I am very impressed with this fan. The installation of it was very straight forward. The only issue that I had was with the hardware provided. During the installation of the hanger screws... I stripped out the heads and had to go to the home improvement store to get some better quality ones. That was the only downside. Everything else went in without a hitch. The instructions were all very clear for assembly as well as for wiring. I have this installed with a Hunter 99122 universal remote and it works flawlessly. (No need for dual switch!) It may just be great luck, but I love that the fan is perfectly balanced right out of the box. I have used the fan for extended periods on all three speeds and there is literally zero rotational movement in the core (as evidenced by the stationary chains dangling from the light housing). VERY impressive. The fan has a very finished and clean look and is better than I expected. This is my first ceiling fan (ever), and I will certainly be purchasing more after this. I really had no idea which brands are good or bad, or better/worse than others, but I have to say, after this purchase... I will either get this same exact fan again, or will look for another Hunter product.

Love this product. We had to purchase 2 for our addition. We had the added complication of vaulted ceilings which required a downbar and our electrician pre installed dimmer switches already. These look beautiful. They are a dark brown with almost black metal parts. We went with the 18 inch down bar and they worked with the switches. Assembly took 2 hours for both fans. There's also a metal , Hunter, plate in case you would opt for no light, just the fan. The fan globe is a nice suntan, bronze color. The switches worked well. Great produce and much cheaper than big box home improvement stores.

Quick to install by myself, good instructions and perfectly balanced on arrival. Had not installed a fan in about 15 years, so i went slow reading the directions. The directions are well written and in understandable english - not run through an auto translator like a lot of products use today, which make no sense when reading. There were other languages provided, but not being fluent in them I cannot attest to them. the fan blades were well balanced, i have no wobble at all. However, the fan came with a balancing kit, which I'll be saving in case one of the other fans I install in my home isn't as lucky. Now that I have a Hunter brand fan I'm noticing them everywhere, in every home i go to. It's a great reassurance that I chose a good brand that will last a good long while.

Very quite. We don't run it on high because it seems to vibrate quite a bit more than on medium speed, but I'm pretty sure that is a balance issue that will be fixed once I use the included balance kit. The installation was pretty straight forward, however, the included backed that you screw into ceiling mount seemed to be a bit narrow for fitting onto the ceiling. The diameter of the hole in our ceiling was not much larger than the box in the ceiling, yet the bracket just barely overlapped the actual ceiling which seemed weird.

This is a wonderful ceiling fan. Installation was pretty much standard as far as ceiling fans go.... if you've installed one, well, this one is no different. Pretty easy to do, although it is time consuming. Wiring is easy peasy, just three wires (plus ground)! Honestly, that is only a little time, but the big "reward" is the life it has afterwards. This is one quiet fan, even while on full blast. It doesn't shake or shimmy or make hardly any noise other than whirling air. It is powerful enough for a good sized (15'x15') room, but then I'm sure it would work for even some bigger rooms too... it didn't seem to be "straining" if you know what I mean--in other words, there was plenty of air flow even in the corners or the room. In addition, it is just an art piece, if such a thing can be said about a ceiling fan! It really is lovely, and I've had several comments about the ceiling fan so far, and it's only been up a week. I would definitely buy another (I already bought two) if I needed one.

This fan is beautiful, functional and whisper quiet. I can't believe how affordable it is! The fan and light fixture really upped the styling of my media room and man, it puts out some wind too. The room in which it was installed is pretty small, around 10 x 10', and it's absolutely perfect. It took my handyman 1 hour from unboxing to walking away. I don't think the bulbs that come with it are all that dim as some reviewers mentioned - I like the soft lighting it puts out, especially in a media room, but it's definitely enough light. If you're looking for the surface of the sun, you may want to buy different bulbs. I bought the smaller version of this fan for my guest room and it's just as fantastic. I cannot recommend this fan enough. 10 stars!!

I'm a fan of this fan. Quiet fan that is easy to install. I had to add an extra down-pole to mount it to my high ceiling. No noise whatsoever. My wife doesn't like it because she says the fan blades get dusty quicker. I think this is probably true since it moves more air. Also be care when you tighten the glass housing. I got it too tight and cracked the glass.

I purchased this fan today, based on long personal experience with Hunter fans, experience which could be useful for you. Our house has high open-beam ceilings, and in the winter hot air would rise and collect at the ceiling, while a zone of 2 to 3 feet near the floor remained cold. I checked out a store display of ceiling fans, and noticed that the Hunter fans were a lot quieter than the other brands displayed alongside. I purchased one, and installed it in the living room. It solved our heating problem easily and completely, so we decided to put another fan in the kitchen. However, since the kitchen was less than half the size of the living room, we got a cheaper fan of another make, which whined and wobbled, and after two years it quit working. We replaced it with a Hunter. The living room fan operated flawlessly, 24 hours per day, 365 days per year for about 20 years. One day, after stopping the fan to clean the blades, when re-starting we found that the fan would run only at the highest of the three speeds (we use the lowest speed). I telephoned Hunter in Tennessee, and gave them the numbers from the motor housing. They said our problem would be one of two parts, and that they would send them both to us. I said "You haven't mentioned any price". "No charge", I was told, "these fans are guaranteed". I installed the parts, and the fan worked like new. It has now run continuously, except for the ten-day pause for new parts, for 38 years, while the kitchen fan has run continuously for 36 years without repair. These fans are quiet, durable, include a balance kit to eliminate wobble, and are among the nicest looking on the market. The rotation direction is reversible, so in the winter you set the fan to pull cold air up from the floor and move warm air down along the walls to warm the room, then in the summer you reverse it to fan air across overheated people. In hot climates the fan can be used at the higher speeds to move a lot of air quickly. I can't think of another product that has impressed me more than Hunter fans, given their performance and the amazing service, which was needed only once in 38 years.

We needed more light in the bedroom. I was worried when I saw the light online that it may not do what we needed. We installed it and it gives plenty of light. It is a soft light, not that bright blinding light you see on most fan lights. I used this fan to replace a fan that didn't have lights. I moved the lightless fan to another place in the house where I didn't need extra light.n The bulbs are the opera small base bulbs. I found energy efficient bulbs [2] and replaced the standard bulbs. It takes [2] 60 watt bulbs. The fan is quiet and works well. The replacement install was quick and easy.

We wanted to change out our original 17 year old white ceiling fan with this darker wood grain ceiling fan to match the furniture. The ceiling fan was very well packed in the box, the glass globe and the rest of the fan parts were not damaged in shipping. It was very easy to install ( about 2 hours) and they provided one spare screw and rubber grommet of each size. The instructions were easy to understand. The fan is very quiet with no wobble and looks great. I did not use the two 60W incandescent bulbs included with the fan, I replaced both lamps with LED warm glow dimmable lamps with a candelabra base made by Philips that uses only 7 watts with 500 lumens (60W replacement) of brightness that should last 22+ years. The Philips lamps cost under $5 each but I should save that in power alone in a couple of years.
