Excellent screen, easy to put together but will need two people to set up. Frame is labeled to take the guesswork out of it, Also comes with a blackout shade on the back side that blocks out any light on the other side. The screen is a grayish color not white, so your colors wont be washed out an produces excellent color. Perfect size screen for any backyard movie night. Just to give you how big the 144" screen is, the person in the pic is 5'10".

I’ve had this projector for a few months now, so I think I have had enough time to judge it’s ability. ITS AMAZING! I looked for weeks to find a movie screen. Some reviews were great and others were horrible. But I took the risk and ordered the expensive one. I especially wanted a stand so it was important. I ordered this knowing the size but I guess the other people in my family were expecting a much smaller size. The instructions were simple. We had a major struggle getting one of the pipes to connect to another pipe. I think the opening was deformed but my husband used a hammer to fit it in. If he hadn’t of fixed it, that would have insanely affected my opinion on this movie screen. Its pretty simple to assemble, taking less than 15 minutes. The only challenging part is securing the hooks on to the pipes. It takes a lot of force, hurting my fingers. I thought i would have broken it, but it was fine. All in all, we had a successful sweet sixteen watching Mulan with the giant movie screen.

I read almost all reviews before ordering and took the opinion that some bad ones were operator error, quality inspector error or shipping damage. I was correct. This screen and it's case are just fantastic. Took it to family reunion to show a movie (jungle book) and everyone was blown away. I also took a home stereo with quality book shelf speakers with rca cable to connect sound. The frame is designed to be lightweight and is aluminum. One must be careful when assembling. The bottom left and right hooks could'nt attach to frame but made no difference. I could tell that they would break if I attached them. Screen will stretch in warmer temps so no reason to be dissapointed in this. I was a 100% satisfied.

I looked at this screen last year but I wanted something larger without spending almost a thousand dollars on another brand. This year I bought this 12' screen and I'm very glad I did. It is big enough and looks beautiful. It is very easy to set up and take down. The duffle it comes in makes it easy to carry and painless to store in the garage. If they made a bigger one I would have bought it instead but 12' is still very large. Last year I made a 10' x 16' screen from a "movie screen" tarp and a network of pvc structure and an old pro grade volleyball pole set with conduit extensions, ropes and pulleys. It was massive and impressive. As an engineer I felt compelled to make it for bragging rights. Problem was, it didn't really save any money, it was heavy, it took too long to set up and the screen had a blemish right in the middle. Due to how far my 2500 lumen projector can throw I also never filled more than about 12-14' of the screen. It worked, it looked pretty decent and it was very impressive to see but at the end of the day it wasn't what I wanted. Now, I carry this thin duffle into the backyard and fifteen minutes later the 12' screen is up and the visual quality is perfect. That's what I wanted! :-)

I am thrilled with the screen. I built my own screen using PVC piping, but taking it down and putting it up was a pain so I decided to bite the bullet and buy this screen based on the reviews. I have used it once so far, and it was very simple to set up. About 15 minutes the first time, but now that I've done it, should take about ten. I would suggest having two people lift the screen up, but you can do it on your own. The screen material is excellent, and it is sturdy in moderate wind. There are some folds in the screen that flatten out nicely when you have the screen set up. I would recommend highly.

We had a huge thunderstorm / insane winds roll through a couple hours after we sat this up for a backyard boil and movie night. I wouldn't suggest leaving it up through a storm but it was unexpected and was over within half hour. The Wind started to blow it over but we were able to set it straight and tack it back down into the ground, otherwise it weathered through (haha see what I did there). We had such a great time watching movies in the backyard. We can't wait for next time.

We selected the screen for all of it's quality features but would recommend Camp Chef products for their customer experience and ease of warranty help. It is a quality product, sturdy frame, but our frame was bent and snapped at a joint where two pieces are welded together. We tied the frame down to "wind proof " it but ended up damaging it by tying it down too firmly. We contacted the warranty department and explained our situation and they were willing to work with us on replacing the part. It shipped and arrived in about a week. The screen comes with a one year warranty, so initially, the warranty department offered to sell us the part we needed because we were out of warranty. A phone call and explanation resulted in our warranty honored and part shipped at no cost to us. What I most appreciate about the customer service experience is that it was easy to reach them, the policy was clear but we were not treated like just another out of warranty customer. It was clear that CampChef stands behind their product. We used the screen about 3 or 4 times in the summer time and will use it in the fall for Sunday night football.

I bought this screen for a camping trip with the family. As the NBA finals were starting and my mother-in-law is a HUGE LeBron fan, she (and most everyone else) wanted to see the games. I paired this with a BenQ short throw projector and my Laptop/Slingbox to get signal in the wilderness. The first time that I set up the screen, it took me about 25 min by myself. The frame components are well-marked and the assembly instructions are sewn inside the case so you cannot lose them. Instructions are clear. Each frame piece has its own elastic holder in the case, so the nothings bounces around. Also, the screen itself has its own bag for protection and comes with clips already sown into the screen edges. You simply clip the screen to the frame. We used the screen three times that week and I projected from both the front and the back. Rear projection is very simple, as the black backing peels off from velcro strips and folds down on the reverse of the screen. Front projection is an easier tear-down, though as you do not have to reapply the backing. The viewing was crystal clear in both directions. Putting the screen away - I did that 3x as well - was still pretty easy after the first time. First time in the dark, it will take some time. And unclipping the screen takes two people. However, by the 3rd time, we had the process down and it took about 12-15 to set up and 15-20 to take down. Unit comes with pegs for the feet and guide wires with stakes. These stakes are pretty flimsy and I have already replaced them with sturdier tent pegs. All in all, one of my best Amazon buys. We continue to use it at home in the backyard for movies and other sporting events.

We bought this for use at the neighborhood pool club. It's exactly what we needed. The colors are bright and saturated, setting focus and keystone is easy, it's portable, sturdy, and assembly is straight-forward. Unlike the inflatable screens, it doesn't require a fan, so it's quiet, and most importantly, we can project from the rear which is a necessity since we use it at the edge of a 25 meter pool -- (we can't exactly float the projector on an inner-tube). Another reviewer knocked the screen's image-quality when used for rear-projection calling it dim and not sharp. We use a 3500 lumen projector and have been satisfied with its image quality when projecting from front or rear. Our expectations may be a little lower than his, but they certainly aren't "low." Another frequent complaint, visible creases in the fabric can sometimes be seen in daylight, but when the screen is in use, you'd really have to strain to find them, and they are no impediment to anyone's fun. Our club had the projector many years before screens like these were available. At that time, the only rear-projection screens we could get were intended for trade-show use and they were ridiculously expensive, so we'd string up shower curtains on movie night. We're so grateful Camp Chef entered the market with these backyard screens -- the shower curtains were a royal pain!

This is a great screen! Be aware, it is massive. Like really huge, but it is surprisingly easy to use. We bought this to show movies outside on our newly remodeled pool deck. We did big calculations on where to put the projector and where to put the screen to see from all areas of the deck and decided that we wanted to project from about 25 feet away so it was going to take a big screen. We toyed about with the idea of a DIY screen just because the cost seemed high, but we worried we'd never get it to work and the costs of a frame and parts would add up. This was totally worth every penny. It is well made, well packaged and easy to put together. Everything you need is included except we purchased 4 sandbags from home depot and filled them with rocks to weigh the feet. These sandbags plus two of the included tie lines (one tied to a wall and one using the excellent metal stakes also included) were more than enough to keep what could be a giant windsail completely stable and safe on a breezy evening. We had no problems with creasing as reported in reviews of many screens. We received this at 7 pm on a Friday night and were watching a movie by 8. It took about 15-20 minutes to set up and that's only because it was our first time. I will say it was also surprisingly easy to put away. I was expecting the screen to be a nightmare to refold, but with two people taking slight care and smoothing each fold it fit easily back in the drawstring bag we took it out of, folded just like new. Then that bag fits inside the case (with attached, water-resistant instructions - brilliant) with the legs and voila, easy storage. I couldn't be happier we decided to go with this screen. It's also worth noting that this is one of the only ones we saw that allows both front projection but with a backing to ensure a great image but then with that backing removable for rear projection. We haven't tried the rear projection yet, but plan to test that soon. The image was fantastic with our epson projector. Highly recommend and will be using often this summer.
