I have put together a great many puzzles over the years (5,000 pieces was the largest). Most of them, and all of my more recent puzzles, have been from Ravensburger, their quality is unmatched. I have never cared for landscape puzzles or puzzles where half the area seems to be all sky, ocean, forest, etc. I prefer a puzzle with alot of small details. This puzzle has literally well over 1,000 small details scattered all thru out it. If you look long enough and close enough, you can find the location of most of the pieces from the picture on the box, but don't be deceived! This is still a fairly tough puzzle at 1,000 pieces. I can honestly say, this is the most enjoyable puzzle I have ever built! And one of the very few puzzles I look forward to putting together again in the future. Highly recommended!

Best puzzle we've ever done.

This puzzle has very clear graphics, bright and bold colors, and enough hidden humor to keep you laughing. The quality from Ravensburger is excellent as always. Highly recommended.

It was sort of like an "I Spy" if you will

This puzzle was a complete blast to put together. I did it by myself one weekend both nights. It was my first puzzle. I wasn't sure I'd do a 1000 piece puzzle but this one was so interesting. It was sort of like an "I Spy" if you will. A lot of the times I'd pick a piece and then look on the box to find it and once I found it on the box, I knew exactly where that piece went. I highly recommend this puzzle. I'm lending it to my aunt to put together and then to anyone I know I'll keep passing it on. It's very enjoyable.

So much fun to put together!

I absolutely loved this puzzle. I was hesitant to buy this because, one I had never gotten this brand before and two, it cost a couple of dollars more than the others that I have been getting. But I really liked the picture and I thought it would be different to put together. It was bit more difficult to put together than most others I have done before, but it was so much fun to do! I will definitely be buying more of this brand of puzzles. And the ads are correct about their puzzles pieces.

Love Ravensburger bizzare workshop

After the Curious Cupboard 1000 piece puzzle by Ravensburger, I had to get another one and the Bizzare Bookshop 2 caught my eye. In fact, I had a lot of other options but kept coming back to this one. That's a sign I needed to get it. I opened it a week ago and already making great progress. The colors are so crisp, so clean, the puzzle pieces fit together oh so nicely, and the pictures so fun. I am an adult and yet doing this puzzle is giving me the deep need for thinking, or not thinking as Eckart Tolle would say ;), for decompressing, for keeping my mind sharp and keeping my wits about me and keeping my memory in check, and there is such joy in piecing together the right pieces. It Is Addictive. This is a gorgeous puzzle that I hope to hang in my office when finished - and it is far from my last Ravensburger :)! Update: I finally got Mod Podge and glued the front and back of the puzzle several times - according to instructions - let it dry for 30 minutes after each application and then just let it rest on top of my book shelf. See picture below. It's quite lovely!!!! Onto my next puzzle now. I hope this helps.

Love the Detail, Came with Extra Pieces (and Two Missing!)

I love Ravensburger puzzles because they are usually a higher quality than many. This is a great puzzle with a ton of detail. I love being able to pick up a piece and find the exact location that it belongs. I do have to say that this puzzle came with 6 duplicate pieces and 2 missing pieces. I thought this was a pretty unusual and difficult thing to have happen but it has. I've emailed Ravensburger to see what they will do. Obviously I can throw the duplicates away but I can't create the missing pieces. If they don't make it right, I'll be back to lower my review. UPDATE: It took a little bit of time (obviously they were swamped after the holidays) but Ravensburger got back to me and asked me to send the UPC code from the box to them and they would replace the puzzle. Fair enough and a good solution.

So many tiny details, super cute!

Ravensburger is the best puzzle brand we have found. The quality of their puzzles is always top notch. The pieces fit together nicely, the image is always bright and crisp, and the pieces don't bend or break apart like with some puzzles. All Ravensburger puzzle pieces are blue on the back, which is a nice touch, but sometimes makes it a bit more challenging to pick out blue pieces such as sky. They also come in a nice sturdy box. Another great feature of all Ravensburger puzzles is that they are packaged in a plastic bag (within the box) that is labeled with a batch number that you can use to try to get replacement pieces. We have never had a puzzle from them that was missing any pieces (and we have done around 20-30+ of their puzzles), but if you happen to end up with any missing pieces yourself, you should have the batch number available so you can contact Ravensburger's customer service (through their company website). I suggest that when you open up your puzzle, you write the number from the bag on the inside of your box. This way, you don't have to keep the bag around, and you will always have the appropriate batch number with each puzzle. Their current policy states that they are not always able to replace single pieces, but they will do their best to resolve the situation. Their manufacturing process requires they change the cutting tools every so many puzzles (and this process changes the shapes of the pieces), so my guess is that you will be able to get replacement pieces as long as your puzzle is from the current cutting tools. This particular puzzle is super cute with so very many tiny details. I would estimate challenge level to be moderate on this particular puzzle.

Great quality and feel to the puzzle

Wonderful, high-quality puzzle. I was worried about missing pieces after reading some of the more recent posts, but I'm glad I took a chance, no missing pieces! This puzzle has nice, thick cut pieces that fit together nice and snug. Loving the additional picture printout inside box, too; it really helps when there are multiple people working on it.

Nice puzzle but tough

Tough puzzle. I didn't realize when my wife asked for a jigsaw puzzle that we usually did 500 piece puzzles. WE DID IT!! Finally!! The pieces are well cut and the colors are sharp. I wish that Ravensburger would include a larger print of the finished puzzle or else not put images over the picture on the box. Detailed to the point of using a magnifying glass to read some of the book titles. humorous book collection and characters. We enjoyed putting this together but it was tough.

This is a Fantastic Puzzle

This is the most interesting puzzle I have ever done. There is so much to explore in the image as you are putting it together. The books titles are a hoot and the artwork is amazing and fanciful. Note: the boxtop photo has a couple of things that hide the picture in a couple of spots but there are included sheets with the full picture in the box. The photo is smaller than a full sheet of paper, so I scanned it and printed it larger. If you do this, set the resolution to 300 - 600 dpi because there is so much fine detail you will need and will want to see.
