Pleased as punch

I purchased a full set of these pans couple of years ago, they very well made and I'm happy with them. Had been wanting the double boiler for some time, and had no reservations about going with this brand again. I'm absolutely pleased with this purchase, and have no problem recommending this reasonably priced cookware to anyone.

Nice for making candy!

This is a nice double boiler I intend on making candy with! Double boilers keep candy from burning to the sides and require constant monitoring of temperature to not burn or under-cook it, by heating water in the bottom part and candy ingredients in the upper part. I wish it came with some candy recipes but I have a few confectioners cookbooks to go by. Overall 5 stars from me.

This company demonstrates superior customer service.

This is a fine product. Very well made and very versatile. The low price does not reflect the high value built into this product especially in light of the fact that it has a double wrapped bottom and a vented glass cover. The most pleasant aspect of purchasing this product was the fine example of customer service that I experienced. Through a shipping oversight, I received two perforated inserts. The boiler should have come with one perforated insert and one solid bottom insert. Upon discovering the error, I immediately Emailed the company's customer service department with an explanation of the problem. Within minutes I had a reply asking for varifacation and clarification of the problem. A photo of the parts that I had received proved to be enough varifacation and within 30 minutes I received a FedX shipment tracking number. The missing part arrived today all at no charge. That's stunning service by anyone's measure. Stuff happens and when it does, it is absolutely brilliant to see people step up, take corrective action and make things right. These people do.

Great Smaller Sized Steamer / Double Boiler set! Stainless Steel

Cook N Home NC-00313 Double Boiler and Steamer Set, Stainless SteelPerfect for Steaming Shrimp! Bought this for the steamer and double boiler features- a two in one deal. The fresh gulf shrimp we steamed turned out very well -steamed approx. 1 lb of large fresh shrimp to a perfect completion. Steamed for a bit over the suggested three minutes to be certain Shrimp was done - we could possibly get more shrimp steamed at one time but for first time worked great. Was not dry or chewy but just right! :0) We have tried many ways to prepare shrimp, grilling, boiling, broiling, fried- but steamed always seemed to taste the best- without dryness or overcooking. This unit worked great. Glass top is vented and although you need to use hot pads to remove from levels from the stove top- was not a problem. Mrs wants to use the double boiler for baking so far a good buy for both the steamer and double boiler all together in this unit. Shipping was very quick from Amazon. Seems sturdy and stainless steel should hopefully last a long time! Wife wanted a double boiler for baking sized perfectly and the Double Boiler & Steamer all in one also a space saver.

This was a gift to our son and his wife. When I found out they didn't have one I immediately went on Amazon to find one (Because in my books, no kitchen is complete with out a double boiler)! I have not seen it, as of yet, but my daughter in law says it is amazing! The package arrived 5 days earlier that it said it would and she said they were pleasantly surprised! I would absolutely purchase again if I needed another one!

Great pot for us & the price was right

This pot is perfect for me and the price was just right. I literally use it almost every night and even if I forget about it, I've never had a problem! I mostly use the steamer basket but I've made all kinds of things in just the pot. The lid let's out just enough steam so it doesn't boil over. I've only used the double boiler once to melt chocolate and it turned out exactly as expected. I love this pot and would recommend it!

Excellent double boiler/steamer pot. Great size, very versatile, and looks good too!

This double boiler/steamer is now my favorite pot in my kitchen! Its so versatile. The 4qt size is not too big and not too small. I use a double boiler fairly often for cooking dinner and can't live without one.I steam all my vegetables so that's a must have too. This pot does it all. The only thing I would caution is use hot pads. The side handles and on the lid are metal so they do get hot. I don't consider this a problem, but some might.

A very good buy

I've been wanting to get a double boiler for a very long time because they just don't seem to sell them anymore. This is exactly what I wanted. And for an extra bonus I get the steamer also. I have another steamer but it's very heavy and is getting harder for me to clean. This isvbe perfect for me. It's very lightweight and I like the stacking part of it. I can Steam vegetables and heat cheese all of the same time.

Nigerian Goats milking pans. PEEFECT!

I use these for milking Nigerian Goats, which are short and no other buckets fit under them as well as these do. And you get the heavier/taller bottom piece plus another one. The third tier had holes, but getting two decent quality milking pans has been awesome. Bought six more and shared them with fellow milkers. No rust in 90% humidity, either.

Great steamer for good price

The product is designed as double boiler as well as steamer, So far we have only used it at steamer and it surpassed our expectations. The bottom pot works with induction and is good quality. The second pit for boiling is not for induction and is lighter metal but ok. The steamer is lighter metal as well but ok. We found the steamer worked much better than our previous steamer and is easier to clean. When contacted, the seller was fast to respond.
