I used the middle-sized press to make empanadas using store-bought 'discos' (pre-cut pastry discs, frozen) as well as a gluten-free homemade dough. The press is great for cutting discs (you have to press and turn) as well as sealing the pies. Easy to clean - seem pretty durable! I also used the medium press to make some British-style pasties with store-bought puff pastry - cut and sealed perfectly. Highly recommended.

I loved how easy this product is to use, and how it comes in three different sizes. Made making empanadas so easy, and ravioli too. I think I’ll try dumplings next. Also makes great fruit pies and calzones. Very easy to clean too. Definitely recommend.

I love these! The middle size is just right for making meat pies. Occasionally the dough doesn't release from the mold, but is easily released by hand. When that happens, just use a fork to crimp the edges. Tip...if you have extra dough, roll it out and use the larger cutter to cut your circle. The rolled dough will "shrink" a little, so in this instance you can't use the same cutter as the mold.

This was a great purchase. They make my life so much easier when preparing ravioli and empanadas. A bit of a learning curve with knowing how much stuffing to put in, but once you get it down, this is easy breezy. A few tips is to make sure your dough covers the ridges completely. When you close it, press down hard enough to make sure the edges seal properly, and before opening, pull off any excess dough from the side. Also, if you find you dough sticking to these, just rub a tiny bit of flour on the inside. This is so much easier and more quick then making empanadas, turnover, ravioli, etc, by hand. Highly reccommend.

If you like dumplings, hand pies, pasties, empanadas, perogies, do yourself a favor & buy this. Seriously. It makes perfect pouches ever time in just seconds! Easy to clean.

I have now used these for several pocket foods -- empanadas, Jamacian beef pocket pies, fruit pocket pies, and pierogies. All have worked well. The key is making sure your dough is flexible enough to expand when closed and DON'T overfill each pocket. Definitely use "bakers glue" to seal the edge before crimping the pie closed. Be sure to press all around the inner edge of the pie mold when crimping closed each pie and remove the excess dough. Find a dough cutter of some variety that is slightly larger than you pie mold so you avoid having large amounts of left over crust.

This was a great purchase for the price. I was making empanadas and folding them by hand, which didn’t look too good. This set helps me cut them easily into circles and then easily presses them close. Consistent look each time! I like that there are 3 sizes in the set so I can make them according to my mood. Easy to wash and use. Would highly recommend for the price and functionality!

I saw this product being used by a cook on you tube. I fell in love with it because I didn’t have to crimp by hand. It comes in various sizes for dumplings and empanadas and I love it. I don’t know how I got along without it all these years

I needed something to help while making Empanadas and the 5 inch one fit the bill. It did a beautiful job of crimping and sealing the pastry. I plan to use the smaller ones eventually for making small fruit tarts. So glad that I ordered these as they were just what I needed.

These are absolutely awesome, my daughter and I made two different size of empanadas, we love the fact that there is a circle cookie cutter on the opposite side of this product to cut out your dough. Then you place the circle dough on the inside for your empanadas maker, it's super easy. We learned the hard way that putting too much meat will make the empanadas bulge out of the back of this product when you squeeze it down. Other than that, this is a perfectly well made items, and I will be buying more.
