Analon cookware is well designed, beautifully constructed cookware - a joy to use and clean up is a breeze.
I purchase this 4-quart sauce pan -- with pour spouts -- to replace a 3.5 quart one made by Calphalon. The Analon pan is of a heavier, sturdier construction than the Calphalon pan; really there is no comparison since the Analon pan is a superior product in my opinion. This saute pan is a very well thought out product; the design is functional and well balanced. The silicon handles -- especially on the lid -- eliminates the need for potholders. I like the no-drip pour spouts on either side of the pan -- no more dripping down the side and making a mess on the stove! I have never thought to use my saute pan in my oven but you can with this pan -- I haven't tried it yet but I like having the option to do so if the need arises. To be fair I probably could have used the Calphalon pan in the oven as well. I purchased an Analon starter set back in 2000 to replace my stainless steel cookware and have never regretted it. I recently purchased their 3.5-quart covered straining saucepan with spouts and have really enjoyed using it -- haven't used a colander since purchasing it. Great product, wonderful customer service and a joy to use. Oh, and clean up is a breeze!

My new favorite pan
The best thing I can say about this pan is the heat distributes evenly through the pan even on my burner that is set too close to the pan surface. ! absolutely love this pan. I first used it at a friend's house and that convinced me to find it online and buy it. The noon stick surface is a good quality. The side is high enough to fry and the grease does not splatter over the edge. When frying bacon, the grease does not easily burn on the pan surface around the bacon. It says the silicone handles can go in the oven although I have not tested it yet. Over all, it is great pan and lid. The only thing an older person might have a problem with is the weight but it is lighter than cast iron and cooks better than cast iron.

Great Size and Very Functional!
I love this Saute Pan! I have had this for a few weeks and I am very happy with it. I am piecing together a set of pots and pans without buying an entire set. I thought this saute pan may be a little too big for small tasks, but I was wrong. I use this pan for big jobs like pan frying chicken breasts and hamburger helper, and I have also used it to cook just a couple of eggs. I am learning that I do not have a need for the smaller 8" or even the 10" skillets. I always used nonstick cooking spray in the past, but it is recommended to not use sprays with these nonstick pans; I cooked eggs without anything and nothing stuck to the pan. I do have to say though, that the taste lacked something without using cooking spray, oil, or butter, so I have started cooking my eggs with a small amount of butter and they taste great out of this pan. I highly recommend this saute pan to handle the bulk of everyday jobs. It is recommended to only use low to medium heat with these pans; so I am keeping the heat low and I am hoping that the pans will not warp or lose their nonstick coating. This saute pan is a really good size to handle most tasks. It is app. 12" in diameter with tall sides. I like the drain spouts on each side to drain of ground beef or turkey grease without making a mess. I do not think that I will miss smaller skillets after having this saute pan.

This is my second one after 10 years!
We used this Anolon for about 10 years when its surface started to show some wear (little scratches) but was still quiet usable. As a treat to ourselves we replaced it with the exact model that we owned. It's a great pan we use for making stews, pot roasts, pan frying, and various other cooking tasks. Heat spread at all temperatures seems very even and the inner coating/surface is rugged enough as our 10 years showed. Since we use the Anolon approximately twice a week, those 10 years add up to a thousand usages, a thousand washings, and a thousand ins and outs of the cabinet. That's a lot of uses for any nonstick pan. Note also that many of our recipes are 3-6 hour cooking. Highly recommended high quality product.

As Good as it Gets
My wife and I have bought several different brands of non-stick frying pans over the years. We've had the cheaper ones and some that are even more expensive than this one. As long as this one is available it's all we will buy. There are three reasons we like it. First, the shape - a lot of cooking surface area. Of course it isn't for stir fry but great for everything else. Second, it goes in the oven. Third, it last longer than any other. Most other pans warp on the bottom if you apply too much heat. Then they rock forever more. This one has thick metal and does not warp. The down side of this is that it is heavy, but that's a good thing in a way because it feels more sturdy on a cooktop. Actually, I guess there's a fourth reason. The Teflon is very good. No Teflon pan lasts as long as stainless. That's just the nature of Teflon. But, this pan lasts a long time - at least three years with heavy use. For a non-stick pan, that's as good as it gets.

This is the cookware you've been waiting for!
I bought this about 4 months ago and use it several times per week. Even though I cook a lot, I am not usually one to shell out over $100 on a single pan. This was totally worth it! This one is a keeper. Truly non-stick, easy to clean, larger size can accommodate a big meal! It is heavy, but this helps with even heating (and heat retention). Looks and feels very well-made, should provide one with a lifetime of culinary delights. We're getting to be good friends, this pan and I. Bon appetit! UPDATE: Over 2 years later (May 2011) and the pan and I are like BFFs. Still cooking delightful meals, accommodating both small and surprisingly large portions, non-stick in-tact. I stand behind my previous review. Add this to your cookware arsenal and you will not be disappointed.

My all time favorite Go To pan!
This pan is so versatile! It accommodates 4 grilled sandwiches at a time! Love how easy it is to clean and that the glass lid allows me to see how my food is doing while it's cooking. This is actually my second pan, as my first one lasted for 13 years before it finally gave up the ghost. This cookware is durable and cooks evenly. Clean-up is a breeze! Do yourself a favor and get one of these for yourself. It's a purchase you won't regret!

Had four years of use with this pan...
I got four years of using this pan before I had to start greasing the pan before use, and then ultimately food would still stick, even with oiling it beforehand. Note: The pan was used 2-3 times per week for frying (in minimal oil), braising, making chili, etc.

Excellent product. It was purchased to replace a 12 ...
Excellent product. It was purchased to replace a 12 year old Kitchenaid model of the same size that the interior coating had finally succumbed to age. It appears to be virtually the same as the Kitchenaid it replaced, but this new Anolon brand was found to have about twice the thickness of the sides as the Kitchenaid. So if the Kitchenaid went 12 years, I'm guessing this will provide the same or better service. Very happy with the product. You get what you pay for with cookware. If you want a top quality product that will stand the test of time, this is well worth the investment.
