I simply love this maple sugar
Oh my, I simply love this maple sugar! It is absolutely delicious. It is just maple syrup in sugar form, in the shape of small candies. Think of it as maple sugar, instead of candy, and it makes more sense. If you love real maple syrup -- you'll love this. But if you don't like real maple syrup, and like the maple-flavored sugar imitations better -- this probably won't be for you. Our family grew up on real maple syrup, whenever we could get it, Mom always said the real stuff was healthier for us, she was right. I actually love this more than chocolate! (most of the time!) If I get a craving for something sweet, I can break one of these little maple leaves into about 3 pieces, and slowly eat 1/3 of a piece, for very few calories, and it doesn't leave me craving more and more, like chocolate does. I'm just content with a small piece. Pure maple syrup/sugar has a lot of trace minerals, that regular sugar doesn't, not even agave or honey packs in minerals like maple syrup, not even close. I just wish this company sold bigger boxes of this! Absolutely delicious! Thank you to Butternut Mountain Farms, for making such a wonderful product, and for this lovely treat. I've made this box last two weeks, sort of rationing it out, and I'm going to have to order more!

Melts in your mouth!! So good!!
Used to live in New Hampshire and would love to get these candies up in the mountain area's. Haven't found anything that brings back the good taste until I bought these!!! Highly recommend them they literally melt in your mouth. Will be buying lots more! Thanks for bringing back some good tastes from my childhood and making such a great product.

Not For Everyone, Which Means More For Me!
I looked at some of the other reviews and have come to realize that this candy is not enjoyable for everyone. If you're trying it for the first time, it might be a very different experience for you, but I grew up on this stuff and I love it! There were other reviews that complained about the "graininess" of the texture (that it wasn't creamy like some other brands). The problem with the more creamy brands is that they are usually not pure maple - they are combined with other substances to give them the smoother texture (such as pure cane sugar). While I can also appreciate a smoother texture, the other mixed ingredient brands don't compare to the pure maple flavor you get from this brand. To those of you who hate the taste of this product, it doesn't mean other people won't enjoy it. Don't give it one star because of your personal palate preferences - that's not the fault of this product.

As much as I want to leave a horrible review so other buyers don't find out what an amazing treat this candy is, I can't out of respect to the families that work to produce real maple products. This is the real deal, pure maple sugar that I grew up on when a treat was called for. It's a bit crunchy if bitten, and melts if savored. This isn't the local grocery stores maple flavored syrup and well worth the money.

Delicious candy!
This maple syrup candy was introduced to me at the Vermont County Store during a trip to New England this Fall. If you don't know it, Vermont is the maple syrup capital of the U.S.A. Eating this Butternut Mountain Farm Maple Sugar Candy is like visiting Vermont all over again. I was ecstatic to discover I could buy this candy on Amazon! Among my friends, I am considered "a health nut." This candy suits me to a T. The only sweetener is pure organic maple syrup. Everyone who has been fortunate enough to taste this candy I have offered them has raved about it. Unfortunately, I have been very selective with whom I will share this candy. I usually eat most of it myself.

This is a tasty and affordable way to get my maple syrup candy fix. It's crisp on the outside and amazingly creamy on the inside, with a true maple flavor. I get at least four bites from each piece, so it's a diet bargain for about 30 calories. It's so rich that one piece satisfies me, and that says a lot since I have a huge sweet tooth.

5 years looking for this flavor
About 6 yrs ago I tasted this particular flavor and have been trying to find it again ever since. What's different about this scrumptious brand is that it's made similarly to a truffle--that is, hard crystal outside and soft cream inside. The combination of textures gives it a stronger maple taste compared to most candies. Eureka! I've tried a dozen or more brands and am downright thrilled to have found this unforgettable (and addictive) taste and texture. One other thing: if you're crazy about Trader Joe's maple sugar candy, know that this is the actual source. Thanks to Amazon, it's available year round instead of Oct-Dec at TJ's. But let's keep that part a secret amongst just ourselves....

Continuing a childhood Christmas memory tradition with my own children...
So yummy. So creamy. A good price and delivery was fast for this wonderful Maple Syrup Candy. When I got Maple Syrup Candy in my Christmas stocking as a kid, I would always pop one in my mouth immediately, saving the rest to savor one-a-day until sadly, I ran out. But from the first to the last piece, the sumptuous flavor of the mighty Maple melted over the tongue, until there was left the wonderful granular sugar that would roll around until at last, they too would disappear across satiated taste buds. Butternut Mountain Farm delivered a sweet childhood memory to me to share with my own children. I am so glad to have found such a good source and am already looking forward to next Christmas, and so are my kids!

Just like I remember--maple sugar candy
Love these little candies. They remind me of my younger days when we tapped our maple trees and brought the sap to a neighbor who boiled it down and made into syrup and candies. I am so glad we are still able to find these. Thank you for providing this wonderful product. All packaged nicely and sitting in my pantry.

Delicious!
When I was a kid, my grandmother used to get me and my sisters a small box of maple sugar candy to celebrate the holidays. I hadn't had it in years. When I came across it on Amazon, I thought I would give it another try. The package arrived promptly, and the candy was wonderful. It brought back so many memories! I wouldn't recommend eating it every day, because it is extremely sweet, but as a special treat every once in a while, it fits the bill big time.
