Either one of two things happened to get me to actually enjoy dark red wine. I am more mature now then when I was younger, or this product works. I am glad I paid more for this item over another popular aerator, as I am so satisfied with the results from Zazzol that I don't regret spending $10 less and risk being less satisfied. I also made sure to use it the day it arrived since I saw I was missing a lightening deal ($5 off) when I checked the tracking. I don't regret missing the deal and getting it a few days earlier. I will probably throw away the decorative block box it came in, but for now I still have it. Easy to clean as well. Eventually I will try it with white wine, but since I already like white wines without an aerator, I am in no rush.

I purchased the zazzol wine aerator back on Sept. 1, 2017 and decided to wait until I had used it before posting my review. This is my review. While I give the zazzol wine aerator 5-Stars, it is with one minor hiccup. The hiccup is with a leaky seal between the top and bottom sections of the aerator. Although it is not a major leak, wine does work its way through the thread of the two sections then finally out onto ones hand. According to the zazzol, if I register on their website (as a VIP member), I can get lifetime warranty. Hopefully, I will get a replacement seal at no cost. Conclusion: I have used it virtually every night since it was delivered. Great product! It is the best aerator I have ever owned.

My girlfriend is a semi-professional wine drinker. (She knows the meaning of words like "tannins" and "phenolic compounds" - things I have never heard before.) Anyway, she enjoys wine and was lacking a device to aerate. So I purchased this one for her to use when she pours herself some wine. As I should have known, now I get to use it whenever she wants wine and I pour her wine for her. It makes a cool slurping noise and it makes me giggle. I love it. And I guess it does have an effect on the structure of the wine, as well. Personally, I can't taste the difference. But that's probably because when I try to taste the difference, I've had a few drinks of scotch in between the samples. On a serious note, It's a solid design and comes apart completely for cleaning. It arrives in a really nice box, as well. Very professional follow-up service from Zazzol. They make sure you're happy with the purchase, which we are.

I am one of those few unlucky buyers of the Zazzol that received a product that had a slight leak where the device screws together. So, I emailed them asking what I could do. The owner, Jill Taylor, responded back immediately and took care of the problem very quickly with no muss or fuss. There were always be those few lemons for any product but rest assured that Jill will make it right if you get one. She definitely stands behind her product! That is the reason for my five-star rating. That being said, I think the product works perfectly as intended. Other reviewers have expressed that the Zazzol does nothing to open up the wine. I think it does but, of course, opinions on this tend to be objective. I doubt that you wind any other aerator on the market that works any better than the Zazzol.

Works great. Took it on a cruise and it was easy to travel with, carry to dinner, and use discreetly with the nice travel bag. Shipping was fast and I got a nice thank you note with it, along with the very attractive gift box. I bought it to remove sulfites from white wine (not sure if you can really tell if it's doing that or not, although the wine looks slightly different after running it through) but my friends who used it with red wine said they could tell a significant improvement in the taste of the wine after using. The way it's goes together in the travel bag does a good job of protecting the parts as well. It made it through all the travel without a scratch.

I misplaced the aerator that I had so I needed another one. I had one that plugged into the top of the bottle. This had great reviews so I decided to try it. I like it very much. I liked the old one that plugged into the top of the bottle. This one is less convenient because it stays separate from the bottle since I usually use it on one bottle at a time, but it is better for using with multiple bottles at the same event. I took it to Thanksgiving dinner with the family and my mom loved it so I bought one for her for Christmas. I highly recommend this.

I bought this as a gift for my wife. A few months ago at a restaurant in our area, our server showed us the benefits of their decanter. It was a very simple test - try the wine before and after use of the decanter. It was clear to both of us that the wine tasted better from their decanter (and aerator). As my wife enjoys a glass of wine with dinner, this was an easy gift decision. Ah! But does it work as well as the one at the restaurant? Its a very simple test - taste the wine before and after. As noted in the product description and in the other reviews, there is that unmistakable gurgling sound as the wine pours through the Zazzol wine aerator decanter. The before and after tasting clearly showed an improvement in the taste AFTER the wine was poured through this device. This was true regardless of the price of the wine. As we drink wine by the glass, its perfect for us. And it's much easier to store than an aerator decanter designed for a full bottle of wine.

While the packaging was slightly dirty and imperfect (it even had weird stringy glue strands and a bit of dust on the inside of the gift box) both times that I ordered this, the contents were in normal/new condition. I liked my original wine aerator by another very popular brand at near the same price point of the Zazzol and figured that this one might be better because it probably wouldn't leak at the sides as much and it had a much larger opening to pour wine into. The wine aerator works fine, mostly like the other one I had which completely changed darker wines for me. If you spend the money on wine, you should at least have a decent wine aerator to enjoy the full flavor (or wait with it open for hours I guess). I would highly recommend it as a gift because it looks very high-end and comes in that nice gift box in the picture (even though the packaging was kind of dirty, just open the magnetic flap on the box first and check for stringy glue or whatever before you give it to anyone). The first time I bought this, it was a gift for a couple that enjoys wine and was literally told that it was the "best gift that they had ever gotten."

It doesn't seem possible that such a simple device could improve wine this much. OMG I'm a huge wine lover and don't know why I never bought one of these before. I've been missing out! One sip of the wine after pouring it through this device and I was sold. The wine tastes so much smoother and fuller. It almost feels creamy in my mouth. I would never have believed it if I didn't experience it myself. I've had wine with friends who used a similar device, but it was nothing like this (one of my friends who thinks he is cool always makes us taste the wine with and without his device, and guess which is which, so I know his does not make as much difference as this one does!) The company sent a thank-you card with information in case I needed customer service. I recommend this product to anyone who likes to drink red wine. I haven't tried it with white.

My old wine aerator finally broke after 3 years and it was time for a new one. After, reading the positive reviews, I decided to go with the Zazzol aerator. It comes in a nice black case which you can use to transport it with you and if your prefer you can use the included pouch. It comes with a a rubber stand, so when it's in standby mode it sits securely on the table. The Zazzol comes with a thank you note, nice touch. Simple to use, just hold it over your glass and pour, it's easy as that. When your pour the wine it first hits the umbrella piece, the first stage. The wine then cascades down to the aeration plate that has 32 holes for the wine to enter, the last stage is the wine leaving the Zazzol to your cup, it's amazing how much air gets in to the wine. The gurgling noise lets you know that air is getting mixed in. What separates this from the rest is that it comes apart for cleaning, you take off the umbrella piece, pull out the center column, remove the rubber ring around the aeration plate. Next, unscrew the top and bottom of the aerator body which, separates the aluminum ring. Last part is, taking out the plastic ring from the top of the aerator body. The Zazzol is dish washer safe. Personally, I wash it by hand. I liked it so much I ordered 5 more for family, makes a great Christmas gift.
