I am an aspiring magician, but too often I found myself put on the spot, expected to deliver mind-blowing illusions without the appropriate musical accompaniment. Not any more. I loaded Europe's "The Final Countdown" on an SD card (sold separately) as the sole file, and threw it in this music player. I carry it with me EVERYWHERE. Now, all I have to do is flick the power switch (which I can do practically unnoticed), and the perfect soundtrack is only seconds away. The only downside is that it doesn't start at the absolute maximum volume, which is the only acceptable volume setting for Europe's "The Final Countdown." But you'll have several seconds to secretly mash the volume-up button before the keyboard riff starts. It has helped me perfect my latest trick: I can make friends and family DISAPPEAR.

Amazing sound. Once I figured out how to get the radio to scan for more stations, this player became almost perfect. -you cannot input a station frequency number, the radio has to "find it" -you cannot search or "random" the music that is on the microSD. You can play the songs in order forward or step back. Those are the only negatives. -holds a charge -very small and lightweight -great sound -can line in from any device Those are just a few of the positives. I am using it with my Kindle and phone. I loaded up a card with a playlist and am using that as well.

You know, we say we love it a lot of times, but, this little radio is really fantastic. The controls are a bit cryptic, and the clock format is the 24-hour variety, but, the radio scans the air and creates all the channels numerically. It found 18 one time, it found 30 another time, and now, every day this week, it finds 29. So, I don't know what the limit is, but, it rocks. The looks are interesting, the light flashing to the music can be interesting at night, too. Yeah, pretty neat. Good thing to have around in a drawer somewhere, or to use in a bathroom. Don't have music on a USB stick anymore. The trend there is to Spotify but, hey, over-the-air TV and radio are FREE! so for $10.02 and FREE we've got all this music :) I love it!

The complaints on this product are ridiculous. Some people said they could not get the MP3 player to work. Your files HAVE to be downloaded in MP3 form. If they are WMA or otherwise, they won't work. Makes sense, as it is an MP3 player. I haven't used the radio yet, but didn't buy it for that feature. The sound is good, and LOUD...............yeah, not a lot of bass, but still just fine. I bought this music player to bring to my barn, I am a horse trainer, I wanted something small to carry around with me and ride (will put it on my pocket, or fashion a holster for it). I hear the battery lasts a long time, I just need a few hours, so I am excited to try it out.

Slick little inexpensive mp3 player . . . . . For the price ($12.50 +$0.99 shipping on amazon.com) it is definitely five stars. It comes with a small user guide which is a sloppy translation to English, but it's concise and understandable. As for the sound, there is some harmonic distortion but not enough to be tiresome and not more than one would expect from a device that costs around thirteen dollars. The distortion can be reduced by setting the volume down and placing the player closer to your ear. It works fine for me when carried in my pocket while working around the house or in the yard. I charged the battery by plugging it into my PC usb port using the cable provided. Then I put all of the mp3 songs that I wanted to play in the root folder on a SanDisk Cruzer Fit from which I had I removed all of the factory delivered programs and folders upon reformatting to FAT32/4096, plugged the Cruzer Fit into the usb port on the player, turned the player on, set the clock, pressed the menu button 'til it came to the USB, and it began to play. The only thing that I don't like is the LED set which flashes inside the transparent case while it is playing, but since I keep it in my pocket while it's playing, that's not a great issue. Perhaps the LED can be turned off - I haven't read all of the user guide yet. Update 11/8/2013: Prompted by a comment from another purchaser indicating that the device would not play mp3 files via an SD card, I purchased a SanDisk 4 GB micro SD, reformatted it to FAT32/4096, copied my mp3 files to the card, inserted in the slot on the TOMTOP, turned the device on and it began playing the songs from the micro SD card. I am not sure why his would not play. Perhaps the factory set format was not compatible or the capacity was to great or there was an extra folder or partition on the card. With regard to turning off the flashing LED, I learned from reading another review that holding down the menu button for several seconds would accomplish that. I tried it and it worked.

This is an amazing little gizmo. Great sound, especially considering the size. I got it to play music from thumb drives I've made and it's doing the job perfectly. A minor downside is that it didn't come with an AC adapter, but I had one from a clip-on lamp that works with this unit's charging cable. Also, there are flashing lights that appear to mimic the tempo of the music, and they are really annoying since I'm playing music for yoga. Am considering covering the clear plastic part of the cube with electrical tape if I can't figure out how to stop them. Even with those two negatives, I still give this 5 stars. It's totally portable, plays from a thumb drive, and sounds great. What a bargain!

I love it . Battery doesn't last long , but you can charge easily. It looks so nice . Sound is clear , you don't need loud for this small device , for louder sound , you should use other stereos . This is good to listen next to your bed , on your table , on your desk , something next to you that only you will hear it , it doesn't bother others around . I love the material , the buttons . For the price , it's worth it , i'm buying lots of them for friends together with my own collection of music in a pen drive or sd card , that makes an unique gift . Yes , it doesn't have shuffle , this is to play music continuously , not knowing what will be next , you can press next buttom many times to play ahead , and start from there . It picks it up where it was left after you turn on/off . I wished it have a shuffle buttom , that would be great ! But for now , it works as it is . The radio is ok , depending on your area , you might need to move the position to get better signal , since i hate radio stations ,i use it for mp3 player basically . I hope this last long , at least 1 year , too bad if stops working soon . Keep going manufacturer , everyone like this cuteness , just make it little better improving little things . The blinking lights are ok because you can turn it off , but it should blink slowly and steady , it blinks awkwardly , fast then slow , then fast again with no clue .

I love this little thing, with TONS of sound for the price and size. My 12 year old daughter got one for Christmas, after I saw and heard what hers could do, I ordered 4 more, in different colors for each person in the house. The great thing about these little things are you can plug them in to a wall for power or charge them and carry them around. I also purchased memory cards for each. Loaded music, radio mystery stories and books on them. So NOW, when I am working in the yard I can listen and as I move on to the side of the house which has no elec, no problem. My husband uses his in the garage working on the cars, the kids will use them as mp3 players in their pockets, but when they get around their friends, they just pulled their earphones out and everyone can listen. Then their friends are shocked at the level of sound. The lights are pretty nice also. A lot of BANG for under $15 dollars. Depending on the color you purchase, dictates the price. I have the green, silver, black, red and pink. I have been contacted a number of times on how to attach the waistlet. So I have added pictures on how to add the waistlet, I hope this helps? IF not, contact me and I will see what I can do.

Wow, what great sound from such a small speaker! I really expected the usual, tinny sound but was pleasantly surprised. I was just looking for an inexpensive mp3 player to couple to an inexpensive amp (Pyle PFA300 90-Watt Class T Hi-Fi Stereo Amplifier with Adapter) as part of the sound system in my Halloween Haunt (and old barn), and this really fills the bill. It's actually loud and clear enough to use without an amp, except I need to direct the sound in a large space. It will be playing a single mp3 in a loop, so the limited control over tracks is not an issue. It's sitting next to me as I type, with Julie London crooning at a volume of 4 (out of 16), and she sounds great. Turned all the way up, there's considerable vibration from the bass, but a very loud number 10 still sounds fine. I'll be putting a few more of these into my cart.

Everything works ok and here are some tips for best results. Hold in the MENU button until the light shuts off. Plug your earbuds into the FM/Line in jack to improve the FM reception. Plug in both the micro sd card and mini usb drive at the same to provide two choices for mp3 audio material. The unit also acts as an external speaker. It will not FAST FORWARD or REWIND, only NEXT. The sound is very good for such an inexpensive unit. Tip: Seal it inside a ziploc freezer bag and play it in the shower.
