I am so glad I spent the money on this cable. Before this the default composite cables made all of my games including No More Heroes and Xenoblade Chronicles look like complete blurry, discolored, and just flat-out disgusting messes. Then once I swapped them out for these component cables and changed my Wii settings to component everything looks crisp, clear, colorful and just all-around amazing. If you have an HDTV and a Wii hooked up to it buying these cables is a must if you care at all about quality. The cables are also very durable and actually funnily enough smelled nice and we're very easy to hook up to my TV

If you are having issues with an HDMI port in your TV, or you don't have any HDMI ports left available, this is for you! Recently I plugged my WiiU into my circa 2005 Sony HDTV, with the HDMI cable that comes with the WiiU. All I received for a picture was a blurry and wavy picture with audio, I then purchased this product. The shipping was fast, arriving within the day of purchasing it. After plugging it into my WiiU, I now have 1080i HD and can use my WiiU as I want. There are a couple things you need to think about when purchasing this product. When you first plug the cables into the WiiU and your TV, you may not get any picture. This is becuase your WiiU is still set up for an HDMI cable, and not the Component cords. Here is what you need to do: *Go into the system settings on the WiiU gamepad. *Scroll over until you get the "TV settings" tab *change the "TV Connection Type" from HDMI to Non-HDMI *Once completed, change the "TV Resolution type" from 1080p to 1080i Now you should have high definition picture, and sound!

I see many people complaining that they get only black and white, and sometimes a split screen. I had this happen to me too, BEFORE I changed the tv input. Chances are good that you were using your Wii on the “AV” input before this cable arrived. If your tv uses the same 5 ports for AV and Component (most do) you will see a b/w image if you simply switch out the cables and leave the tv on the AV input. Switch the cables, then switch to Component input on your tv. If you’re running your Wii on a modern HDTV, you will have a visual “lag” if you use the stock R/W/Y cable that came with the Wii. This makes nearly any game a headache to play. This component cable speeds up the signal and fixes the perceived lag.

There might be an update down the road for durability, but for now, this product does exactly what I needed it to do. My Wii wasn't working with my new TV, but after purchasing this cable, it works perfectly fine. No reason to spend a ton on a new console when you have solutions this easy. Also, while it might break over time, the product seems to be made at a higher quality so I'm not too worried.

Worked fine for me; pay 6 bucks and unlock 480p on the wii. They seem durable enough, just don’t be rough on them... ie if all you do is have them plugged into a wii and tv and nothing else there is zero concern. If you constantly knock your wii or tv off the shelf and it yanks the cord you have bigger issues than a 6 dollar cable!

I have 3 things hooked up to my tv via component cables. The original Xbox, the ps2 and the wii. With all 3 I have aftermarket cables (not official ones) but these clearly stand out from the ones I use on my other two consoles. Both of the other two cables have SOME issue, the xbox component cables give me banding with is super annoying and the PS2 component cables have a loud buzzing sound during silent moments. These? Nada. The picture is crisp, clear and the sound is perfect. These are clearly a step up from the other two.

Item was a week late, and doesn't even work. Switched to 5 star, because I'm a dummy that doesn't know how to work his television. Works fine after learning what I did wrong. Apologies to the seller: it was affordable, and it works. The shipping covfefe was NOT the seller's fault either, so go ahead! Buy stuff from them. Again I apologize to the seller, as a basic internet search showed where I messed up.

I have a Samsung HDTV SyncMaster 2333hd and when I plugged in my Wii the screen was black and white. Thanks to this product I can now see my screen in color and the image is very nice and clear.

I picked up 2 Wii's recently at a storage unit auction. They had the original Wii connector that didn't work with any of my tv sets. Someone on the internet recommended to try component connectors. The system did not work on the first tv I tried them in but I had read to try all your tv sets as some are compatible and some not. The second set I tried with these cables worked. The Wii was up and connected to the internet and playing games in no time.

These component cables will literally change the way you see and experience your Nintendo Wii on your HDTV. Going from standard composite (AV) cables to these component cables is a night and day difference. This goes for both Wii and Gamecube games (for example, Super Mario Sunshine recognized my setup supported progressive scanning (480p)) I recently dusted off my Nintendo Wii and found the standard composite cables that came with the console worked great, however the picture left a lot to be desired. After some researching, I found out that the standard image format for the Wii was 480i (or interlaced video), however the image could be upgraded to 480p (or progressive video). I ordered these exact cables to replace my standard composite cables. Holy cow, the image quality on a 65' HDTV was a night and day difference between the composite and these component cables. 10/10 will recommend to friends and family.
