This oven bakes beautifully and looks great in my newly renovated kitchen. It does get fingerprints and smudges easily, though, so I find myself wiping it down often.

Awesome range that was delivered in very protective packaging. The hardest part was finding a local installer because I declined their optional installation package. If you are not a pretty good DIYer or dont want to wrestle a 250 pound oven then definitely recommend you purchase the installation package option. The fan everyone talks about in other reviews is very quiet and you can talk/whisper right next to the oven without any issues at all. We have baked several meals in both ovens to include Thanksgiving this year with no issues. The preheat time seems to be a tiny bit slower than our old oven, but the more even heat and more accurate temperature of the new one off sets that issue.

We were looking for a modern double oven to replace our 20 year old unit and didn't want to pay an arm and a leg. In looking for reviews on this GE oven, I found only a couple, mostly favorable. We also looked at similar ovens from Whirlpool and Maytag, both of which had many more reviews. What stood out with the other brands were complaints about how noisy they were. One person described the noise like an airplane taxiing in their kitchen! I didn't even know these new ovens had fans, as they are not convection, and our old oven had no moving parts whatsoever. Nervous about this noise issue, I ordered the GE since none of the five reviewers even mentioned noise. Well, I'm here to tell you, this oven is QUIET. Yes, like all these modern ovens, it has a cooling fan that continues to run even when the oven is turned off, but it is a very faint, soft noise, not a bother at all. I was relieved!
