Makala the cat and crown prince tuna
My cat is fussy. I have tried all cat food on the market, so decided to try the tongol tuna. She really loves it I would rate it exceptional because she finally likes something.

Excellent Tuna - not so salty
I've always purchased a low fat and "very low salt" variety of canned tuna with only 35 milligrams of sodium, since I find the regular tuna with its high salt content to taste something like "brine". However, we recently moved to a new area and the local grocer does not carry the low salt variety, so I found this on Amazon and thought I would try it. It does indeed have a very low sodium content, no fat, and tastes delicious. This will be a regular staple from now on.

Very good tuna
Tongol tuna, a small species, is considered to be very low in mercury. Crown Prince is a good brand. The meat is dense, and very flavorful. I buy a case every month. The pop open can is audible and my cat comes running for the drained juice. She loves it. It is delicious to even eat plain. Makes a heavenly sandwich.

A winner
Much healthier than the usual white meat tunas and I find it tastier, as well. This type of tuna has less mercury than white meat tunas. And this particular product also has no salt added. Even though packed in water, it is not as dry as white meat, and I eat it without mixing in mayonnaise or similar products. A winner all the way.

No Salt Option
I love this stuff and I'm so glad to have a source of low-sodium tuna. You don't miss the salt at all!

Cheaper than Tongol Tuna cat food, more healthy, and perhaps tastier :)
Great price for the very best and most healthy tuna with no salt added. At about $22 with subscribe and save for 12 5 oz cans, it would come to less than $6 per pound. While more expensive than the $1.00 cans at the grocery store, it's a very good buy for tongol tuna. If you compare it to the "tongol tuna in broth" cat food here on Amazon, which is $12 for 10 2 oz trays, you'll see what a bargain it is. That cat food is over $9 a pound :) Your cats would probably welcome the cheaper upgrade! Felines aside, it's delish, we love it!

Tastes good, no BPA worries!
Tastes good, slightly less salty than regular tuna, so my husband at first said he didn't like it as well. When I told him I bought it because of the BPA in regular tuna cans, he agreed it's good. Our toddler granddaughter has a tuna sandwich with us once a week, so the absence of BPA is important to us.

Tuna Steak
This is without a doubt the best tuna you can get in a can (or pouch). Open a can and you will find a steak that is bigger than the opening with very little water (or salt). Seriously, you have to pry the meat out and break it up. Unlike the common store brands that I now find are just compressed tuna pieces in brine soup. Do yourself a favor and try this Tuna!

Tuna
Tongol tuna has the lowest mercury content of any tuna. Most tuna species are quite large and therefore near the top of the food-chain, but Tongol is a much smaller fish and much lower on the food-chain. Because of that difference, much less mercury [which is fat-soluble] gets concentrated in the meat. If you eat canned tuna, eat Tongol. It's the safest kind of tuna.
