Better than many "high-end" cables, especially for turntables. Beat the heck out of some old overrated monster cables I had. KabelDirekt RCA: (Updated Ohms because I forgot to subtract the test equipment line resistance) 6 ft = 126 pf / .14 Ohms 15 ft = 258 pf / .35 Ohms Comparison to Emotiva X DRCA 20" for turntables: 20" = 178 pf / .00 Ohms I used the 15 ft from my mid-level phono preamp (Emotiva XPS-1), line level outputs in a place where I have no vibration interference, to my family room sound system and I couldn't tell the difference between the 6ft and 15ft. I am going to try the 3 ft next to see if they would be a good replacement for the Emotiva X DRCA cables between the TT and preamp so I can move the preamp further away from the TT. I will put the results of those here when I get them. UPDATE KabelDirekt RCA: 3 ft = 82 pf / .02 Ohms (Just got these and this is the average across 2 pairs) The 3' ft are extremely good at these numbers. I will be swapping out the Emotiva X DRCA with these to give me more length to move the preamp away from the TT. :) Only if I had a very low level MC cart would I put the X DRCA back in with the 0 ohms. Hope this helps someone.

So far so good. I bought it to cut one end off and splice into my factory wiring harness to bypass the factory Bose subwoofer amp. Much more insulation than the cheap RCA cable I considered using. This one actually has enough copper to crimp as well.

I recently did a car audio installation on my vehicle and was looking for quality RCA cables that were higher grade and could handle audio signals and hi volumes without the cables overheating or becoming exposed. After looking at other cables from popular car audio companies that cost anywhere from $60-$100 for similar length cabling, I decided to try these out instead and, for the money and quality, this might be the best set of cables you’ll find. Use them for home or auto and you’ll save lots of money and should be happy with their durability. UPDATE: A few months after installing these cables have been great! Zero issues, no overheating, no problems of any kind. Definitely happy with my purchase still!

Outstanding cables for the price! They are heavy-duty (I'd say you could run them through walls or a ceiling with no problem), and they deliver signals flawlessly. The gold-plated connectors, despite being a relatively standard feature, actually seem well-made and don't seem like they'd wear out quickly. Although the two cables are "bound" together, you can easily separate them into two cables by simply pulling the loose ends apart (like a zipper), which may be convenient for certain applications. Finally, although the cables are heavy-duty, they still flex easily and are not "rigid," which is a plus when you're trying to feed them through cramped areas. Definitely recommend!

There is much controversy in the audiophile community over the contribution that cables make to the sound of any system. Some people say that cables are crucial and they engage in creative prose to describe how this or that cable affects the sound. Others say that, as long as the connectors, in this case the phono plugs, are securely attached and the wires have not suffered oxidation, which of course happens over time and is not a concern with new cables, all cables sound the same; and they cite blind tests where audio consumers and even experts could not tell the difference between one solid cable and another. I tend to the latter position and found these cables, and several others, to do a good job; and no, I could not tell the differences, if any, among them. Perhaps this result is caused by my electronics, or my room acoustics, or my ears, but to me these cables, like the others I tried, do the job they were designed for, which is to connect one piece of audio equipment to another without any loss of signal or addition of static.

I run these cables from my Schiit Modi to my Schiit Vali 2. Works as advertised and as it should (have been using for about a week now). The wires seem to be of good quality (and are nice and thick) and it sounds like some of the issues that others have posted have been addressed. For example, a number of reviews mention that you cannot tell which cable is red and which cable is white. This is no longer the case. You can easily tell which is which because the red has a red band and the white has a white band.

Excellent product of apparent high quality; works as expected. I suppose unless one is knowledgeable and/or discriminating, the thought would be a" a cable is a cable". That is hardly the case and the difference in not only apparent in the reproduction of the sound or the cable's intended purpose. These cables are clearly intended for people who expect the best results. The craftsmanship is excellent and being that they are shielded, I checked to make sure they met that criteria. They do, and very handily. The RCA jacks are a perfect fit. I used mine on a 5.2 AV 4K receiver to power my subwoofer and it has never sounded better. Can you find less expensive ones? You can always do it if you don't care. Can you find more expensive one and are they any better? you sure can (Are you listening Monster Cables?) ... The price will not be justified - ever. Not unless you use them as a skip rope; cables that conform with certain standards and are used accordingly do not deteriorate with time. One used, there is no reason to ever remove them unless necessary as result of other issues with a sound system. I highly recommend these cables.

I ended up using a slightly better cable (at over double the price, now closer to 4x the price), but this one is almost as good as a much lower price-point. See details of the test below. I had severe hum in my turntable (with phono level outputs), and decided to start addressing the problem by using better quality shielded RCA cables. That turned out to be the right approach--it made ALL the difference, MUCH more than I would have expected. One can, in combination with this, use an external phono preamp as well and I found that this helped a little more (although most of the difference came from the cable). To help others, I here compared 4 different RCA cables. My results are calibrated simplistically by "At what volume level on my amplifier (0-80) do I hear a noticeable hum with the turntable turned on and connected, but with nothing playing?" I have two thyristor-controlled dimmable lamps (100-200W) close by that generate a lot of electric noise, so I measured this "noise threshold" parameter both with these lights off and also with both lamps set at the halfway point where they generate the most noise. For reference, the listening level (for classical piano music with quiet passages, so a tough test) was 54 on my digital volume display. So any hum or noise audible below that level would be a problem and if sufficiently above that level would not. Cable 1. $21.95. World's Best Cables, Made with Canare L-4E6S Star Quad Audio Interconnect Cable, Neutrik-Rean NYS Gold RCA Connectors, Directional Design. At https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0105PW39U but currently showing out of stock but "World's Best Cables" seem to know what they are doing and currently offer a $37.95 version at https://www.amazon.com/Foot-Directional-High-Definition-Interconnect-Connectors/dp/B01ALHY04I which is probably at least as good (should be at that price!). Cable 2 (THIS ONE). $9.49. KabelDirekt, Digital & Analogue, Double-Shielded, PRO Series. At https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DI89I04 Cable 3. $8.77. Pearstone Male to Male Audio Cable. I didn't buy this separately, but it was bundled as a "high-quality double-shielded cable" with my purchase of a turntable preamp (in case I needed to go that route--I didn't need to, the better cables did the job). You can buy the cable separately at https://www.amazon.com/Pearstone-RCA-Male-Audio-Cable/dp/B004WJMNLE and the preamp/cable bundle at https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0777NFCC5 Cable 4. $2-8. Generic RCA cable, the kind that comes included with basic stereo equipment. RESULTS: BEST: Cable No. 1 (World's Best) was measurably the best. 79 hum threshold with lights off, 67 with dimmer in noisiest halfway position. So this is your choice if money is no object (though really $20 is not so much for the difference it makes, although at closer to double that for the currently available replacement from World's Best, I'm not so sure ...). BEST VALUE: Cable No. 2 (KabelDirekt, THIS ONE) was pretty good. 72 hum threshold with lights off, 61 with dimmer in noisiest halfway position. Not as good as top-ranked No. 1 but good value at a price not much more than that of a budget cable. Would be a great choice for line-level cables and really almost as good as No. 1 in all but the noisiest environments. FINE: Cable No. 3 (Pearstone) was almost as good as KabelDirekt and just a little cheaper. 71 hum threshold with lights off, 58 with dimmer in noisiest halfway position. JUNK: Cable No. 4 (generic). 51 hum threshold with lights off, 26 with dimmer in noisiest halfway position. In addition, just moving my hands near the cable would increase the noise significantly. Since the normal listening level is 54, the turntable is basically unuseable with these generic cables.

This cable was a big surprise, I needed a long cable for a bedroom television connection to my Jolida hot rod tube amp as a secondary output. I have big name, big dollar cables for my digital and analog connections trying to achieve as pure a listening experience as possible. Being a typical audio tweek geek I thought I would do side by side comparisons with my analog hook up. Amazing how close these cables came in respect to detail and depth. And they are five times the length. I wish I new about this product before I doled out the big bucks. They are not a full on replacement but damned close!!! Highly recommend this product.

These are very good bargain RCA cables. For me these hit several high points. First I like the size of the jack its thin and can get into small spaces. I have other cables that are good quality cables, but the jacks are too large to use in tight spaces so the KabelDirekt comes to the rescue when others will not fit... Also I like the build quality and materials used. OFC is a real plus and also I like the fact that they are stranded and not solid core, also the shielding seems to be above average The cable is also very flexible which makes for an easy install. Overall it just has a quality, modern look and feel to it. I don't think I would recommend these cables for runs longer than 15 feet though... You can probably find a better cable that has a larger gage wire for runs like that, nor would I recommend these for video applications... 75 ohm is going to be hard to achieve, with these cables, partly due to the small jack, it places the negative terminal too close to the positive terminal for 75 ohm separation. You want a longer jack for video applications where the negative and positive terminals are a greater distance apart. Also the wire is not rated 75 ohm either but for 50 ohm analog audio applications in shorter lengths, these cables work really well, no hum or radio interference at least in my system these cables are dead silent.. I also have used these for a turntable (pre amp to amplifier) with no ill effects. I really didn't need any more cables at this time; but I was afraid they might stop making these cables in shorter lengths and I wanted to have a spare set on hand, in case they do stop production... If your on a tight budget or your not too worried about signal loss you might even try these in longer lengths... You can find cables that are better or of equal quality but most are going to cost you a lot more.. I find these to be well above average for cables under $20 and so they really are a good bargain cable, Cables do effect the sound some, and if your a novice or not sure what you need. Get these and rest assured that you are getting a pretty good cable even if your not sure why.
