 1lb 14 ft kayak with them. No problems at all. Easy 2 person load. You can take them back off. But for us there was a lot of precise measuring to get the racks in just the right spot so we leave them on. There is a slight whistling sound when driving without the kayak on them, but not terrible. Before these we tried other "cheaper" options to include pool noodles. What a waste of money all those other options were. This is definitely the way to go.

I love my whole Rhino Rack set up. I've used it for a couple of seasons. They have a great universal extender for this rack in order to cantilever a boat over. I use this on my truck roof and am unable to use the extender because the cab is to tall. I hop up in the truck bed and pull my boat up onto rack from the rear of the truck. I put a rug on the cab roof so I don't scratch the truck. Nice looking Kayak Rack!!

This rack is perfect. It was very easy to install requiring only a little bit of extra time to adjust them to accommodate my kayak. The rack and side-loading arrangement is a simple design, but it really does work. I a have 16' sea kayak that I am able to put on to my vehicle from the side with little effort. I also like how the kayak sits in the cradles in a horizontal position - good aerodynamics, and it is securely fixed to the roof rack. The tie down straps are also awesome. I would definitely recommend this to anyone with a longer kayak or anyone that puts their kayaks on a roof rack from the side of their vehicle.

Could not be happier with my purchase! Quality and inspiration from down under! Forget about Yakima or Thule, at twice the price! Was so satisfied that I purchased a second set! Highly recommended this product!
