Super tough string. Resist abrasions as good as anything I've tried

Awesome stuff right here. I was looking for a cheaper alternative to PowerPro or Sufix, so i figured i'd give it a shot, and test it out. Here's what i found Pro's: 1- Price 2- Strength; tested 100yrds in 3,5,10,15 feet incriments (3 times each length) and averaged ~16.6lb breaking strength. Would be higher, but a couple of the shorter length tests broke at the knot below 10lbs (likely my error). Highest was 17.25lb 3- SUPER smooth casting. After several uses in saltwater (without rinsing reel/line) the line never got stiff, and casts as good if not better than PowerPro Super 8 Slick 4- Durability is phenomenal. Got tangled up in oyster covered rocks, 30lb mono leader was broke and the portion of braid that was tangled up was a little frayed, similar to what PowerPro does after using it for a while. Removed it to test, and it broke @ 12.75lb. Pretty good considering how tangled up it was. Con's: 1- There is some black stuff on the line (invisible-grey), not sure what it is. Not REALLY a con, just annoying when you are trying to spool a reel and hold tension on the line only to look at your fingers/hands after to find black everywhere. So far, it seems to have rinsed off. 2- After the black stuff rinses off, the line changes color to more of a light blue. Not really a con, more of an observation. Overall, i'm pleasantly surprised, and won't be using any other brand ever again. A quality product at half the price? Yep, that's for me. Edit: Purchased the 50ld and 10lb since my review - excelent stuff. Holds up like it's supposed to.

I've been using KastKing superpower braid for about three years now. It is so tough and amazingly durable. I continually have fish wrap me around pylons from the pier structures i fish and i always am able to pull fish after fish off the pylons with no problems what so ever. This line has changed my fishing life!! I rarely ever break any fish off anymore and the braid is extremely affordable. No more spending the big bucks on power pro and spider wire! Greatest plus, they have pink braid...and its been tested, pink braid catches more fish!

This is the third time I have bought this line of braid, after going through the ringer twice with it, I have dedicated to it and picked up one spool of each color for me and my fishing crew. The line has proven surprisingly strong and durable. I fish out of Hawaii, primarily on the shoreline, and have a lot of rocks and reef to deal with. The line has handled multiple instances where I have got stuck up on the rocks and needed to apply sizable force to turn a fish out of a hole, and the line handles each time. I run a hook line off of the braid that is of the same test, and with the exception of one time, the line has always broke at the mono hook line, while the braid stood strong. Saltwater and fishing from the shore puts your line to the test, and this braid has passed with flying colors in my experience. Solid price point for a solid product. Me and all my crew have been stoked on our new pickup of line, and it is showing as much promise as the last couple times I have tried this braid. Very happy to have all the color variation to be trying out too.

I love KastKing products and I love this line! There's not really a whole lot a person can say about fishing line. Having said that, I'll still give it a shot. This braided line works as good as or better than ANY of the higher priced brands on the market. It's VERY strong line! It's also very smooth and equally easy when it comes to spooling or tying knots. I have had no problems with attaching leaders to this line, either. It's been my experience that this braided line is just as good as mono or any of the other materials in terms of using hooks, lures, swivels, snaps, leaders, etc., etc., etc. I realize there are people who will completely disagree. Some may even outright call me a liar and claim that you can't use braid for EVERY application or purpose. I will agree to disagree. I'm going by what I have experienced. I've never lost a fish on this line, regardless of how my lure or live bait was attached. That's good enough for me!

I use KastKing on all my gear for fishing here in Southern California. With a short topshot, this braid has cut thru lots of kelp while fighting yellowtail off my kayak. I've used this braid when it was just called Eposeidon and not KastKing, and I'll keep using it for as long as I fish. For the quality at the price, it cant be beat. I started off using this line on my surf reels but now all my reels have it. I use 20lb on my sabiki, 50lb for my Sealine SHA X-40 and 65lb on my TLD 15. Best line I've ever used, hands down.

I was skeptical at first because of the low price of this line. But after a full season using this on Lake Michigan and landing a substantial number of 20+ pound monsters, I'm completely sold! Not 1 break off the entire season. The color fades after time, but the fish don't seem to care. I now have 26 rods with this line on them. I use it for backing on lead core rods and spool up the downrigger and dipsy rods fully and then use a fluorocarbon leader. To do this with the name brand stuff is relatively expensive and I now see no reason to invest in anything else!

great line for ocean fishing. this is for your main line , just add a light leader and pow FISH ON. Castro camp in Baja, mexico, using kastking 65# SuperPower braided line with 40# leader. i caught this Seabass it weighed 62# after gill and gutted. Just got lucky. pervious years I've gotten 30's and 40's but never bigger. this line was fantastic. TommyTuna
