Awesome Griddle!
I bought this to replace my griddle I had for 12 years or so...this one is awesome! Love the separate parts of it and that they are all washable! The double sided griddle is very convenient. The surface area is large enough for me to make all my bacon in about 2 batches instead of the 8 batches before! For the most part it heats pretty evenly all over...just have to make sure you let it heat up completely (otherwise here are hot spots shown). 1/2 star reduced only because you have to ensure you have the space for storage. I have to store the base separately from the drip pan and griddle...no biggie, but could be an issue for someone with little to no extra storage space. Love the ceramic coating - nothing sticks, unless you don't let it heat up completely.

Cooks evenly
So, I researched grills quite a bit on Amazon before purchasing this one. I was getting one for my husband and what was important to us was even heating. This had the most reviews that said it heated things evenly and that is accurate. We can cook four large grilled cheese sandwiches at a time and quite a lot pancakes on this, with nice even heating. I recommend this grill. Careful when flipping something over for the first time. It's super non-stick and your pancakes or other food may go flying!

Best griddle / grill EVER!!!
We love this griddle / grill combo!!! It cooks evenly and the non-stick surface is almost too slick for us. The edges of the plate are only about a half inch, or less, high. So sometimes we end up pushing the bacon or pancakes off of the griddle on accident because it's soooo non-stick. Think playing hockey with pancakes and a spatula. I think we are just used to having to fight to get the food off our previous non-stick cooking pans and it will just take some getting used to on our part. It heats up really fast. It's almost immediate. The drip pan goes the entire length of the tray, so it catches a lot of grease. Also, it's so easy to clean. It seems to be really easy to wipe off in the sink. Haven't put it in the dishwasher yet because I haven't needed to. We have not used the grill side, but plan on using it for hamburgers at some point. I researched all the grills online and found this one to be the best in function and most affordable for the price. So far, I can not find anything negative to say about this product or the seller. I'll be sure to update my review if I ever find anything.

Cooks evenly, easy to clean
I bought this skillet after reading other reviews that said this model cooks evenly. I had previously been disappointed with a Farberware skillet that cooked very unevenly, so this was important to me. This model did not disappoint. When cooking French toast or pancakes, there was no noticeable difference in browning between the edges and the middle. I also like that the griddle easily disconnects from the base, making it very easy to clean. I definitely recommend this skillet!

I love my Oster Grill/Griddle
I have been using my DuraCeramic Reversible Grill and Griddle at least once each week for more than two months now and couldn't be happier. It heats evenly, cleans easily and is so versatile. The included booklet says nothing about cooking times so here are the settings I use: For eggs, bacon, and hamburgers I set the control to 325 degrees. For chops and ham I use 350 degrees. I grill fish or cook pancakes at 400 degrees and steaks at 425. Its important to preheat the grill/griddle before use. You can't expect fast or even cooking on a cold appliance. Cleanup is easy; I use paper towels to wipe cooking residue off the surface of the grill/griddle and grill pan and then wash all three pieces in hot soapy water with a soft sponge. My appliance still looks like new and does a great job of cooking. Even the whitefish was tender, flaky and didn't stick.

Initially the grill was great to use
Initially the grill was great to use. However, after several months everything started to stick to the grill, no matter what type of oil or butter that was used. Eggs are impossible to cook without sticking. Looking up the reviews on the Oster site, confirmed that many others have had the same issue. I have updated my review for this griddle. Oster has agreed to replace the griddle with a newer version. Hopefully, they have improved the surface on the new grill. Their customer service was quite receptive to my issues with the griddle.

Best griddle I have owned!
This is the best griddle I have ever owned! I had a nonstick griddle ages ago. It was the kid with tall sides (maybe 3") so that you could also use it for making casseroles and things. I found the sides very awkward for trying to make pancakes or anything else you would want to flip over. I got rid of it and decided to use a nonstick flat griddle pan. Then I got an induction cook top and couldn't use the griddle pan anymore. My mom has an old stainless steel griddle that she has used for over 30 years. It has held up remarkably well so that's what I was looking for when I decided to get something for my counter top. I have switched all my other cooking pans over to stainless steel. I don't want to use nonstick that scratches and leaches into your food anymore (especially not since having children). I was having trouble finding a griddle that wasn't coated with some traditional nonstick surface, but then I came across this ceramic griddle and decided to give it a try. This griddle is fabulous! I didn't know if I believed that it would be nonstick, but I really haven't had a problem at all. I am using a silicone spatula just to be sure I don't scratch the surface. I have not tried the grill side yet, but I'm sure I would be equally impressed. I hope this griddle lasts me for over 30 years like my mom's has lasted for her!

I love this grill and here are the reasons why
Here is an unbiased rundown of the facts about this. It's a stove, food warmer, grill, fat trapper, buffet warmer, is dishwasher safe, and heats all the way up to 450 degrees. It's powerful so you never get the grey meat you can get when it cooks too slow at too low a heat. This sears meat to perfection. There is an aluminum bottom that has the heating element embedded in the center of it. There aren't any cool spots. The heat is even and goes all the way out to the edges. Since the heat goes all the way up to 450, the meat is carmelized and seared. If your meat isn't being carmelized as it cooks you are losing flavor. I made a vegitarian dinner on this grill. I cooked carrots, brussel sprouts cut in half, peppers, onions, asperagus, mushrooms, tomatoes, plus I even put some pineapple chunks on this briefly and it was all delicious. I blanched the carrots and brussel sprouts for ten seconds before putting them on the grill. They all came out with beautiful grill marks, so good. I never cook chicken with skin but I got a small cut up chicken, left the skin on, and cooked it on this and most of the fat drained off, and it was crisp on the outside with the marks, and moist and tender on the inside. I put two ears of corn on at the same time. No grease sits in a pan, it all drains away. Barbecue sauce didn't drip through this like it does on open grills. I would love to have another one for dinner parties so I can cook more food. Nothing ever sticks to this. I can use my metal utensils on it without scratching it. I like that they make a point of saying how this doesn't contain any harmful chemicals. I made one huge pancake on the griddle side of this, spreading the batter all the way to the edges. I put a lot of berries in the batter as it cooked. I then rolled it up while still on the grill and it was evenly browned all the way to the edges, and I served it with some strawberry sauce and whipped cream, cut into slices. You can fit six grilled cheese sandwiches on the griddle. This will be nice in the winter when it's too cold to grill outside. I happen to really like this grill. I can't find anything to complain about at all with it and while it isn't a large grill it's a medium sized one which fits my needs. Everything I've made on it has been delicious. And I love how I can put it in the dishwasher too. It's tastier and easier than trying to fry things in a pan on the stove. In fact, it's way better tasting. Tonight I will be cooking wild salmon on this with some corn and tomato slices. In fact lately I've been cooking all my dinners on this. If I could find a negative I would report it here but I can't. I really do love it.

Nice Grill
I wanted an indoor grill since going outside to use the BBQ in winter isn't always advisable in the climate I live in. I completely rid myself from all the traditional non stick coatings on everything in my home. I have a ceramic coated frying pan that I love very much and was pleased to finally find a grill with a ceramic coating. The only thing missing is a cover like you would have on a BBQ, but I improvise and use a piece of tin foil with some holes in it. It is very easy to clean, just use a rag with soap and water, no scrubbing necessary. There's also an aluminum drip tray below the grill to catch the grease and juices. I just fill it up with water before using the grill then nothing sticks to it. Makes for easy cleanup. So far I've cooked steaks, chicken and pork chops on it and was very pleased with the results. It's not a replacement for the outdoor BBQ, but it's a close second.

My wife wanted to get an electric non stick griddle for quick Sunday Brunch's
I have been hesitant about getting "non stick" anything these day's. With the scares about links to cancer etc. My wife wanted to get an electric non stick griddle for quick Sunday Brunch's etc. I have a Very good Cast Iron Griddle that goes on the stove, however it takes a long time to prepare the griddle to cook and clean up is a bit of a pain. I was very happy to find this Oster Griddle. Pro's: Non Stick Large grease pan Good surface area Fast heating Dishwasher safe Everything can be washed except the heating control. I have used metal pancake turners on this with out issue. Con's: Some of the grease can get past the pan onto the counter. No splash guard Sometimes you need to use Baking Soda to clean the surface. By far the Pro's outweigh the Cons
