A can of tuna that actually looks like real fish and tastes like great fish.
I used to have a love/hate relationship with tuna. The Chunk Light variety that is the most commonly advertised at a nice low price (and that your parents always bought) was decent, but I had a hard time finishing a sandwich because the fishy taste would finally exceeded my love of the tuna flavor. As with most products, manufacturers have cut back the amount of actual tuna in a can of tuna and are packing it more loosely to disguise the loss of meat. However, eventually it becomes impossible to ignore this secret price hike technique. After squeezing the water out of the can (even of brand name tuna), I was finding that there was just 3/8 of an inch or thereabouts of tuna left, and instead of being "chunk"-y, it mostly resembled anchovy paste. Even the best brand Chunk Light tuna is starting to resemble mechanically-separated goo. As a contrast, though, a can of even the cheapest brand of Albacore tuna is a can full of firm meaty chunks. The price of the cheap Chunk Light junk hovers in the 60 cent range when on sale, but most Albacore will cost you $1.50 (US) to over $2.00 at the grocery store for the same 6-ish ounce can. Open a can of a good brand and after draining it you will still have a can full of tuna Open a can of a great brand like this Bumble Bee Prime Fillet Solid White Albacore and you will never complain about the price difference again. And the taste, oh the taste! This is the most un-fishy tasting tuna that I've ever eaten. All that I can taste is pure tuna flavor. No fishiness, no oiliness, no cannery waste aftertaste. This is tuna for people who actually love tuna. Period. Don't hate your parents for serving the other stuff. It was good food once upon a time. Try a can of this if your love of tuna has waned, or if you don't like tuna at all. You will be pleasantly surprised.

Finally -- Tuna that Tastes Like Tuna!
A reviewer said his mother explained that the reason tuna doesn't taste the way it used to is because it's not packed in oil. He's right! I used to love a good tuna-salad sandwich, and lately, they just didn't taste right. I'd buy the best albacore, thinking that would work (I long ago abandoned buying regular tuna ... it was nothing but mush), but even that didn't turn out well ... there was an odd "non-tuna" taste to it. Then my shipment of "Bumble Bee Toono in Olive Oil" arrived. It's wonderful! This tuna tastes the way tuna used to! Thanks, Amazon, for giving us some options in our food choices.

Arrived Alive and NO Dents!
:::: PLEASE NOTE the two images I provided. One is the bumblebee which arrived perfectly without dents.:::::: 2/20 Shipping canned items can sometimes arrive with dents. Although I haven't eaten from this batch yet, I will assume they are just as tasty as the ones I buy at my grocery store. This arrived perfectly intact and I can't wait to eat them. I wish I could say the same for the Star-Kist order I made. they did not fare well at all. I do believe these BB cans are much more robust. Kudos to Bumble Bee & Amazon! They get an A+ for BB. -Side Note: IMO-Olive Oil is a healthier alternative than regular oil and gives it a much better taste. -The expiration date is 2022.

Good albacore tuna
To my taste, between all regular tunas you find in your regular supermarket island, there is no comparisons between bumble bee gourmet solid albacore tuna (in water) and all other regular cans of tunas different brands. I like my can of tuna to be solid and in water. For sure there are other imported tunas cans brands very delicious but they are in oil and very very pricey..(not my everyday choice).

Excellent high-quality tuna fish
This is very high-quality tuna fish. It tastes excellent. Since it is packed in water, it is easy to rinse and then break into whatever size pieces that you want. It's excellent alone or in a sandwich. (If you want, all you need to add is a small amount of mayonnaise and lemon juice (or whatever you like to use.) It's a wonderful product, absolutely no fishy taste. An excellent purchase for my family. It's difficult to find in stores. It cost a little more, but is worth the price. My niece likes to add a small amount of pickle juice and small pieces of tomato. It truly is tasty.

Amazing quality
I have tried to look for a tuna can that is not all chopped up and does not smell like ocean. This particular brand and product is perfect. It has a great taste and smell to it. If you do not use it all at once, you can put the can in a zip lock bag in the fridge and it keeps it fresh for a couple of days. I definitely recommend it!

GREAT
YUM! I LOVE AND EAT A TON OF TUNA AND ALWAYS EAT BUMBLE BEE BUT HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS GOLD STUFF BEFORE. WAS A LITTLE HESITANT AFTER READING ALL THE CRAZY PEOPLES REVIEWS BUT I REALIZED IT WAS THEM, NOT THE TUNA. JUST MAD A BIG CONTAINER OF TUNA SALAD AND IT'S, OF COURSE, FABULOUS. I DON'T GET THE DIFFRENCE BETWEEN THE GOLD CANS AND THE BLUE/WHITE CANS BUT I LOVE THEM BOTH!

Wonderful tuna flavor. Texture was really a solid filet.
I really liked this tuna. It was classic flavor and I've had it plain with mayo, also had onion, pickle and mayo mixed in. On bread with lettuce and pickle on the side, just totally delicious.! Best of all, it was a solid piece in the can. I didn't even drain the water, just mixed it all up and used less mayo as the water kept it moist, not watery. I am getting this exact same item when I re-order. *I might even have it sent on the repeat order program. I live in Alaska where the salmon and halibut thrive, but sometimes you've just gotta have TUNA.

BUMBLE BEE Prime Fillet Solid White Albacore Tuna
The BEST canned tuna for the price. You actually get prime chunks of Albacore tuna instead of left-over small bits and pieces. Highly Recommend.
