Excellent budget alternative to official amazon case

I bought this as a replacement case for Amazon Kindle Paperwhite Case - Lightest and Thinnest Protective Genuine Leather Cover with Auto Wake/Sleep for Amazon Kindle Paperwhite, Onyx Black, which I stained, because I could not justify spending almost the value of the device on cases (original plus replacement) alone. Compared to the official case: The Good/comparable: -The design! The map design ("Map A") is classic, which I like because I am deliberate about buying items that I won't be sick of in a year, but it stands out from all of my other black/grey covered electronics in a subtle way that reminds me to pick it up and read -Adds good grip to the kindle device because of the textured surface -Open and close features function correctly - opening the cover wakes the device, closing the cover puts it to sleep and keeps it closed. I haven't noticed any battery issues. Cover folds behind kindle easily when reading. -Adds very little bulk. Thickness is similar/comparable to original case. -Durability. I throw it in my bag, which includes keys, pens etc, and I use it about 1 - 2 hours a day. No scratches. Kindle is still securely in place and in great condition. -The fit is secure. Kindle feels very secure and gives a reassuring click when in place, and I am able to get the device out with a little bit of effort (ie push down firmly on the bezel while pulling on the opening for the power cord/wake buttons, but how often are you really doing this?). Charging port and and power button cut out is generous/fitting (see photos). Minor drawbacks: -It is not as soft as the official case, which has texture but has a slightly more soft/plush feeling in the hand (synthetic vs genuine leather) -The silver clasp w/ the kindle logo is replaced with an outward bump, but the MoKo logo is nicely unobtrusive on the inside cover (see photos). -Slightly different design than pictured. It looks like it was cut out of a larger pattern and the piece of the pattern you get might not be exactly the piece of map depicted in the picture - (see photos). Overall, the stylish item delivers on its promises and on a budget. If you feel comfortable with the expected superficial differences that do not affect the overall functionality, then this is a great budget alternative to official case that makes you want to pick up your kindle and read. Good protective case with a bit of a disguise built in

Really nice protective cover for my kindle. Be warned that the disguise is really effective, so someone probably wont know that you left a 100 dollar E-reader behind until they pick it up. The cover is magnetic and auto wakes the screen as well as auto sleeps. If you are like me and saved that extra 20 dollars by just letting amazon hit me with adds on the lock screen, you no longer have to even see them. The whole time that add is on the screen, the cover is shut, and when you open the case, the add is already gone. I almost kind of miss the adds because it was always a sort of surprise what the next one would be, oh well. The kindle snaps in tight, and won't come out unexpectedly, and the cover does stay shut even when bounced around in my bag for a few days. It does add a little weight and size to the kindle, as would any case so just be aware of that, and you will have to figure out where is most comfortable for you to hold the cover, which I found to be a little in the way. I really wish it stuck to the back of the case magnetically too to keep it out of the way

Can I give it 6 stars?!

I love it. I love love love it. I got the black color, and to my surprise the material has held up amazingly well to my rough handling of my kindle. I've been disappointed time and time again with cheap cases that chip and peel, not to mention that are bulky and unattractive. THIS case is so slim, it's like there's nothing on it at all, and the magnetic closure and smart feature that turns it on when you open the cover.. everything about it is convenient and just great. No annoying straps holding down the corners like most cases have (I always found those distracting while reading). I would recommend this wholeheartedly over ANY other case out there, it's affordable, it's light as air, the material on the inside is so smooth and comfortable to hold, and it looks great, so no complaints at all! Thank you for making this! Seriously!

Best Kindle case ever: just like a Fintie but a little lower price

Best Kindle case I've ever had. Slim and compact, but provides all the protection I need for my Kindle. It is lightweight, and adds almost no bulk at all to the kindle. It is a form-fitting hard sleeve. I like the magnetic closure that turns it off when closed, and it STAYS closed. The cover flips back completely, and it's easy to hold and tap with just one hand. The inside is a soft micro-velvet, so there are no marks of any kind on the face of the Kindle. The charging cord fits easily, so I never have to remove the case. I bought the red, and it's a true Crayola red -- not pink or purple. I've had it 8 months now, and it's held up very well - no marks or scuffs or scratches, in spite of constant use and being tossed into countless bags. I've often thrown it into a purse or pool bag with a water bottle or wet towel, and it has weathered it all beautifully. Easily wipes clean. I've since bought another one for my son, who is *very* hard on things, as you might expect from a boy. My other son has a Fintie case, and it is indistinguishable from this one. (He just liked the color choice better.) Otherwise, they are identical in form and feature. Overall, this is the best deal, as it was a few bucks less. Couldn't be happier with the look, feel and price.

Looks legit even up close!

The reason I got this design was so that my Kindle would be less noticed. It works! Everyone who has caught a glimpse inside while I'm reading are shocked to see that it is not a paper book. I have this in the Dominican Republic while working in the Peace Corps and it has stood up the humidity as well. After 18 months extensive use, It is just starting to show a little looseness in the fold. I usually have it flipped completely behind it when reading inside, but leave it looking like a book when sitting where the kids of the neighborhood are. Tablets and cellphones are starting to appear in this community, and are often broken shortly after, so I don't need anyone thinking I have electronics.

Great case

This is a very nice slim fitting case at a very nice price. The case doesn't add top much bulk or weight to the kindle paperwhite. The cover folds back and the magnet puts the kindle to standby or wakes it up.

Excellent customer service dealing with durability issues.

I bought this case a year ago and loved it until six months ago. At that point the white edge beading started to separate from the front cover and the edge of the cover, evidently some sort of stiff paper product started to fray It has continued to degrade to the point that the lifting tab on the cover is quite separated. I should point out that the vast majority of my reading is at home. As a senior with health problems, I do not have an active lifestyle. Even at the reasonable price point I would have expected more than a year's use from an item of this type. It is still functional and I will use it until it's appearance becomes embarrassing. The vendor contacted me immediately upon release of my review in order to make good on their warranty. This level of customer service is rare. I assume that the item that I received was not up to their usual standards. Perhaps a QC issue. In any event, the prompt, voluntary replacement of my faulty cover with a new one is an entirely satisfactory outcome. I feel quite justified in changing my review to five stars.

Picky customer approved!

I read several reviews for different Kindle Paperwhite cases and so happy I settled in on this one. A Kindle case is pretty hard to buy sight-unseen as I prefer to get a feel for the material and how the case fits into my hand in advance of purchase. This product delivers in both respects - very nice quality for the price and the slim design is comfortable to hold while reading. It does a great job protecting my Kindle screen when closed - especially when lugging it in my purse. I also like the microsuede fabric on backside of cover which folds back and grips well on my jeans while reading. The fashionable lavender floral pattern is a nice bonus. One unexpected convenience is the magnetic open/close feature that wakes my Kindle and puts it to sleep. This wasn't a deal breaker for me either way but I enjoy this particular feature more than anticipated. Case appears to be durable so hoping it will hold up over the long haul. At any rate - this is by far my longest Amazon review and basically you can't go wrong with this inexpensive solution to protect your Kindle Paperwhite!

First off, I bought this case a year ago, and it has been on my Kindle since. This case is absolutely amazing. It has a really nice, slim design, and though my cover curved slightly at first, once I had the case in my purse for a day it flattened out fine. Even after a year the magnet and hinge are still working beautifully. It does add some weight to the kindle paperwhite which isn't avoidable. I like this case because it's not impossible to get the kindle out so I can hold the kindle itself and just store it in my purse with the case on. After a year the print has worn down, mostly in the corners and the hinge itself, but I just think it adds character. All in all, if I had to buy another case (which I won't, because this case is so durable) I will definitely come back to this company

Highly satisfied, love the color

I can be picky when it comes to cases for my electronics and I found this one to be exactly as advertised. The color is great (matches with my iPhone) and it works great for the sleep/wake function. I did not have any problems with the case not closing flat or fit. It provides a nice slim profile for my Kindle and I feel it offers enough protections for daily use and transporting.
