Handy portable sewing kit. It even has a very nice seam ripper!

This is the cutest little sewing kit! I have it in each of my vacation rental properties. It has everything you need for small repairs. It even has a very nice seam ripper. The only thing that is not ideal is the set of needles, which all have eyes that are way too small. I ordered a set of Dritz large eye needles to go with it. It's a great gift for friends and family. I love the case it comes in, which zippers all the way around. This is so much nicer than the plastic boxes that some sewing kits come in, which can crack or break easily. I'm thinking of buying an extra one for myself to keep in the office.

Wel I got it to sew up my pants because thats all I ever wear here at the hospital I got a broken back a broken neck and a broken collarbone so to be perfectly honest I get the nurses to do it for me and they just love it....although I think they would prefer that I do the sewing.....but I always supervise the sewing job its a lot harder than it sounds considering I dont know what their doing...they never use the thimble they dont use the thing for sticking string through the needle.....well they really love the kit and say its a great kit!

A nice little travel kit.

A very nice kit for the price. I travel for a living and I needed a small kit for emergencies. My only requirements were decent thread, small scissors that work, a few needles and a zip up case. This fit the bill and more. The thread seems to be a better quality then you generally get in this type of kit. The scissors actually cut thread. What a concept right?!

Wonderful Sewing Kit with Outstanding Customer Service

There are not enough positive words to describe how pleased I am with this sewing kit and the customer service I received from Handcrafted Goods! The sewing kit is filled with quality items in a compact "kit". The items are NOT inexpensive plastic items often found in travel sewing kits. I travel often for work and am quite confident that I will now have the items required if I need to "fix" a clothing item. I had some difficulty with the delivery of this item. Unfortunately Amazon customer service was not very helpful. However, Handcrafter Goods contacted me and resolved the problem quickly and professionally. I would purchase again from Handcrafted Goods without any hesitation!

Very convenient

Everyone always ask if I have a sewing kit at work. Well, now I do. This has many essential items, extra threads, safety pins (always needed), needles, scissors, seam ripper, measuring tape, needle threader, and even thimble and extra buttons, all packed into one convenient case.

They aren't kidding about being the best sewing kit

I don't sew and have little experience doing it, but I needed a kit to attempt to fix a button on my shorts. This kit has everything I could imagine necessary to do any future button or other clothing repairs. The free e-book is a nice touch, but I could not understand or follow some of the instructions very well (e.g. how to tie a knot on the thread). Fortunately, there are plenty of resources online that explains things better and even include video tutorials. I really like how neat and compact the kit is as well, makes it easy to keep organized. Highly recommend.

Great for everyday repairs

I ordered this as a replacement for my old sewing kit. My old one was one of the cheap plastic box type. 3 needles in some foil, a few rolls of thread, you know the drill. This sewing kit has a sturdy zipper pack, I was hesitant at first because I thought this kit would be soft and cheaply made. Not so. Most of the supplies are standard fo a small sewing kit except this kit has more choices of thread color, a well made measuring tape, two threaders instead of one, and my favorite part - a full selection of needles. The day this arrived I used the largest needle to sew up a rip on my work chair. The needle went through without any trouble. Next I repaired a few of my daughter's doll dresses with one of the thin needles. Today I repaired my son's shorts and will be repairing my oldest daughter's SpongeBob pillow. This kit is perfect for any person that might need to carry a small kit in their purse, traveling, or would fit great into a camping/survival kit. It won't fall open and you won't lose anything. The kit arrived quickly and in good condition. The packaging was great, no tears or damage. I will definitely buy another of these instead of ever buying one of the cheap plastic box type. I will buy from this seller again. ***Updating to say I'm still using the tools in this kit. The threaders are a bit weak, but most are. Mine broke, but I use this kit every few days. It has come in really handy as I don't have a sewing machine right now. Can't even list how many things I've mended with this.

Great little emergency sewing kit for a beginner

Great little sewing kit and I was surprised by the bonus ebook! I purchased this for my son as he recently called me from several states away asking if he could bring clothing missing buttons home at Christmas for me to fix. So this little sewing kit was in his Christmas stocking and before he left, we had a little sewing lesson on the items in the kit and re-attaching a button! And he now has the ebook for emergencies between visits home to Mom :) This little kit has all the tools necessary for any quick repair. I love that it came in a zippered pouch as opposed to the old hard plastic boxes. Much more attractive and easy to travel with.

good investment

I have noticed how annoying it is when you rip that one thing off, or that button comes off and you have no way of really putting it back on or together. Took me long enough to get this all in one kit, plenty of spares, plenty of variety. I used it to fix some light leather gloves because my dog bit me and put a hole in it... That was not fun, but at least I sealed that memory for good, haha. Also I have a blue sun shelter that I can finally fix, going to need that for the beach!
