Arrived boxed
It worked; generator starts/runs, no leaks. Most difficult part of installation was cleaning off the original PTFE tape. I liked that it is packaged inside a small cardboard box, given that some vendors just put it in a polybag. The reason I needed one is I managed to bump the barbed fitting while putting the generator away and snapped it off, so a little extra protection seems prudent. (Wish I'd noticed _before_ the hurricane knocked out power for a couple days.) Some vendors also sell two for about the same price. I'd like to think this one would consequently be more durable, but I doubt it. Amazon is asking me to rate this for "Sheerness" which is rather odd. I suppose the perforated bits of the fuel inlet/filter tube are slightly see-through, but overall it is opaque. In case that indicates a reused item listing, I'm reviewing a gasoline shut-off valve.

Easy M10 X 1.25 male fuel petcock replacement
This M10 x 1.25 (typical for small overhead gas tanks on gravity-fed engines) male threaded fuel petcock was a simple install. The new fuel cut off valve is shown on the L - has a far smaller surface area than the original that was on my All Power APG generator (APG3014). Installed fine and no leaks - a short run shows that there is no fuel starvation with the smaller filter surface area. Time will tell if this valveās internal rubber gasket will survive exposure to gasoline. The original lasted only 5 years.

Worked great
I had a different model of the valve that I installed a couple of months before I bought this new model. The generator was just sitting in the garage and it broke where the valve went into the tank. It leaked out several gallons of gas onto the garage floor while I was out of town for a few days. I was lucky that nothing sparked a fire. The new valve works great and has no chance of breaking, like to other one.

Exactly what I needed
After reading some of the reviews I had concerns about the item. Upon receiving my order I was extremely pleased to see that the item was exactly what I needed and a perfect match to the original part. I'm beginning to wonder about the negative reviews and the reasons behind them. Parts like these are specific to certain applications and I think people aren't researching their correct models and are just looking for a similar item. I'm amazed by the amount of diversity of items that are available on Amazon and it's now the first place I look regardless of what I need

Good fit for HF generator
This was a direct replacement for the leaking one in my Chicago electric generator from HF. Just remember to use thread tape approved for gasoline, the yellow kind. Only time will tell if it will hold up!

Works Great!
This worked perfectly and is exactly what I thought I was getting. I would have liked to have known the overall dimensions when I was making the purchase. The dimensions should be a part of the description.

Repacement fuel valve
Bought this to replace the original fuel valve on my Yamaha generator. The original had a plastic valve lever which disintegrated over time. Replacement has a metal lever, works well.

Perfect
Best bang for the buck. Carb was a perfect fit. The rest was icing on the cake. Got a free generator that didn't run. Now it runs perfect. Cheaper than a carb kit

Champion generator
Installed on a champion 5500 generator and fit perfect with no leaks. It came exactly as shown, meaning when I look at valve on/off the outlet is to the left. No leaks and the on/ off function works great.

So the original shut off was clogged and needed to ...
So the original shut off was clogged and needed to be replaced since as soon as I touched it it broke right off. I finally determined that it was soldered in which made it fit very well and likely also weakened the pot metal. After rinsing it out a few times and letting it dry overnight I put a torch to it and the solder melted. I cleaned the threads and replaced the valve with a new one and a plumbers (safe with gas and oil) sealant.
