LOVE for my kids of different ages

This is a great, mess free way for your kids to color. My 18 month old and my 3 year old love these. The water pens are easy to fill up and get started. Just squeeze the tube a little to get the water flowing and off you go! The colors are bright and there is a variety of fun pages with hidden pictures that the kids will find while coloring. I love that they are so easy to use for either of my kids, and they both really enjoy them. Its mess free - other than a little bit of water. The brushes are easy to use and it takes minimal water to get the colors to come through, so you don't have to soak them (of course, your kids might soak them anyway). The pages are cardboard, so I would suggest drying them a little before you put them away to prevent them from getting damaged, but they do dry pretty quickly. The books have a plastic covering that you can store the pen in. This is a great idea, especially for kids at different levels of coloring ability because the little ones can keep up with the big kids, and the big kids can look for the hidden pictures and practice their letters and colors.

These are the absolute greatest books!

These books are one of the smartest inventions out there today ... these books are perfect for toddlers who are still trying to master their dexterity & are excited by colors/water/making messes but WITHOUT the mess! You just fill the little plastic pen with water and screw it shut and let your little one have at it. The pages dry quickly so they can have fun all over again in a few minutes and reuse the book as many times as they want. These are a DREAM for car or plane trips to keep them occupied for extended periods of time. I also love that as they get bigger they can practice their letters and numbers, so it doubles as a terrific learning tool. We're not letting our little one play with ipads or iphones, so this also is a great alternative for parents who are looking for options that are a little more hands on and creative. :)

Brilliant!

I got this set for my two year old in anticipation of a long flight to Cameroon and I am so glad I did. He loves these books! You fill the pen with water and basically "paint" over the picture and it colors in and more details show up. Then as the cardboard dries, the colors go away and you can start all over. Super easy! We take these out to dinner or any sort of event where our little guy has to sit still for a while and they keep him occupied for a good 15 minutes which is a life time for us! Very cool product!

We have the vehicle one that given as a gift from the M-I-L and we LOVE it. My son isn't very good at coloring yet (he's 2) so he loves that he can "scribble" and a nice picture forms. He loves the challenges too ("find all the hats"). I love that the "pen" is water, so I can sit him down unsupervised for a few minutes while I get laundry or dishes started and don't come back to crayon on the walls (ask me how I know...). Also GREAT for restaurants. There aren't multiple crayons that will roll off the table. Just the water pen/brush, and it packs neatly/nicely back within the package for easy transport, and doesn't get lost. If you color the whole book, the first page is usually dry by the time you get to the end, so they can do to again (and again and again). So in love with the orig I decided to see if there were more, and I found this multipack. PERFECT! Now I can keep one in each car (mine/hubby's), in my purse or the diaper bag, and one at home. At 2 he's more into the picture ones more than letter numbers, but I figure he'll "grow into" those...

Fantastic Product

I had purchased several other paint with water books for my Grandson, who lives out of state. Since I have the sweetest daughter-in-law in the world, she would never say anything except positive reports of all the things I send. I was preparing to buy more of the same for their visit, when I happened to read a very negative review of the books I had previously sent and recommending these. I love when buyers do that. I bought these instead. I am sooo happy I did. My 3 year old grandson LOVED them! My son was also impressed with the books. And my daughter-in-law was more enthusiastic in her praise than she was with the first paint with water books. Pretty sure that meant a BIG thumbs up from her, too. They are easy for a child to use, not messy at all and convenient enough to travel with. I am buying more of these.

Perfect for car trips, old brush can be fixed

Wonderful for car trips with 3 year old. Pros: 1. Refillable (just needs water). 2. When the water dries out, the color goes away, and it can be painted again. 3. Since it's just water, no need to worry about messes. 4. You can use other water sources (paintbrush with water, water pen, etc.). 5. Lightweight--not a big concern if it gets thrown in the car. Cons: 1. After hours of use, book does start to warp and get marks on it. (Still very usable, in my opinion.) 2. For young kids, if too much pressure is used (or they chew on it), the brush gets splayed. If your brush does get splayed, one way to improve it that worked for us is (I included photos): 1. Boil a cup of water. 2. Right after it stops boiling, dip the brush in the water for about 10-15 seconds. 3. Tightly and smoothly wrap the brush using a twist-tie (use a flat, newer one, and it's easier to wrap from the center of the tie, not the end). 4. Allow to dry completely (overnight is great). 5. Unwrap. Overall, I highly recommend.

Fantastic for little kids on vacations or at home!

Love these! I bought this for a vacation we went on. It's great for a plane because there are not a million crayons or markers that will fall on the floor. The pen can be filler in the airplane bathroom when you board or in the airport bathroom after you get through security before you board if you want to use it while you wait for the plane (we were too busy looking at the planes out the window). We also used it on a cruise ship and at the grandparent's house. A few months later, my not quite 3 year-old still plays with these almost daily. It's fabulous that the pages dry white and are reusable! It's great that he doesn't have to worry about coloring in the lines. The colors are vibrant and there are lots of fun things hidden on the page that you don't see until you "color" the page (like birds in trees). They appear when the water is on the page. I can't recommend these enough. We have a bunch. Just be careful not to lose the pens. My son accidentally tore a couple off of the cover before I got them out of the plastic.

They dry! You can use them over and over

I'm very pleased with these, I was plesently surprised to find out it isn't a one time thing. Once they dry they turn white again. The colors are pretty decent too!

Unbelievable!!

My 3yo will actually sit quietly for 30minutes and color through one book. Photos show how color comes out, a few painting examples, a few of the page drying (takes about 15min to dry completely) and the two compartment painter. This truly is no mess and entertaining for children. Absolutely MUST BUY!!

You want this!

My kids love these. We're talking hours of entertainment = awesome. Especially in the car to Grandma's when they're bored and I don't want a huge mess in the back seat. I love that it's just water = no mess! Best part is, it dries quickly and they can reuse it. I'm definitely going to be stocking up on these (because after about the 300th time, I've noticed it wearing out a little). One thing (and I'm pretty sure the instructions say this...) be sure you empty the pen before storing it back in the plastic holder. My daughter left hers full and the pen dripped, soaking the front cardboard cover. Not a big deal - it did tear the plastic storage thing out because the cardboard got too wet, but it didn't ruin the book or anything. You want to buy these.
