These Broadway binoculars feel like a quality product, they are heavy duty, the view of the actors faces, expressions, and scenes were easily viewed and nicely magnified. Battery installation was easy for the LED light which works fine, but it wasn't needed while at the show however, a nice option to have if needed. I had read the chain was better than the handle, and I do believe it to be true. To be able to put these around your neck and use when desired, instead of having to hold them in your hand the entire time, is convenient and I found it to be comfortable. Overall very happy with this purchase.

this is a far better price than buying them at the Met Opera gift shop. I lost a pair exactly like these and they cost me $90! Definitely worth it. Some people said they were surprised to find theirs came with the handle...I don't know what opera glasses they're reviewing but mine arrived exactly as described: with a chain. You wouldn't want to use these to go bird-watching or at a ball game, their magnification is ideal for theatre viewing not outdoor activities.

No "ragrets" buying these, not even one single letter. These are perfect for concerts and musicals. I love to see details like costumes and makeup and facial expressions...but I'm too cheap to shell out hundreds for front row seats. These broadway glasses do just the trick. Every time I bring these to the show, people rave about them...especially when I let them try them out. I've used these at smaller venues of a few thousand seats like Pantages and Segerstrom and larger venues like Staples Center, T-Mobile Arena, and Honda Center. They give me the perfect distance. If you're like me and you go out to see shows and concerts often, buy them. The only regret you'll have is when you accidentally leave them at home.

Item arrived promptly, by the promised date. Glasses are easy to use. Only complaint is the instructions do not address how to install the batteries. Eyeglass screwdriver is needed, and it makes a difference how the batteries are installed. If reversed, light is permanently on vs being switched

These worked extremely well for a Broadway Musical we attended. We were in the Mezzanine section & these were perfect. We could easily see the faces on the performers. The LED light is a nice feature to find your seat or to look at your playbill/program. The chain is helpful for keeping around your neck.

These glasses are sooooooooo classy and we take them to the opera and the theater. One drawback- after a bit they start to smell metallic, like a jar of old pennies.

These are so pretty! The image does not do them justice. After researching the various theater glasses and after reading tons of reviews, I was utterly confused because the reviews were conflicting! Two things made me settle on this pair: I waited until the last minute to make a decision and they were one of the few that could be delivered swiftly, and the other reason I selected this pair was based upon a reviewer's comment regarding the pros and cons of theater glasses with the necklace vs the handle. I originally wanted to purchase the theater glasses with the handle, but a reviewer stated it was easier to applaud with a pair of glasses with the necklace as opposed to the pair with the handle. I thought about how I would use the glasses and saw myself sharing them with my spouse, and that sealed the decision for me. (Needless to say, he had zero interest in looking through them to see all the details I wanted him to see. LoL) To continue, due to the weather and NO fault of the seller, the glasses arrived a day later than expected and I'm extremely happy I received them in time for the show. I know nothing about diopters and all that jazz but I can offer my critique of this pair of theater glasses by saying they met my expectations. I wanted to be able to see the actors' faces and details of their costumes, and I was able to see everything crystal clear from the Grand Tier section, front row. I did not have to continuously readjust them. When they first arrived, my husband commented about their appearance, stating, they were "really nice." He adjusted the zoom, handed them to me and I didn't have to do anything else to them. I will say I wasn't familiar with binoculars so when I first looked through them I thought I would see out of both eyes, but instead it's more like a single image, if that makes sense. My husband explained to me that is how they work. I had a grand time and truly enjoyed myself and believe these theater glasses definitely enhanced my experience. Oh, almost forgot, I used these with my px eyeglasses and had zero problem. I thought my arms would grow tired of holding them but they didn't. The light worked just fine, but I didn't need to read the program or anything during the show. I highly recommend this pair of theater glasses and am extremely pleased I selected the glasses with the chain and not the handle. I tried to include everything in this review that I wanted to know prior to my purchase. HTH

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these stylishly functional opera glasses! Very compact size makes them easily transportable, and classier than taking field binoculars to performance events. Even has an infrared light to help you find your seat number in the dark. Easily adjustable, with retractable handle that collapses to fit back into the accompanying velvet bag. Bad also has lint-free lens cleaning cloth included. Have enjoyed many more live performances, thanks to these!

I bought these for my mother, who regularly attends theater performances. She just used them for the first time a few days ago and she loved them. Her season tickets provide balcony seats in a theater that seat 3,700 and she was able to see the actors faces using these glasses. She was very happy with the glasses. I might add that she was the envy of a few other theater goers seated near her. As for the quality, I can personally vouch for the light weight and the ease of the telescopic lorgnette.
