Best Multimeter For HVAC

As a HVAC Tech I was looking for an all around good multimeter for everyday use. I know I could have spent more money and gone with another multimeter but this is the one. This combo pack has everything I’ll ever need. I did a 5 year Apprenticeship and had to have specialized schooling as well as on the job training so I’ve come across a good amount of people and their tools in the HVAC trade. Through my career it’s become apparent that most professionals always carry Fluke meters on them so the brand was a no brainer and this combo pack is exactly what it says.... It’s specifically designed for us! I couldn’t be happier about this purchase.

I used Fluke meters on the job in an industrial setting and found them to be the best, most rugged meters I'd ever used. I won't use anything else. I'm positive this meter and the clamp on ammeter will last for the rest of my life in an household environment. I would recommend Fluke products to anyone with a need of them. I have used other meters on the job and none stood up to the constant abuse like the Fluke. When I retired I gave my fluke to my apprentice and I'm sure he still has it. Buy it, you won't be sorry!

Nice features and a bunch of accessories make this a great buy.

Very nice bundle, two different style attachments for temperature reading one is a thermocouple (for probing) and the other one I believe is to wrap around a pipe like a liquid line on an AC unit. Leads seem very sturdy, they have covers on the ends that can be retracted by twisting them which is very convenient. I used the microamp setting to see what a flame sensor was putting out and it worked great. The temperature gun is awesome, I was shooting it into my coffee getting readings, maybe I will actually use it for some plenum readings in a furnace or to test thermostat accuracy. Continuity test with the audible beep is a nice feature too. The only thing is the backlite doesn't stay lit for very long, I'll have to see if there is a way to adjust it. The magnetic strap is also very nice and convenient. The case is very nice and has multiple pockets to keep everything organized, if this had an ammeter clam then it would be the ultimate perfect package and you would need nothing else.

good replacement ..

i needed a new heat laser. my old one died after a two or three years. i use them a lot to test how hot datacenter hardware are, and to test datacenter cooling vents. and sometimes i use them to test pc temps. i got it with the multi-meter . being an electronics engineer, i have many uses for a multi-meter. and i like Fluke brand. Fluke is used a lot in datacenters. i own one of their ring toners.

Great product for any HVAC service tech

This kit is amazing for an HVAC guy. You get three temperature sensors from the gun to the pipe strap meter to the free air one. The meter is also very accurate and has everything you would need to work on a furnace or air conditioning unit. If you are trying to get something for someone who just likes to read voltage on a bench or in the field then this kit has more than is needed. I was very satisfied with my purchase because it does everything I need and more. The fact that it comes with the case and the magnet are just the cherry on top.

Perfect for HVAC technicians

This is an amazingly perfect set of meters for use in HVAC work. It is purposefully designed and has all the ranges and features you want and need. The only things they need to improve this kit are: add the screw on alligator clips for the probes (add a manual for the probes), improve the hang up system with a magnet to allow a hook, provide a second strap for the second thermocouple. The negatives are not significant and I strongly recommend this kit.

Awesome kit!

I use these tools daily, a must have for the hvac technician. From line voltage to amp draws to temp drops this kit has you covered. A piece of advice though, wrap the magnet in electrical tape, wont last long in the field. And alter the temp probe, tends to break at the base. A nice loop and electrical tape will extend the life of the temp probe.

Very Satisfied

I have purchased Fluke before and have been satisfied. I purchased this bundle because of other needs and the type-K temperature strap. The bundle is well appointed and the temperature strap worked fine. I’ve run it through its paces (light testing over one day) and have not noted issues. So far, the only thing I could complain about is the polarity markings on the type-K connectors are small and hard to read (impressions on connector).

Good deal

For the price this is almost a steal. You get way better leads and the meter for almost nothing if you just want the thermometer. This is the best kit I've bought off fluke so far. The thermometer is very accurate. Download the emissivity charts or use them as references. The settings adjustments are easy no manual needed. I like the meter as a backup spare it one to be abused.
