Factory Toyota piece works great
Fits perfectly using the five torx bolts that hold the front top rail on. As others have complained it doesn't come with plastic end caps but those don't really serve much purpose and would be annoying to remove and reinstall when adding or removing mounts. You can see in my photo the ends are nicely finished and the whole rail is black powder coated just like the two side rails. It recesses perfectly under the top rail. Use a drill with a clutch to remove and install and set it to the lightest setting. Use a ratchet or torque wrench to snug it down. IMO, it should have come with the truck stock, but I'm not going to ding the product a star over it.

2018 off road. Holes predrilled. Use T-30 Torx
Fits 2018 off road. Holes predrilled. Use T-30 Torx bit and small extension. There are nutplates on the back already, so no nut has to be accessed on the back. There is a drain hole, so put that side down. The cap on the front top of the bed sticks out more than on the sides, so unscrew the tie down rings all the way to get them in the track. Consider leaving those two installed.

should be standard on the truck
Fit my 2017 Toyota Tacoma. Uses same screws that hold the front bed cap already installed in truck. Just use lock tight to secure in place. Does not come with rail ends but I ordered those from the dealership. I installed a bike rack onto the rail that holds my bike securely in place. Heavy duty powdered coated steel.

The factory didn't include the 3rd rail
Don't understand why Toyota stopped including this on the Gen 3 Tacoma but This one (along with the end caps I also got) put me in business. An install note: I did have to get a ΒΌ" x 1" x 72" aluminum bar stock at local hardware store... I marked the holes and the length. Cut to length, drilled holes starting with 1/8" and working up ti 5/16". Now it sits the same as the factory side rails.

Fits 3rd Gen Tacomas easily
Why Toyota didn't include this front side bed rail from the factory on the 3rd Gen like the apparently did on the 2nd Gen is beyond me, but this at least fits the existing holes with torx screws already in the bed of the 3rd Gen. Install is super easy. It does NOT come with the bed rail end caps however so just keep this in mind. A set of 2 OEM bed rail end caps is about $28 here on Amazon so pick a set of those up as well if you care at all - I did.

Easy install
Arrived on time in good condition. Took about 10 minutes to install, not counting the time it took to remove and reinstall my OEM Tri-fold Tonneau Cover. Removed 5 T-30 fasteners, lined up the center hole with the center threaded hole on the bulkhead. Tightened the T-30 fastener finger tight. Lined up the remaining holes with the bulkhead threaded holes, inserted the remaining fasterners, and finger tightened the remaining T-30 fasteners. Used a ratchet to tighten down the remaining fasteners and a torque wrench set at 20 lbs to finish off the tightening. Looks good. More tie-down points are always useful, as long as you don't over load them.

OEM for 2016 Tacoma rail system
OEM front rail for the 2016 Tacoma. Toyota stopped including the front channel on the 2016, and only includes the two sides ones (stupid), but this fits just right. The screws are torques heads, so be sure you have a torques set, and the are TIGHT, so also be careful not to strip them.

Header rail fits 2017 Tacoma like a glove
Wanted a way to mount bicycle fork locks in my new 2017 Tacoma without drilling holes in the bed. The holes on the header rail matched those on the surface adjacent to the rear window. It only took a few minutes to remove the existing screws, line up the header rail, and reinstall the existing screws. Mounted the bicycle fork locks and it looks like a factory install. The header rail arrived ahead of schedule and even though the box was beat up, there was no damage to the rail. It is an original Toyota part. Don't know why they don't come on the 2017 Tacomas??!!

Only thing I would have like to see with this product is the plastic stoppers ...
Product came fast! Fits my 2017 Toyota Tacoma Off Road. Only thing I would have like to see with this product is the plastic stoppers that go on the ends of each side.

Fits 2020 Tacoma DCSB perfectly
Fit the Tacoma like it was made for it (which it is...). Sturdy, perfectly matches side rails and easy to install. Way too expensive, but that's the price you pay for OEM equipment. Amazon still cheaper that getting it from a local dealer, though. It's a shame Toyota does not include this with the truck like they used to. Offers more options for tie downs and/or for mounting things (I put an axe on mine).
