Wow..this is some great fruitcake!!
I have eaten fruitcake for like decades. Why? Because they used to taste like cardboard and strawberry jelly. This Collin Street Bakery Deluxe Fruitcake is fantastic! I got it today, and couldn't wait to try it based on 'Luke's' review. The cake is moist and nutty, with a texture similar to banana bread with nuts, or date load bread with nuts. It's like they baked the cake yesterday. I mean it is very fresh. I look forward having some of this with hot coffee, jasmine or mint teas. I will be ordering another one or two for gifts. I don't care what the Debbie Downer reviewers are saying, this fruitcake is the best I've ever had. Get one, you won't be sorry!!

DeLuxe® Fruitcake 1 lb. 14 oz.
I have ordered DeLuxe Fruitcakes from Collin Street Bakery for decades. This is my first time ordering the DeLuxe Fruitcake via Amazon and it arrived promptly. My husband didn't like fruitcake until he ate the DeLuxe Fruitcake from Collin Street Bakery, he loves this one. Folks who think they don't like fruitcake, should try this one. The freshness and quality of ingredients used in this fruitcake is the key to its taste. To me, it is the most flavorful Fruitcake you can buy, so I give it a 5 star rating.

The One True Fruitcake
This is The Fruitcake. It's the best fruitcake. Thou shalt have no other fruitcakes before it. Seriously, it's loaded with pecans, candied cherries, and candied pineapple, which is what one eats fruitcake for, and is completely without the hard, dry, bitter chunks of citron, which nobody wants in their fruitcake. This is a moist, sticky, wonderful tin of temptation. Try not to eat it for breakfast.

The positive reviews are accurate.
My mother loves good fruit cake so I was thrilled to find this item as a lightning deal especially in August. I sent it to her and to my delight she excited and very surprised to receive a fruit cake in the heat of summer. Her all time favorite was from a local retailer no longer in business. I have been struggling for years to find one anywhere close to the one she loved. I am happy to announce we have a winner! The top is encircled with a layer of pecans giving each piece a bit of crunch. It is loaded with fruit, yet the cake is moist, soft, and luscious. I know where I will purchase fruit cake come Christmas time.

I am amazed! I love this fruitcake!
I truthfully didn’t know what to expect with this fruitcake. I have heard of the Collin Street bakery and it always gets good reviews. I took a chance, ordered one, and taste tested it as soon as I got it. I am amazed! There are all kinds of suggestions in the box on how to serve this fruitcake, how to slice it, how to warm it up & eat it, etc.

Very Tasty! This will be my go-to for the foreseeable future
I usually purchase fruit cake from one of the monasteries, but wanted to try some of the other variations of available high-quality fruit cake. I love fruit cake, and have even been known to make my own, but it's a lot of work to make a really good fruit cake. I expect to have to season a fruit cake with a little bit of spiced rum, orange liqueur, apple juice -or all three- to achieve the taste and mouth-feel I believe a fruit cake should have. I am really thankful that I purchased this one. It has loads of sweet pecans, candied fruit that don't have an artificial flavor, and was perfectly baked so that it was dry enough to accept seasoning without becoming gummy. This will be my go-to for the foreseeable future. Kudos to the Chef!

IF YOU DON'T LIKE FRUITCAKE, GET THIS - IT IS DELICIOUS!
So fruitcake in its many incarnations is both enjoyed and reviled…but mostly the latter. For me, my loathing of fruitcake did a flip-flop once my wife’s aunt began sending us the Collin Street Bakery Corsicana Fruitcake every Christmas. I looked forward to this gift every year until her aunt passed away. I really enjoyed this delicious fruitcake so much that I finally decided to order it this year along with the Pineapple Pecan Cake. I was not disappointed. Both cakes are luscious and full of pecans and fruit to the point where the term “cake” could be considered a misnomer. These moist and sticky cakes have tons of flavor and you can use for a thin slice as a dessert topping or a thicker slab all by itself (topped with a bit of rum or brandy which is one of our favorites). Yep, they are full of calories and luscious to the point of being sinful but I will be ordering these on a regular basis for many years to come.

I need a 2nd slice and I need it right NOW!
Ohhh myyy goshhh, this is such a holiday surprise (to me...er, for me) Let me come clean in the opening statement that I have been on a Keto Diet for the last 2 months and I expect to continue the Keto Lifestyle for the rest of my life............................except for this week. Because this fruit cake is "THE BEST FRUIT CAKE IN THE WORLD"! Holy smokes, the cardboard box had a wonderful image of the Corsicana bakery in Texas and the artistic masterpiece of a tin is such a treat that I will never throw it away....how could you as it's truly a beautiful piece of Americana. The fruit cake is amoungst a set of cakes that vary from pineapple & pecans to a mega-pecan monster. Pecan pies are also their speciality. I knew none of this before. The cake had pecans and candied cherries on top and a perfect mix of medium brown colored cake with holiday sugar sweetness bombs. Have it with tea, have it with coffee, have it with champagne...but JUST HAVE IT. Do not fret, do not check who's naughty or nice, do not wait a minute more...it ships on Amazon THANK GOD! IT'S A MIRACLE!! Buy it yesterday! Oh, and I will have to freeze half so that I may return to the Keto Lifestyle. But today....I need a 2nd piece...and I need it RIGHT NOW! UPDATE: ...couldn't wait. EATING my 2nd slice right now. Is your mouth watering yet? UPDATE #2: Waited a week, then ventured into my freezer where I had buried a golden treasure that would have forced Queen Isabella to built more ships to bring this Texas delight back to the mother country. And I had the foresight to have presliced the cake before sealing in a large vacuum bag. I am reminded of a flight back-in-the-day when there were "direct plane flights"....terms get bantied about and get smushed into mush...those are the flights which stop midway somewhere but you didn't get off the jet if you were continuing on. Only 4 of us were waiting...but the flight attendants were huddled about a 1st class passenger and giggling. I walked up and discovered thst he was "the voice of Tony The Tiger"! Mr. Ravenscroft told us he was going to Orlando to be honored by Kellogg's for X years of support for "Frosted Flakes"...as he had touched generations and repeat generations with his voice. Well, he also was the voice for the Christmas song "Mr. Grinch". Think about it...yeah, that voice from the song you are singing is the same voice as Tony The Tiger. Well, don't you be a Mr. Grinch this Christmas, and wish all of your friends a very Merry Christmas...or bettet yet surprise them. Wouldn't this be a super duper incredible surprise...you'd be the gathering's "star". There's 4 photos but you have to click to see the 4th..and BEST ONE! Isn't your mouth salivating like Pavlov's dog whenever you look at the 4th photo...that slice with coffee is sheer bliss. So, don't be a Mr. Grinch ...buy it. Buy it right now! You will thank me! 😎

Scrumptious!
Several years ago, we were gifted a Collin Street Bakery pecan fruitcake, at which we rolled our eyes -- a fruit cake? Seriously? Well, I decided to sample it, and found it to be the only fruitcake I ever liked! Liked? We both loved it! When I saw that this delicacy is now available on Amazon, I decided to splurge. It arrived quickly, and was just as I remembered it: scrumptious! I've just ordered two more for Christmas gifts.

Forgive me father (in-law) for I have sinned.
I ordered this fruit cake for my father-in-law who is in assisted living. When the fruitcake arrived at my house, I removed the tin box from the cardboard shipping container so that I could gift wrap it for Christmas for him. Moments before I placed the fruitcake on my counter for wrapping, I thought it would be a good idea to examine the contents of the container, and I removed the cover to look at the cake. As I stood there, looking down at this wonderful specimen laying helplessly before me, I succumbed to the incredible and succulent aroma that came upon me and in which became mingled with my olfactory receptors. Sadly, in a moment of weakness, I found my hands grasping for a knife in which to slice through the cake in order to take a small "test" sample. My weakness grew as did my hunger and to make a long story short, I very selfishly devoured the cake as the glutton I turned into and I will seek forgiveness from the Pope and beg for leniency as I hurriedly order a new cake to have shipped directly to my father-in-law whom I know will be filled with glee as I was, in sampling this incredible baked item that was such a joy to consume. Say what you will or might want to say about fruitcakes, but this one was wickedly wonderful and those folks down in Corsicana, Texas make some mighty bodacious and fabulous fruitcakes. I have never-ever tasted one that was even this close to totally wonderful. (Maybe I died and went to Heaven and I don't need to contact the Pope?) (UPDATE, 1-2-2015... I FELT SO BAD FOR MY FATHER-IN-LAW - HAVING DEVOURED THE ABOVE MENTI0NED FRUIT CAKE, THAT ON CHRISTMAS EVE AS I WAS VISITING HIM IN HIS APARTMENT IN THE ASSISTED LIVING CENTER I USED THE AMAZON AP ON MY IPHONE AND ORDERED A SECOND FRUIT CAKE AND HAD IT SENT DIRECTLY TO HIM, INSTEAD OF BEING DELIVERED TO MY HOUSE. WE JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH HIM AND HIS FRUITCAKE ARRIVED EARLIER IN THE DAY, AND HE IS IN "HOG-HEAVEN" AS WE SAY HERE IN TEXAS...)
