Loved this product - the consistency of the material is perfect - making the application easy, as well as the sanding the following day. Wish the lid had a little flat surface to use as a scooper / applicator, but overall a great product. Make sure you are careful when first opening the red lid - my face was too close so I got some of it on my face and in my eyes, but washed it right out! Yes, it is that soft!
This stuff was perfect! The texture was amazing and super easy to put on. Just a warning this does not include a putty knife for spreading, but this is really a great product and worked very well! Dried in 30 mins as described and was easy to paint! Primer white so no need to primer and then paint.
This "mud" worked out great for the bathroom we are doing over, its easy to spread, east to work with and seals up nicely, waited about a month after installation before writing a review of the product, needed a small amount to do a small job...works great, good communication....good service from Amazon.....would buy it again...
I've used DAP and Elmer's in the past, but I had tried one of those on a real bad area I had to fix because of moisture damage. I wasn't happy with the way it worked. Then I had a recurrence of the moisture damage which was even worse the 2nd time around so I went on a search and this was the one I decided to try. It's not quite as easy to work with as the others I've used, but not hard to work with either and did a fabulous job. I was afraid the sheetrock might have to be replaced, but this 3M Patch did a great job and that wasn't necessary. You can't even see where the damage was.
I've been repairing plaster, old and new for 40 yrs and this product is different from anything else I've used. It has the consistency of whipped cream but quickly dries rock hard and can be dry sanded w/o the usual mess. I tried wet sanding it too and that works. The ability to dry sand w/o all the debris is a great feature. It accepts paint well too.
This stuff is like magic! I came across a blog while we were doing a whole house remodel and they recommended this product. It goes on like butter. So easy to use, it was my first time spackling and I felt like a pro with the results I got. This is not a product that I would recommend you put on with your finger, you need a good putty knife and a sanding block to go along with this. It dries fast so you can paint in just a few minutes. If the tub dries out, just add a tiny bit of water until it’s the right consistency again. Seriously the best!
First time user of this product. I really like it. As advertised, I haven't experienced any shrinkage. That definitely speeds things up by not having to come back later to apply a second application. Follow up with a light sanding and then apply your paint. No problems with paint adherence or coverage either. Tio: I find myself just using my fingers to apply this stuff instead of using a putty knife (most of the time). It's that easy to handle. I would buy again.
Never thought I could speckle with gusto, but I did! The remodeling company left holes in the walls, which I didn’t notice, but once the heat and humidity stared the certain smell revealed the culprit. I bought the instrument, tape and this patching substance and enjoyed the evening under the sink:)
Amazing to say the least. I live in a dorm and I was taking some command strips off the wall and one caused a small amount of paint to chip off. Not wanting to be charged a ridiculous amount of money at the end of the semester when I move out I decided to fix it myself and you can't tell anything happened. I just used my fingers to apply it and I let it dry and I don't have sand paper or anything, so I used a nail file I don't use cause it's too coarse and it worked perfect. I'm not great at fixing things but, so glad I did this. $7 instead of probably $100, hmm yeah, a no brainer. I will have more stuff to take off the walls later, hopefully I won't need to use it again but if I do, I have it, highly recommend it.
This product is great! I drilled a hole in the wall to hang my curtains but then later decided to use command hooks rather than drilling it in. I use this to patch up the hole, and now I wouldn’t even know there use to be a hole there! The product is white and it blends in with my wall perfectly, I didn’t need to paint nor did I need to sand the wall, I just wiped off the excess with my fingers.
