As with most food products, this is a matter of taste. I ha e made this product with plain water as well as no sodium chicken bullion. Today I cooked a Turkey, simmered the neck and used that. Excellent taste all 3 versions. I pack meals in advance and freeze them. This rice thaws and heats well although you do need to freeze it where,it will not asorb moisture from the rest of the meal. A bit sticky, but I prefer that over all. Follow the instructions on the package for the rice to water ratio, not the generic instructions that. came with your rice cooker and it comes out perfect every time, with minimal effort and clean up. Great taste, simple to fix, easier clean up over potatoes and healthy.

Great product! It's delicious and the packaging is briliiant! Velcro shuts the bag! Why doesn't everyone do this? It's a perfect way to protect the product with ease. I use it both to eat alone, mix with my other fabulous rices and also with an anti-aging face mask recipe I got off Youtube. It's a great product and in general all my rices from Lundberg have been outstanding. Great product from a great company. I'm happy for the extra health benefits from having it be organic as well for internal and external use.

No arsenic in this rice grown in California and not China. Good rice. No plastic "rice looking" pieces.

I'm working towards a vegetarian and eventually vegan diet. I used to be low carb/Keto off/on but I'm switching. I love whole grains, rice, pasta, bread way too much to cut them out constantly. I think I will find the balance with a more whole foods plant based diet and this rice is so darn good and fits right into my plans. I hope Amazon keeps offering it... New Year again and New me again!

Excellent basmati flavor and US grown make this rice a winner. It should be cooked with less water than other rices- instead of 2 waters to 1 rice, it's better with 1.5 waters to 1 rice.

I've bought Lundberg organic rice for years because of the excellent quality and the Lundbergs' stewardship of their land. When I saw the organic white jasmine rice for sale in the "big" bag, I was concerned I would end up with a plain sack of rice without labeling or proof it was really Lundberg and organic. I'm happy to report that the bag was clearly branded and organic. In my experience, this California jasmine is less aromatic than regular jasmine rice, but only slightly so. Once cooked, there is no mistaking the aroma, flavor, and texture as distinctly jasmine rice. Because my family eats rice nearly every day, the 25 pound bag is a good deal. Overall, a total home run. UPDATE: It's March 5 2014 and I just opened the second 25 pounder ordered in October 2013 and stored until today. The rice is unblemished and dry and cooked up fragrant and perfect.

Americans usually have the upper hand over countries like India when it comes to the quality and safety of our produce, but rice is an exception. Even USDA organic American rice can have disturbingly high levels of arsenic due to the accumulation of pesticides from previous generations of cotton farming. Lundberg is the only company I know of that has tackled this problem head-on by regularly testing their products for arsenic AND MAKING THE RESULTS PUBLIC. All rice has some arsenic. So to reduce my consumption of arsenic as much as possible I use the "pasta method" and have been very pleased with the results when using this rice. The texture is chewy, not mushy, and with just the right amount of al dente when cooked for 30 minutes and allowed to rest for 10.

I buy this because my husband is diabetic and Basmati is supposed to be lower on the glycemic index than other types of whte rice. This brand is fluffy and delicious.

Our grocery store stopped carrying basmati rice. I was sad as we really like the flavor of it. Then, of course, Amazon came through. Do read the instructions as you only need 1 3/4 cups of water to 1 cup of rice. 1/4 cup less than the grocery store rice. I always bring it to a boil with a little salt and butter and then put the lid on the pot, reduce the temp to low and let it go for 20 minutes. Turn off the heat and let it sit for 10 minutes and it is just right and yummy.

This is great rice! Superb quality, and easy to prepare. The only [small] downside is that the product package does not seal "air tight", so if you live in a high-humidity environment, you should put the bag of rice into a zip-lock bag, and consider putting a pack of desiccant (silica gel) into the zip-lock bag too. You can purchase desiccant via Amazon at a good price, and it is great for preserving freshness of any dry goods (herbs, rice, cereals, flour, etc).
