Super handy device for travel!!
I am so happy I found this! It fit perfectly on my spare Cosco car seat, and rolls easily through airports and on sidewalks, even with a 30 pound child in the seat. I wanted to save money on renting a car seat for a family trip, and it ended up doubling as a stroller, at least for while we were in the airport. There were a couple times I had to re-center the seat on the metal platform--it was sagging to the side and becoming difficult to push/pull. But after stopping, sitting it upright and shifting it back center, it was right as rain. I say that just so you understand that it may not sit perfectly the entire time, you will have to pay attention as it shifts in transport and during non-use, but once corrected will stay put. I got a lot of compliments on how smart and handy this was, and I couldn't agree more! I would suggest, if you are taking this and a car seat on the plane, that you purchase a car seat bag for easy hand-off when checking in at the gate. It fit just fine into the bag I purchased, and since I had to rig all the excess security belts and hooks to the back, I was able to create a little holding area for the bag for when we were rolling around (see picture for a better idea of what I mean). Overall, this was a great purchase and I'm happy to have it on hand for future trips!

The best thing since sliced bread!
To make a long story short, this made our life soooo much easier traveling through the airport with our two year old. We cinched his car seat to this and we were OFF! The locking mechanism securing the car seat to the dolly is great. I thought it was going to loosen or fall off when we checked the car seat at the gate. It held strong and didnt move despite being thrown into the cargo hold of the plane (saw this through my window seat). My wife and I highly recommend this product for the family on the go.

Convenient!
We used this to haul our Graco convertible car seat (Size 4 Me, or MySize, can't remember precisely) through the airport. Our son is 18 months, about 25 lbs. The car seat was easy to quickly strap onto the dolly and stayed secure while I hauled it around, though I did of course have to retighten everything after picking it up from the gate check. I bought a travel bag to protect everything while it was being transported and then promptly forgot at the last minute to use it both coming and going. It all seems to have survived, though. I did kinda hook the Latch connections to the dangling straps to keep them tucked up while rolling everything around. If that doesn't work with your strap configurations, my other suggestion would be to use a mini bungee cord or those extra long industrial twist ties or something to kinda hold them up off the floor, if needed. Our son sat in the car seat sometimes while we rolled them around, and sometimes we put our coats/lightweight carry-ons on it instead. It was reasonably maneuverable and felt safe. He had a great time reclining and just chilling while we carted him around. We definitely had to be careful on ramps because it can pick up speed quickly, but we found that we could either push it like a stroller, or pull it like a suitcase. Be careful with rough transition areas, like large concrete seams in the airport parking garage. We got stuck on those a few times since the wheels aren't very large. The dolly held up well going there and back. I see no obvious signs of damage, so we will see how it does in the future as well!

5 year old son (in his own seat) and 10 month old daughter (lap child) on a plane by myself i was pretty scared. I can deal with
Total lifesaver. I'm an experienced business traveler with well over a million miles under my belt - but faced with taking my 2.5 year old son (in his own seat) and 10 month old daughter (lap child) on a plane by myself i was pretty scared. I can deal with thy crying but I couldn't figure out how to keep the toddler from just plain escaping down the plane aisle. I researched the FAA approved belt which seemed like a good option but i was a bit sceptical because it needs to be attached over the seat back and we were flying first class where the seats are very different. Plus it is expensive. Enter the Mini Travelmate! Perfect idea if it would work. We have several carseats and when i purchased the travelmate i had intended on using it with our Recaro pro-ride which is listed as compatable. However, my husband nixed the idea since its our most expensive seat and wanted me to take our cheepo Evenflo (i don't even know the model) instead. This was a little bit of a problem since it didn't turn out to be compatable. But my handy husband spent 2 hours in the garage bolting a special cut extra wood piece to the travelmade platform to create a custom fit for resting the seat bottom on. It turned out perfect and allowed the carseat to snap into place with no effort. I practiced at home and could put the evenflo carseat onto the travelmade with one hand while wearing the baby. When it came to travel day, I wore my baby in a front pack, had a backpack carryon, and pulled the toddler in his seat around the airport effortlessly. Plus when the toddler wanted to walk, i could put my 10 month old in the travelmate and let the toddler walk on a leash. Boarding the plane, i just simply unhooked the toddler seat one handed and lifted it up into the airplane seat (all while wearing my baby) and let my toddler climb on up. The travelmate then colapses small enough to go under the seat in front of us. Super fast and no stress about making people behind us wait. I still don't recommend traveling alone with 2 kids - but if you have to, this is the way to go.

This is a miracle for a solo parent who can't lug a seat and/or a child around
I cannot recommend this cart enough! I used it for the first time this week and have been raving about it to family and friends with kids. I researched so many options for traveling alone with a toddler. I ended up getting this cart and the Birdee travel bag for gate checking. Worked like a dream. I practiced securing the car seat (Safety First Grow and Go- it's big and heavy) to the cart a couple times at home, but it is truly foolproof. A strap with a plastic zip thing goes thru the seatbelt path and clicks easily. Just as easy to undo. My toddler loved zooming around the house as I got used to how it handles. On our return trip my child was asleep in the car when we got dropped off. I unbuckled the car seat and secured it on this cart without waking him up. Security let me leave it on the seat both times. When I arrived at each departure gate, I unhooked the cart, folded it up, and clipped it INSIDE the car seat using the chest buckle. Then I put the whole thing inside a gate check travel bag (see my review on the Birdee bag, it did an amazing job too). After, I even took out the cart and tried putting the bagged seat on it by clipping the bag straps with a carabiner. It totally worked, which would be good going gate to gate. But my child decided walking wasn't fun after a couple minutes, so I unbagged the seat and clipped it directly to the cart and we were off. This is one of the best products for traveling alone with a child. I didn't know if it was worth the price, trust me- it is. I plan to use it for years, since my child will be in some form of car seat that long. This was such a good find.

Moving a toddler with just one hand: priceless!
Sorry to see this unavailable so soon after I bought it. Absolutely love this. Combined it with the Cosco Scenera NEXT Convertible Car Seat for a trip from Boston to St Louis and back with our 18 month old. I had doubts as to how confident I would feel in the sturdiness of it all. But by the time we got on the flight, I was in love. Super easy to connect to the seat. I used the regular attachment strap as well as the top latch belt on the car seat (passed it over the middle blue support and clasped it to the middle of the axle on the bottom. Absolutely no movement between the seat and the carrier even over bumps and with a wiggly 18 month old. On the plane was able to wheel my son still in his car seat directly to our row. Super easy to disconnect (did not even need to take my son out of his seat) and stow. Reconnected at the end of the flight and off we went. The best part: moving a toddler with ease with just one hand. Can't do that with any of the 4 strollers we own! On the trip home I was able to get the stroller reconnected to the car seat without waking my sleeping son and we almost to baggage claim before he started to stir.

Lifesaver when traveling with small kids
I have 3 of these and I could not travel with my 3 kids without them! They are genius and life savers. We recently flew across country with our 7,6 & 4 year olds. Going their was fine because my husband was there to help! The issue began when he had to leave before us and I was going to have to fly home by myself with the 3 kiddos. Don't get me wrong, my kiddos are great and were very helpful in the airport but there really was no way we would have survived with out our Go-Go Babyz Mini Travelmate!!! Picture this -- Hot, muggy Florida heat. 3 tired, grumpy kids. a mom with no wine in her system. We dropped off our SUV and then we had to someone get from their to the check in with 3 suitcases, 4 backpacks & 3 car seats. My kids had their backpacks on, I had my back pack on and now what to do with the rest. LUCKILY, we had the gogobabyz! YAY! They were each able to pull their car seat and I managed with the three suitcases. It was quite the ordeal and I'm sure some nice birth control for all of the teens we came across. We survived though and Virgin has margaritas! hip hip hooray!

Best invention for traveling with a toddler
If you’re traveling with a young child and a bulky car seat - this thing is amazing. I just finished a solo trip with my 18 month old daughter and her Nuna Rava car seat (we opted to buy her a seat primarily to save those around us - and to avoid checking her car seat). My car seat is gigantic - so it alone wouldn’t fit through the x-ray machine and so they were able to wand it down and roll it through for me). I rolled this along with my daughter comfortable and safely buckled - all the way through from where I parked to our seat on the plane - only having to remove my daughter to get through security and once we arrived at our seat on the plane to remove and install the car seat... it was a bit tight through the airplane isle but only because my car seat is so big (much easier once I tucked the cup holders away). And when not in use - this thing just folded up nicely and sat on the floor under the seat. I would have had no choice but to check the car seat if it weren’t for this great device - which also allowed my daughter to ride safely on what was a bumpy flight.

Excellent purchase. Good for long trips.
Very happy with this purchase. I was travelling internationally without my husband and with my almost 4 year old, 3 flights one way. She doesn't like to walk long distances and I had some tight connections, plus customs/immigration at night. I didn't really want to bring a stroller, but I did want to have the carseat on the plane for the night flight, as she usually sleeps very easily in it. I traveled with a carry-on backpack and a checked wheeled rolling bag. I could pull the carseat+travelmate in one hand and the rolling bag in the other through the airport, until I checked the rolling bag. I gate checked the carseat with the travelmate attached for 2 of 3 flights. The last flight was 3.5 hrs and so I brought the setup on board so she could sleep in her cosco scenara carseat on the last leg home (we arrived at midnight). I put the travelmate in the overhead compartment. How was I going to get her off the plane in her car seat without waking her up when the flight arrives at midnight? After eyeballing the aisles of the first two flights, I thought I'd be able to actually wheel her down the aisle of the 737 in the carseat+ travelmate, while she slept. Unfortunately, this wasn't possible due to the width of the aisle at row 1, and 6, which was too narrow (I checked when boarding the third leg). All I had was a backpack for carryon luggage, and I was only seated in row 8, so when the flight landed, I waited for my row (and several behind me) to deplane and grabbed the travelmate from the overhead compartment. Then, while she was sleeping in the car seat, I attached the travelmate. I put on my backpack so my hands were free, and I lifted her up while she was buckled in the carseat, (with the travelmate installed) with her facing forward, and carried her in front of me off the plane, sleeping. She weighs about 32 lbs, but not sure i'd be able to do it when she is bigger, especially if I had to carry her the entire length of the plane.... The carseat was super light, maybe 5 or 6 lbs so that helped too. We got off the plane and I set her down and wheeled her down to baggage claim. She slept the whole time! Put the carseat into the car (with her still in it asleep), removed the travelmate, positioned her seat in the car and strapped it in, with her sleeping in it the carseat the whole time. Not sure I recommend what I did unless you are very strong, or your kid + cosco scenara carseat + travelmate weighs less than 37 lbs. Definitely practice carrying your kid in the carseat+travelmate to make sure you can first. I think my husband could likely carry a heavier setup. Perhaps there are some planes that a narrow carseat could be wheeled down. I think I would have made it, except row 6 (bulkhead) and row 1 were too tight.

Absolutely fabulous!
This thing is FABULOUS! I recently traveled solo with my 5 year old son (weighs 43lbs) and this was my saving grace. It's super light, takes seconds to strap your car seat to it and you're off. I used it with my Graco Nautilus car seat and barely needed to put any effort in to rolling him + the car seat through the airport. I simply folded it up quick, strapped it in to the car seat like a kid before putting the car seat in the gate-check bag!
